To keep it about realism, you have your team mates to remember those actions. And what does a number off kills matter? Last night I took down a chopper with AA but as it was not an instand kill I did not get score frome it. Altough all my teammates saw it and complimented me on my shot. For me the entire list may get taken out or done a total other way. But then again I play co-op and no CTF or Deadmatch type of games. For a CTI I also don't think kill count is needed that much, but hey thats just me.

When I turn postprocess to 32 in the config it resets it self back to 16, I have a 6800GO (slowest off this serie I believe) and it has HDR 32bit support so I should be able to do this, can you check if you really have 32 and it does not go back to 16 For me the only thing that affects my performance is PostProcess and grass, I have grass off and PP on Low and gained 15fps, playing with 30fps. I do have Objects on Normal and Tex on Low as I do run out of memory, the rest is on highest settings and have 3K view distance at 1024*768 Intel Pentium M 740 / 1.73 GHz 1024MB DDR II SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 256MB (overclocked)

Nice allthough atm I only use the controller for Air it would be great to have the entire Elite system in it, but then the menu must also be useable and as far as I know you can only do that with extra software

He sometimes lets us out to see some sunshine j/k the guy is a one man machine, he always prettends to be ingame but you know he's busy with this mod when he stays at the insertion spot... useless slot filling -
I guess some "costum" formations will be doable, when the tools are available?

@SNK: Solus did change a lot of the particles effects for ArmA one of the changes is the higher, thicker and blacker smoke. Also he made it so that not all vehicles will explode most of the time one will only explode when shot at the engine and then destroyed Don't know for sure if you can get this too, with what is included in 6th sense mod, but he also made bullet impacts on buildings and lots of other stuff. There is even an config which allows most of the SLX effects being used in MP it is just to bad Solus does not respond to any off my latest PM's for the last month. He is adding lots more to arma but I have no idea how far the current status is Other great effect is that you can get your weapon shot out of your hands, the AI will not shoot you when unarmed but you must be quick to survive while picking up your gun again. -

some of us played FFUR and got used to the latest OFP releases which allowed you to swim in OFP And there where even scripts that allowed you to board boads... so I think william was a bit confused with what was and what wasn't doable in OFP :P -
Never seen that could you try and recreate it on the same position and after that on a different position? Maybe there are some tactical placed trampolines in the area

I have allready seen it done in ArmA (SLX beta) but the problem indeed is that you have bullet-hole-trails from shooting a moving truck or something, also nice with helicopters... look what that? is it a bird, a plane? No! a bullet hole All Solus (SLX creator) did was placing impact textures, so when you shoot at a wooden fence you will not be able to look through the hole, although it would be freaking awesome! I'm not 100% sure but I thought the 6thSense mod allready had it also, will have to check it again myself

Franks truck, reverence of it is only found in William Porters Blog, still hope to read a message where he tells they have removed the truck from the bottom of the sea/ocean and recycled it or something. On a side note, in the UK game magazine PC FORMAT there is an A2 Map of Sahrani included, on it there is a reference of an ship wreck just under the island of San Tomas, grid Ef85 (or something like that) have been searching with camera.sqs but both from the air as under the water surface there is nothing to be found in that area Added info: the Town Corazol is 3067km to the east of New York and 3180km west of Plymouth according to that map

Get a different colour for the black! Something like light blue, or some other colour that feels "peacefull" I'm not so sure about the leaves being green too, could be much nicer as a gold like colour. Also, we have the small history lesson of sahrani maybe there is something in there which could create a better icon than the island. I will try to work out my own thoughts for this, because I LOVE getting a big project around this for ArmA, continueing with the story BIS provided is way cooler and gives us way more creative space then working on excisting army's... like modding Soccer games so your own club colours are in it, it's fun but only for a selected group. Work on add-ons for ArmA as one would work on add-ons for Oblivion, stay in the set environment and given story EXPAND ArmA's Universe EDIT: I'm searching for some inspiration and background info Came across this one: SFOR It's a big group that's involved, you can see a badge they wore and the nations who where involved, could make some great base for (my vote) SAFOR, but maybe there could be a different name like INTFOR cause almost all NATO forces with only EU nations in it are renamed to EUFOR (If I read correct,COULD BE WRONG) I'm rather excitted as might have showed a bit -
Mod to place vegetation

Yeah it was a tool with a girl name, not sure if it was Sara or something else, it was designed especially for the vegetation. You could design a tree and the program was able to create different variations of that type of tree or something like that. But I'm not sure if it will ever be released to the community at least not as a free tool -
Only thing I would like to add as a big improvement in my eyes; Give us the abbility to check the briefing while assigning to slots. So that you'll know if the mission is do-able with the ammount of players and which slots are most necesarry. Maybe even add a description screen in the mission selection screen so the Admin doesn't have to change missions the entire time because no-one remembers the name of that one good mission we played last night. Hmmm, just remembered my other request; Working car mirrors or something that gives you the same effect: The ability to see what's behind you when driving.

Yeah I was thinking the same a score system, rather a bit more complicated; 0 No cover 1 Low Cover - Soft 2 Low Cover - Hard 3 High Cover - Soft 4 High Cover - Hard Low means you/AI can stay hidden behind when crouched High means you/AI can stand behind and is still hidden Maybe even add 2 types for soldiers when prone But maybe it's easier to add Soft/Hard cover stats to textures or something like that, probably saves work on all the different objects, but probably will not allow adding height stats

Came across a really big problem last night. With NVG on with the light-house at your back your view gets darkened and lightend very unrealistic, I think the NVG should never be able to get darker, lighter offcourse but darker seems strange to me. The rest, well would love to have the transitions a bit faster, feels 'slow' now.

In the second example vid an enemy was shot even though it was using the same cover system as the player, the players head was sticking out most of the time btw. But that's a bit offtopic In ArmA I would love to see the AI more interacting with buildings, today I wanted to check some good OPFOR vs BLUFOR in Ortego, But it ended up in a row of dead guys down both sides of the main road, the teams have to interact with each other more so they don't go the same way as the first eliminated team, the team they had to see dieing in the front of their feet! Their are a lot of great cover additions that could see the day-light in ArmA but I'd rather see the AI improvements first But after that I'd love to see the abbility to have your own height set when crouched AND maybe even to raise your weapon above objects, but this is something for lone-wolf gameplay. I guess someone who play's PvP online would have some more suggestions for this, I play co-op constantly and I'd rather see the AI being able to do what I allready can do instead of having more abilities added that players use but AI don't

Wow that was a really good music video, guess the story is the women love's the soldier more so the other guy dies in the beginning but after some more trying he wins here heart and the soldier dies in here heart or something as far fetched as that

Only two additions I would love to see are a working FM Radio and not as community add-on but from BIS, so we can have some in dept radio on. English-Spanish type commercials for banana's and such (community might be able, but most don't focus on fictional stuff) AND working car mirrors

nice render, but you should think of the type of terrain this thing will be able to ride on; with wheels like that and the height of the truck, I will think it is going to be rocky terrain. BUT with on side up, the truck will probably lose balance, you can solve this by lowering the truck, wich makes it less unstable but also less capable of moving over rocks. Maybe have the wheels a bit wider but going up in an angle so that if the trucks tips over the wheels still have contact with the ground, could make up some original style Ooh and how will this thing be able to take a corner? -
