Getting an "ideal" contractor would require "playing Dr.Frankenstein" with the still unreleased ArmA modding tools: Civilian baseball cap + Russian style ammo pouches + US style flack vest + lower part of the Sniper model + self-made reporter jacket. I tried (twice) to include a guy without head gear (a captive) but somehow it doesn’t work. The unit simply doesn’t appear on the editor’s list. I don’t know why.

No, just the standard "chocolate chip" cammo directly taken from the game. I was lazy this time

Well, the light colored patches are purposely here, they are supposed to disrupt the main cammo pattern so that a human silhouette would be harder to recognise (that the purpose of disruptive patterns). These patches also look a bit like rocks or small piles of dirt so they also play a mimetic role (i.e. blending into the background). Here are screenshots of the squad auto rifleman in woodland Nogpat cammo :

The mission has been updated to Version 1.21 (there are only minor changes so it was not worth calling it Version 1.3) Available on the Armaholic website (thanks Foxhound ): http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=869

Here are the 1st screenshots of the requested Woodland Nogpat. Darkened the colors and deleted the "rock like" patches of the dryland cammo. Now it looks a bit like the Danish 1990 cammo, which seems logical considering Nogova is supposed to be a Baltic island. officer in Woodland Nogpat1 officer in Woodland Nogpat2 Woodland and Dryland Nogpat
  10. I confirm. Used it to create the "Typhoon over Rahmadi" mission, without encountering any problem. Great tool

Thanks for the suggestions Will require either a huge .pdo file or more likely several different files and...a lot of time

Well, during WWII (and in WWI btw) the Germans did rather complex cammos on their vehicles (without the help of any computer). But I see your point, especialy regarding the chopper, most camouflages on vehicles tend to be max 3 colors only. I'll see what I can do (deleting the "white" paint for example) on a forthcoming release .

And you've not seen the vehicles' cammo yet The new version of the Nogova Army (version 1.1) is available (see 1st page of the thread). Additional units include: - Crewman screenshot: HERE - BRDM-2 Screenshots HERE HERE And HERE - BMP-2 (no it's not a WWII Panther tank ) Screenshots HERE HERE And HERE - Pilot and MH6 (don't like the MH-6 much with this cammo but the pilot needed a chopper, might replace it with a better cammo in the future) Screenshot HERE and HERE Will see if I can retext Woodland NogPat thanks again for your advices Col. Women civilians

I hope this ungrammatical riposte wasn't directed at me! This pointless argument has been done to death already in another thread. Don't worry the "we want women in ArmA!" thread will resurface on the forum from time to time until BIS/some modders eventualy release women in ArmA. Then the next thread will be "we want women in bikinis and mini-skirts in ArmA!". Just kidding.
  19. Is seems the old OFP command to make a soldier (kind of) unmortal doesn't work anymore. Checked the Biki looking for the replacement command but couldn't find it. Or maybe they corrected the typing mistake and replaced it by "this allowDamage FALSE" with a single "m" ? Could you pls help. Thanks in advance.

  21. Try the TroopMon by Charaonos; saves you running around between the battles and gives you a whole lot more functionality incl. camera angles etc etc. Thanks I’ve heard of TroopMon (downloaded it but never tried it), but sometimes you need the character(s) to do some kind of specific action in play testing: Shoot a guy, set a pipebomb, enter a specific area, climb into a vehicle, etc…to check if triggers work properly. Can TroopMon do it without having a “tester†on the field?

    Modern Nogova Army by Plasman

No offence ,but I already replied to this question: To be frank I first started the project as a possible replacement for the game’s US ACU cammo which might be OK for urban environment but not for other places in Sahrani/Rahmadi. But I found it a bit impersonal to call them 'Troops in fictional cammo' and decided the make a reference to Nogova. Now these soldiers have personality.

    Configs?

About the tools: If it's for addon creation (well retexturing of existing models actually) purpose Notepad ( must be somewhere in your hard disk ) will do the trick for editing configs You'll also need - MakePbo and Unpbo available at http://www.mapfact.net/include....tid=115 To pack and unpack .pbo files - Textview available at http://www.flashpoint1985.com/docs/textview.html In order to turn .paa files into .tga ones and viceversa (if you're not using Photoshop which benefit from a handy plugin to convert .paa files) - HxD available at http://mh-nexus.de/hxd/ To change the paths to textures in the models files - Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop or The Gimp or any other image processing software (Paint not recommended) for editing textures. - A lot of patience and a calm behaviour (that’s the most basic requirement). I know nothing about AI and weapon dispersion editing. So cannot help on this matter.
  24. Thanks. It was handy for play testing of your missions. Of course you could always use a civilian to wander around and see how the mission was doing (both sides wouldn’t shoot you), but sometime with all this lead/shrapnel flying you could be hit by mistake.
