    Hope you can find this by translating this into finish: (i'm using dutch so maybe not everything is called this in english) You have to go to the Properties of the Flashpoint shortcut, recommended is to duplicate it. Then you get the properties screen, in english there should be three tabs, on of them is called shortcut On it you should see: - The name - Targettype: Shortcut - Targetmap: Operation Flashpoint - Target: (fillable form) [example:"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE" -nosplash -mod=@SLX] The rest is not important Okay and I have a bug report but haven't checked if it's WGL or SLX bug so will place that soon. It is an WGL(+SLX) bug, the handgrenades don't explode or at least don't make any sound. And somehow my entire Island select and options screen is way to big for the screen Edit: just to late

    I just realised the hypersonic boom's where missing They're gone in SLX 1.6 (+WGL/+FFUR2006) can't hear them anymore they really added some intense atmosphere. Did you delete them or do I have to search if something is still in?

    Just finished playing for this night, I made my own mission and tested it with al the updates and with FFUR and WGL. I must say that I had the best experience, gameplay and FPS when playing this in combination with WGL5.2! Although I would love to have the SLX vehicles working in WGL as I use the BIS models, I don't get the DMA Army models working somehow. But may be my fault somewhere. Well just to say it once again! GREAT MOD this will keep me busy until I have ArmA installed

    Nice update! Really reduces the FPS drop here! Getting back about 10fps most compared to earlier ones. Playing with FFUR, will be trying WGL though, loved WGL but FFUR had al the new things I had to try but I guess that SLX+WGL will be the best experience to get with this mod

    found in the readme's: - The radio is for calling support (works with CoC artillery) - Wind affects how the aircraft are being handled Nice vid! Although the spade man give's it all an comical extra it isn't really suited

    I just read the reason of the smoke injuring me So this is fine by me, allthough I don't know for sure if the AI knows this as I've seen many of them getting wounded.

    I've found only two bugs so far playing SLX+OFP 1. Smoke out of smoke grenade causes damage. When you lie in the smoke you get damaged and when you crawl somewhere else you keep getting damaged by the smoke. but when not damaged you don't get damage from the smoke at the outside 2. I get this error so now and then: and I tried playing SLX+FFUR but couldn't bin the cpp so tried it with cpp. But after playing a little while I get graphic bugs that screw up my entire screen. Stretched particles and such I hope this is something because I just screwed things up

    what tools do you all use to binarize the cpp? i just tried cpp2bin but get this error: "Error on property enum" I do love this mod, but it sometimes gets a bit laggy in some missions, like in the SP Mission Battlefield (FPS: 4/5 with, 15/20 without), but the atmosphere created in that mission is just superb! Love all the additions you've put into OFP

    @Matthijs: My thoughts exactly and one more addition to what I allready said painkillers; i allready have a big grin on my face and it's starting to heart allready, just imaging how the big smile I'm having, when I'm the owner of my own ArmA copy, will be hearting.

    505's ArmA Special Edition - What ya want?

    As the casing or special edition outside; I would love to see something like a backpak, pouch or something else you can use for different uses. I would love to use the backpack for school and such walking around showing I'm an ArmA fan, offcourse a shirt/patch would do that but isn't usefull. Offcourse with this included: - the guide the german version does have also and I have seen only one other saying this, - the triangular thingie that came with OFP:CWC, maybe done different (on cloth) - the writeable map And people, an making of dvd is impossible at this time

    mouse3 or 4 allready works in OFP for me, but only 1 of them. Strange, but I use it for free-sight (left-alt). I guess/hope this is also available in ArmA although I don't really know if this is hardware or software related

    ArmA Progress Updates

    yeah what are you complaining about? as long as you don't end up in a server with the people who play a game for the fun of it, it isn't the of the world right? and so what this cover does look shiney and the OFP one didn't this one looks more epic to me, and hopefuly to others as well. The whole point of an design is so that the mainstream likes is, not that the minority loves it. Taste is one of those things you shouldn't be argueing about. Now let's just get on with the more important stuff, how are the first impressions of the lucky ones out there? Only a few hours untill we know right?

    the most logical explanaition in my eyes is that there are more types available In one of the earlier interviews it was mentioned that the soldiers have different camo for the different missions/locations I guess they have this for everything, but maybe it's also more like the dump of US vehicles that need paintjob

    well, if you want to continue playing with exact the same people from the exact same position, it's quite hard to do. And maybe for playabillity it is better to have the save points, so you don't start in the middle of the battle field again. because if you save while bullets are flying around your head and of the other players and the server has to save all that data, it will be a bit much i guess.

    Ok, nice, but if you are aiming through the scope, wouldn't your eye be closer, and you wouldn't see all that much around? I have not received military training, nor am I American, so perhaps this is the correct way of aiming, so you don't get hit in the eye by recoil? Just wundering.. This is a CBQ aiming technique using the reflex sight. In CBQ you need to see whats going on in the areas around you. Usually it is used clearing rooms and houses. You can get closer to the sight, I have seen it in some videos. Improves capabilities and realism. Thanks for clearing that up guys, can't wait to see how that works in game. Especially if you can use the sights like this, and then bring it completely up to the eye for that BAS M4 action. @ everyone who's planning to put their face into the texture map that was released, don't use a photo of yourself taken with a flash! 1. Go outside on a bright but cloudy day, (not direct sunlight! ) and have a friend take 4 pics of your head. Front, left, back and right. 2. Stand still, facing the sun, so that you don't have uneven shadows on your face or strong shadows. 3. Have your friend walk around you and take the photos 90 degrees X and Y. For best results, have him go as far away from you as possible and zoom in. This gives your head a more "plan-view" without the effect of perspective that a wide angle lens gives you. 4. If possible use a manual setting on the camera, so that you can fix the exposure and white balance to stay the same. This will ensure that the skin tone will have the same color, and the brigtness will remain the same as well. 5. Use the same settings for the hands and feet (!! ) This will make your work ALOT easier and more realistic. Consider this step 90% of getting a good texture. Arranging these onto the template is the easy part. If you're using photoshop, I've also found that it's quite good to arrange the photos into the layout you want (in a new layer), make the face grey scale, create a colour channel layer, and then take colour samples from your face and paint them on. I just find that the greyscale is easier to muck with. When you're doign that, though, remember that there is natural variation in the colour of your skin. Consider taking a sample on a colour layer and then, on a new layer, open the colour channels and render clouds in each colour channel. Play with the contrast on the channel to taste (until it gives you some slight variation but doesn't give your skin a rainbow paintjob). It will give you a nice, random source of colour variation and will mask any incidental flaws in your skin. I did my own face once and I had rosy cheeks when I had the photos taken. You don't want your soldier to have rosy cheeks, trust me!! If you have an dslr camera and can adjust the strength of the flash, it is beter to juse the flash. It will clear all the shadows from your face but will still give the natural face colours. That's how I did mine And believe me, the photoshopping ISN'T the easiest part

    Great JIP mission ideas

    For the sake of getting that actually done: No way this will be possible with the ArmA engine! But as lwlooz allready said, even on a Zeus or CIA server there will be people who think they are as serious, getting bored and then ruine it for others. And with the swapping teams for time zones, well this means (for example) Europeans always play daytime and Americans always nighttime (does not apply the early birds and late nighters). It is realistic (in some form) but how often do big scale assaults keep going throughout the entire night?
