Nice logic. Theres negative facts you can point out for every game. Doesnt make them "mediocore". Opinions and all that. -

I loved the first two BIA games, i thought they were great. It did an amazing job of putting you on the ground in France '44 during the invasion with amazing authenticity, a good amount of realism and great squad controls. It didnt follow the "OMGZ THIS IS SUPER IMPOTANT MISSION ONLY U CAN COMPLET!!" like so many games but allowed you to just follow the story of one sqaud taking part in the invasion, completing missions from the highly famous jump into France to the straight forward advance through France clearing the way, take that building covering the road to that town, clear the streets of this city etc. Just seems some people want the game to cater to themselves and ignore how good it was in its own right. -
No more then the V-22 and it turned out alright.

US Army berets have always looked stupid anyway. Some daft overly modern looking badge on them with a weird rigid looking shape. They're not proper berets like:

No problems, happy days. Anyway this is looking great. Im wondering how many units we can control at once. I know the original you could only have a few, by the looks of it BIS is staying along those lines. -

Complaining about consoles: "I find the lack of depth in many games now an issue." Childish nonsense: "Stoopid console kiddies, your opinion us invalid go back to HALO. Im so mature and expect mature games for mature gamers like myself. The second part is so often how muture adult "PC only" gamers come across. -

Also how much sea is there? Are all the islands bunched together or is there a fairly vast amount of ocean to hide in?

Cant belive it. :( Road to Hill 30 is one of my favorite all time games. I somehow managed to play it on every platform. First the crappy PS2 version, then the decent Xbox version and finally most recently on PC. Compare this to the new trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3O9ifGBgmA -
Hitman 5: Absolution announced

All of the games mentioned are PC games (and Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six were born on PC?) as well as console games and the ones ive mentioned were successfull on both platforms. I would say the direction developers are taking games is a far bigger issue then then how many players you could have online. To be honest you seem to be supporting my point. Ignoring the choices devs made while focusing on the limitations. I would rather play the old Ghost Recons with 24 players then the new new ones with 64. Whats really the biggest issue that’s led to the downfall of these games? Regenerating health and over the shoulder cam with run and gun gameplay… or less player capacity per server online? Bearing in mind they could simply up the PC capacity if they wanted too? -

Few and far between? Lets just stick to Ubi. Is there some console limitation that meant the new Rainbow Six games had to have over the shoulder 3rd person? They had to have that new crappy health system? That had to have all those new changes? Nope. They could have easily have stayed with the old formula but they chose not to. Same with GRAW. They had the capacity to have big open maps with open gameplay and the old style squad loads but they chose to go with the magic pips showing you where enemies are and on the rails type gameplay. And now with the new one to go invisible. Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway. Did they have to have the over the shoulder view, the new health system etc? No, they chose to do it and ruined one of the best tactical shooters of all time (that was a massive success on te Xbox btw). Hitman has always been on the console, but if (god forbid) the devs choose to mess it up, dumbing it down people will blame the console when "limitations" have nothing to do with it. How can they? The Hitman we know is a console game... This is what i mean by people just need to accept the fact that many devs are choosing to make these changes to suit themselves rather then their fans. I would say in some ways blaming consoles is becoming the easy way out for people just looking for something to focus there frustration at. -

I mean people blaming consoles specifically for the dumbing down. It has happened in the past im not denying, but people assume its always the case that a developer has to dumb it down on console. Like i said, look at Splinter Cell. It was a huge success on consoles, all of them, they sold massively and had a huge fanbase...so why did we end up with conviction? Why did Ubi take it that direction? It wasnt a case of Ubisoft selling out to "consoles" it was a case of them selling out to anything they thought was "cool" and would make them more money. It was nothing to do with it being a console game as it had always been. Im not saying dont do anything about it as someone who used to play Splinter Cell im pissed too. But dont blame it on "consolization" every time, because it just isnt fair. The simple fact is its Ubi wanting to make even more money. Its Ubi's fault, its a choice they made, they didnt have to dumb it down. The games were already popular, console and PC games alike loved them. But still they did it. How is that the "consoles" fault? Thats what i dont get. -

Someone blames consoles, i say people always blame consoles rather then devs simply selling out....you interpret that as "dont complain" rather then blame the right people. Um. Ok. Yeah. -

Fair enough but im tired of people blaming consoles every time a game doesnt turn out how they like...even when its a console game. Splinter Cell Conviction is a good example. People blamed "console dumbing down" for its crappyness when every Splinter Cell before it had been on console and huge successes. Seems like these days people just focus their anger on consoles, ignoring the reality that these days frankly many of their favorite devs are selling out no matter how successful theyve been on any format. -

Sounds to me like someone moaning for the sake of it. Apart from the first its always been a console game. -
My god are you really getting chippy because of the work i used. No i dont have proof, i recall reading it somewhere yesterday, and frankly i cant be arsed to find it. Im not looking for some huge debate i know you love. And if were getting chippy over words "maybe" or "i think" would imply i was guessing, which i wasnt.

Read my post again, i didnt say you didnt separate opinion from fact, i said was you make your opinion sound like fact. Just an observation. The last part i dont even know what you're on about. Why do i need proof for anything again?
