Hi Matt, Just played on your latest version and I am getting a lot of different error messages, not sure if this is just me because I have not had any problems with all your previous versions. What is scaler? is really weird where it says your funds it says scalar and you have unlimited cash to buy. Another problem i had after about 30 mins when pressing T for the menu nothing came up. btw love the size of this map and dont mind long drives etc, adds to realism

Its probably too late but BIS should change the name otherwise alot of people will avoid it because of their early ARMA experiences. In a lot of ways i agree with this. there are people, who like me will buy it because there is nothing else to compare and for the last 7 years operation flashpoint and then armed assault are the only ones that go for the realistic stratergy etc. I know people personnaly that i convinced to buy arma (after me going on about it for about 2 years before release) were very dissapointed and wont buy the next one. I have 2 teenage boys that i have tried to enlighten but they did not like it and prefered their console cod4 (this i can work on). The point is i do think they need to change name and advertise properly because they amount of people that i meet who are into gaming but when they ask what game you playing at the moment and you reply arma ? Sometimes its a good thing and it keeps a lot of idiots away but it would be a sad day for me if bis stopped making this type of game

I love this map and it brings another dimension to a really good game. I have only spent a few hours playing but had no problems and no lag. I have been trying to make a map like this for over six months but could not get it to run without lag etc. Bis have done a good job with this one Well done.... I dont understand all the moaners and complainers.."its a free addition if they dont like, dont play, carry on what they were doing before.

Can someone just clarifiy if we are talking about Armed assault 2 or operation flashpoint 2. I am under the impression that they are two very seperate games by different studios. This post is under the title armed assault 2 but replies are saying opf2, dont mean to be petty but im a little confused ?

Well I upgrade my pc on a regular basis. At the moment i have duel core amd 6000+ (runs at about 3gig) 4 gig of 800 ram Geforce 7950GT with 512 ram and I still dont think it runs it that well. So what that next one will need is beyond me. Flashpoint could never be set to the max no matter what spec you had

Hi all, Just tryin to set up my server its on a separate pc but on same network. I have transfered all game over (1.08 version). I can launch server and join it no problem and is visible to all online. The problem is that i cannot get it to see the config file so i can name and edit settings etc. I have looked and searched for days but keep coming up with the same things. Can anyone please help with this problem. Many thanks......

All working perfect now thanks to Andy, tankbuster and Aussie. but all input was very welcome. I just copied that config that Andy posted and changed the target line and hey presto it worked.

Looks like i got a few things to look through. Been away for a few days but will try this weekend to sort it out. Things look quite possitive just looking at all your postings Thanks all!!!

Thanks Aussie, tried to edit the config file while the server was running and i could edit it without any problems, so it is not using it....Thanks Also Mosh thanks for your input, tried that and guess what still no joy

Andy, not a problem, dont mean to be cruel but im glad sombody else got same problem. Ive tried all the same things as you but still not working. Server works fine and people connect ok but just cannot use pasword and server name etc...Also tried all those combinations but just same!

Feel really thick now, where do i find the launch command line, and thanks for your help both of you...Just that whatever i do does not seem to make any difference. i thought the command line was where it says target on the short cut? Another point is that i dont have the game installed as such just transfered, but it does say on the wiki that this is how you do it for standalone server. am i correct?

thanks for your reply, yeah this is my problem i have done all that. but when i launch the server the server name is the pc name and i cannot edit it, so it must not be seeing the config file. i have done the config file as it says and saved it with notebook but still no joy! One thing i dont understand is where it says the config file could be called anything. The real name is determined by -config command line option when launching the dedicated server?

Dont think it matters too much about top spec pc, i think it is like flashpoint where its not really possible for anybody to run on full settings. I got: 7950gt 512 2 gig ram 4200 dual core I have tried every combination but still cannot run it much above medium settings. dont get me wrong im happy with the way it runs and im sure you will be. Its the view distance that you have to sacrifice to get the game to run smooth. one of the combinations i did get 60 to 70 fraps but like i said you loose the view. Just have to say that im really getting into this game now and think it is really good, was a but unsure after playing flashpoint for so long but its a good sequel..

Well im 41 with 2 boys and im more excited then them to see a new game release, which they cannot understand and think im mad lol.

most look good but the one with the tracks burried in the road hopefully will be sorted out. cant wait to play coops again

I think the game is looking great and looking forward to playing. Watched the video and was very impressed. The only thing that i can pick on is the part where a helicopter is hit on the ground and all the trees around seem to lower into the ground hope this will be sorted.

I think Bis know what they are doing and we should leave them to it. we are showing support by using this forum. Please dont tell me im the oldest or too old for this cos im a lot older than in my tweenties

I hope they dont put any type of revive in the game as it is just unrealistic. when you dead you dead i think this is the most realistic and it makes you a lot more cautious in your game play which in turn is more realistic. with regards to switching all they have to do is put in the option to disable that will please all concerned.
