Hope? God if i could i would beg at their office to come over to the consoles! They would dominate COD and certainly the joke named Operation Flashpoint 2!

lol true that but that was a mistake from my copy paste into this forum. thnx anyway m8

sweet! i figured it out already.. when hitting apply it gives the error (figures as the target does not excist) but when i just hit "ok" instead of apply it puts it there anyway and it goes pretty fast for me. Thanks again gents!
-
good to see that it still works, but i keep getting the message that its an invalid path.. Sorry i'm a noob at this, can you gents please specify how to put it in the target box ? Lets say i put it like this.. "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" arma.exe -nosplash -world=empty ? it states the error invalid target box? I remember i had it with ofp too but i can't figure out the way to fix it.. Thanks again gents!

and still no statement from BIS or Gamespy.. frustration is what i'm thinking about at the moment..

Hi, Couldn't find this anywhere, but i remember back in my OFP days that we could add ~-nosplash (or something similar) to your .exe file which would skip the intro. Is this possible. and if so does any1 know the trick to do so? I'm not using the quicklaunchtool as thats not working properly for me. Cheers, Allstar

I disagree on the topic. I play this game on 640x480 as my rig just can't handle any more and i still enjoy every minute of playing this game. I skipped the campaign as AI is always crappy not just in Arma but in general. MP is what its all about. Arma unlike any other game, has a mature community and this combined with its realism, graphics and mod community makes its a game that is way ahead any other game. All the bugs will be cleared sooner or later, we all know that.. Only thing is didn't like to see is that BIS created another server list based on Gamespy which in my opinion isn't necessary at all! P4 3.0 GHz 1 gig Ram ATI 9800XT (256mb)

read on in this thread m8, the server list is provided by gamespy, however the word goes that the service of gamespy for armed assault is currently down.. No statements or what so ever confirmed this yet but this is probably causing it.. just wait it out i guess..

I'm actually wondering why we haven't heard anything yet from BIS or Gamespy regarding the fact that we can't play at the moment. (i know we can play via direct IP but at the moment thats not working fine). Is this just one of the many bugs in arma or is it really gamespy that is causing this? One thing i hoped to see in arma other then grapichal enhancement, is that they would cut the connection with gamespy..
-
This list isn't accurate at all to me. Once connected to one of the servers with a few players it turns out to be empty.
-
Nevertheless i think lots of players will play Arma as i think so many people still know what Flashpoint meant for the next-gen first person shooters back in 2001.
-
my point exactly..
-
"E3 is much more interesting" Is BIS more hoping for the game to explode (in a good way ofcourse) in the US or in Europe ? With flashpoint i always had the idea that Europe was the continent where the game settled best..?
-
I remember the kill-cam in Call of Duty.. people instantly knew where i was which cut my survival change in half.. i don't think a game such as AA can use this, if the game feeds on realism.

Most important thing that arma needs is the flashpoint feel.. Don't think we need to tell BIS what arma needs when it comes to the game as they already did one hell of a job with flashpoint..
