hmm, well thats true, but i could also say the same about your claim of a 30fps cap, see what i mean?
-
i will do my utmost to show you a video, let me just add, i run with vsync forced ON, to stop tearing when im using my track ir, and of course triple buffering helps then.
-
it is not internally capped, 60fps in menu, 60 fps in game, do i have to show some screenshots?
-
get out of the wrong side of bed today moosenoodles? ok, it is this tweaking and perserverance, and reading and collecting of information that has got me satisfied with the state my ArmA 2 game is in. i play online mostly, on hold servers, with 30 people, and in cities, 40-60 fps, why would i make it up? believe me or dont believe me, i was making a point that there is NOT an fps cap as i get 60fps regular. my thoughts are that people are buying this game and expecting it to be call of duty, and they are so shocked and surprised when their million dollar machine wont play well on the highest settings, start low, then work your way up, find a balance between playability and eye candy, for the record i am running @ 1680x1050, some settings on low, some normal, and some high.

well, its not internally capped, i get close to 60 fps, most of the time, occasionlly it drops down to 30-40, and im by no means running a super computer. E6850 C2D OC @ 3.75ghz GTX 260 182.50 drivers 4GB corsair DDR2 800 low cas

GTX 260 4GB corsair ddr2 800 low latency E6850 C2D oc @ 3.75 Track ir 5 running arma 2 @ 1680x1050, runs close to 60 fps most of the time, sometimes drops when lots of ai is involved but it is still very playable, almost everything on normal and some things on high, looks good, feels atmospheric, and WORKS!!!!! -
your right helmut, it does go back to normal, or disabled once you set it to low, then back to off again.

i have the same issue too, strange one eh??

I would just like to say how pleased i am about ArmA 2, its an awesome game, with unrivalled ambition, i used to play ArmA 1 quite a bit, ok the netcode back then was pretty terrible, but it was the atmosphere when playing coops with my buddys that kept me coming back, sneaking around at night, actually whispering to each other on comms because it started to feel quite real. So i thought if ArmA 2 could just recapture that aspect, and fix the netcode for the larger mp modes, it would be great, but no, they went further than that, the graphics are even better, the atmosphere is electric, and i have never seen night time done so brilliantly in a game, its so darm spooky in those woods at night, also game performance is pretty sweet too, i think a lot of people expect cod 4-5 performance, but forget this is a completely different game, where 60fps isnt needed, generally mine runs above 30fps, more often 50+fps, and that's at 1680x1050 with 100% fill rate (set in config) and most options on high, in single player and multiplayer i might add. I have seen so many negative comments about this game, so i just thought i would add my opinion, and say a thankyou to the dev's for their efforts. -
im trying to re-activate my downloaded(sprocket) copy of arma, but after i put the cd key in succesfully, it comes to the softwrap license bit, i try to reactivate and it says it doesnt recognise the code, i have got the emails from them with the codes on so they are correct, for the record i am re-installing arma on a new OS.

well jerry hopper,if ya look in the trouble shooting section you will see a post called "securom my ass" that will explain all,its not only me but a few others who have this prob with securom and mounting the image on DT is the only way around it(few reg tweaks). ill try get a screeny soon,i have also heard of other fade attributes...like shots goin wild...not encountered those yet.
