    Problem with background picture

    i found if u get your background image in ,a mesh comes with it,but if u save it & then go back in v3, the bmp shows up,but dont mess with the opacity,because it gets the mesh back .

    just put your name in discript,that will come up in map, :)like you might want to name a city etc.

    I made a map but there is always dark patchies where the shodows were made in L3DT. how do u do away with the shadows in L3DT ?,but also keep the stratering.
  12. The title saids it all, how can you unbinarize these files . im trying to make some new rocks for my desert map, a bit more sandy colour,but i dont want to change the original, any ideas ................thanks if u could help.....:)

    Satellite mask image creation

    try this, open m&s, click on background where my black arrow is & click ok,do this to both layers. Then drag m to s ,go to view & select snap,this will snap your m to your s, then go to opacity & adjust to your liking, now u can play with your mask to your sat. hope this helps for now :) let me know if you want more info bud.

    get your sat picture & your mask up in photoshop,drag your sat pic in to your mask,u should have to layers,then on your sat, lower the opacity till u see the mask,then on your mask pick the colour u want by using maggic wand,tolerance at 20 or 30,go small values for small bits,this picks out the colour,theres so many ways ,uhave to go to youtube for some ideas,ive had 8 years experiance with ps,so it takes time.

    can u tell me if i got to make a folder called plants2,& put it in p CA folder to get plants working,i know about the configs, ive got to change then to ca\,but i cant understand about making the plants to work, & the ladders to work......................thanks if u can help me on this:)

    if u copy utes pbo & extract it ,go to the data folder & your see the middle texture called ut_middle_mco. this is midway texture air view, if u are using sample2 configs it should put that texture in, plus put that ut_middle_mco texture in with your data folder, when u find midDetailTexture = "ca\SampleMap2\data\ut_middle_mco.paa"; in your configs ,u can make your own middle texture a bit like your sat but it is just one layer like pisek_detail_co thats the one i used. call it what u want but u must change the configs , midDetailTexture = "ca\SampleMap2\data\ut_xxxxxxxx_mco.paa"; the xxxxxxx is where u put your name for your mddle texture:)
