    Really? You don't need to put it up like "give me screens" to mean the same thing... You are so wrong. The devs don't make money out of it. They don't get pay for it. A game's main purpose is to make money out of. This is not. So how can you compare it? Believe it or not, when someone is making a mod, they first do it for themselves. Then for the community. Taking screens takes time. Posting here takes time. Would you rather have screens and shit or a mod that works well? besides, i know it is said that a pictures is more than a 1000 words, but some features cannot be represented in pictures... So, rest assured that ACE:IMWM development is not halted, and there is a huge amount of progress achieved each day

    Cartridge Addon

    those are server_arma.rpt errors. And they were not there before trying to use the cartridges. SO there is a problem with it, i didn;t checked the config yet so i am not sure what the problem really is. But it does affect server fps, and does slow down my PC when using it (arma effects earlier version were affecting the client side fps as well, even without server side errors due to increased cycles needed for them. latest version suffered a lot of optimization). So i guess the request would be to look into them, see if there can be a compromise so they can be used without kicking the server ass. Regards
  4. make sure you don't have -mod=beta there in your shortcut same, make sure your game uses the \arma\arma.exe and not \arma\beta\arma.exe Regarding the other class von id, that is not set in your arma.cfg or armaprofile.cfg (can;t remember). It might be the usernameprofile in your arma other profiles folder hope that helps.

    made my day! IF you actually need a a system that will stick your character to a wall or alike, your game has problems. So before suggestion anything like that, note that arma is meant to be 1st person shooter, and 3rd is always disabled on tactical and tourney servers. What i do miss is my avatar lowering the gun then really near an object. You can get stuck way to often in between two buildings because the gun will not fit. Other that that, i see no point of using gimmicks just for the sake of the GTA and console players

    It all depends on how badly injured you are as well. You could say that on the field of battles, most of the shots are not deadly (mind that nowadays soldiers do use armored vest) unless vital organs are touched by the bullet. So instead of ppl dieing, they could be severely wounded (same to what norrin revive script does after all) so a revive in fact would be in fact a healing (in the world of games i find healing severely wounds on the field acceptable)... It all depends on implementation, and on how can the players change this during their gameplay (difficulty settings)

    I agree with Victor here: there should be a hell lot more vehicles for the Russian, rather than old and forgotten vehicles. Same goes for US. Mind that even if the campaign is US only, a very big part of arma is based in MP, tourneys, etc (pvp and coops) and even if the vehicles should NOT be by any means equivalent, and there should be some advantages and disadvantages, they can have similar abilities: US additions: Bradleys (m2a2 or m2a3, together with the m6 Linebacker) LAV-25 East additions: Mi28N (it is used on a larger scale than the ka52 anyways) Tunguska Sukhoi SU-30/27 - it is the same family with the current arma su34 Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot BTR-80/90 IFVs T-80/T-90 MBTs

    wow....hello!!! wake up! missions are made by the community in 99% of the cases. I don't want not to be able to restrict some weapons, or to allow them all based one what i want to achieve. Plus all this kind of gimmicks do feck up the team-play, and you got kids running around score-whoring for that "nice looking GOLD Svd".... I prefer servers with no kill messages, and no score boards

  12. No, can't be done in the ArmA engine. Besides, i'm sorry to say so, but have you ever looked through a weapon scope, or some sort of binoculars, magnification gadget? You will not be able to see that the way it is in the picture, nor will the focus be like that...

  19. Nice looking guys. Looking forward to it. In a public community there are always those kinds of remarks and ppl. It is just the way it is. Maybe in the BIS' there are more (or they seem that way) because (some)ppl are already frustrated by the game itself....

    Vilas' addons

    Very cool addon, i have checked especially the vibi pack, and focus mostly on the t72b era and bradley models. So i have a list of bugs M2, M2A2 and T72B era can be driven underwater Also, if you hit them in the tracks, the whole hull goes red, i i guess some hit points are missing (although i have checked the configs and are there) The dumpers still don't work, but i found that the annoying bouncing from the previous release is not that obvious. The i haven't checked the rvmat, but for some reason the bradley and the t72b era have a glossy effect rather that having a shine only in the "scratched areas" of the specular map. Although there are still a good number of textures for the inside cargo view, the actual FPS has improved a lot, probably by having only a couple of textures for the outside model. Very good addon Vilas, keep them coming (improved :P)

    good initiative MDX. So far only a few addon creators have signed their addon/mods. Right now, running a server without the "condom" signature check provides, maybe together with BE si nuts, and results in server crashes (ppl still try to connect with mods that are not optimized for MP). @ kellys-heroes we are signing all the addons/mods, and using yoma players can get all the mods that the server is allowing, together with sig files. But that means ppl need to get yoma (witch is really easy to use, but a lot of arma players are not so technical or just lazy), then get the server details and configure the tool...etc. Anyway, the best thing to do is what you mentioned above, where more than 1 server does this, and all the signatures are available for eveyone. The server admins, together with the addons creators need to help here. Then, the players will learn what to do easily if the base is done. just my 2 cents

    BattlEye problems

    Yes, the problem that i got is the following: Even if a server crash, or if a client looses connection, he will still be on the server for 90s. That is the default arma server/netcode settings (without BE). If during this time your ISP kicks back in, you will be able to stay on the server no problem Using BE on the other hand, seems to lock you on that screen forever (the one where you see "no message received for xx seconds", even if your ISP kicks back in. So here goes the 90s rules. (if you are telling me BE only sends packages to the clients for 30s, and then consider them "out of the server"). I don't see myself being kicked, i am on the "no message..." screen till it reaches 90s, then i get the "session lost" message. This is a first time i have to deal with this as most of the time my ISP is just fine. What i am trying to say is that, even some of the fault being on the client side, the BE should not kick the players (or lock them for that matter) before the same time (90s) has expired.

    BattlEye problems

    Well, i have just tested it today without my will. My ISP gave me a lot of headache, i had packages received fail randomly for like 2-3 seconds, then everything went back to normal. Usually, before activating the BE after the 1.14, that would result in "player losing connection" message, but i was able to play on after the "no message received for XX seconds". Now, even if my connection is fine, once i have a few packages lost, the counts carries on to 90s then i am kicked back to the lobby. So i am guessing that BE thinks i lost connection and for that reason it doesn't send me any more packages. Anyway, i think this is one of the reasons i see so many ppl getting kicked in the middle of the game. Please don't give me: you connection probably sux line, as it doesn't (10Mb line), and there are arma players with different types of connections, not only 100Mb

At the moment we have to sign it ourselves and then link a download page where you got the signature files and addons as well. A bit sloppy from addons makers i'd say (besides a few)

    RECOILS 1.08 vs 1.12

    No one posted the exact same words, yeah. But it is the exact same message. This is my opinion, and by no means i have to "justify myself to people like you" (whatever that means to you). Anyway, no need to take is personal as it was not intended to be one. But my honest opinion that this discussion will go no where. The recoils have been reported in the feedback thread multiple times as a no-go by ones, and as a "welldone BIS, glad you fixed those" by others. And if you think that the recoils in 1.12 is very close to RL (mind you i have fired the Russian ak74 and the ak47 AKM version meself, and i had a different impression than you) why do you think MODs that strive some realism already changed that? The change was based on persons that know a little bit more than you and me about guns, and that is not from youtube videos.
