  1. Is it a design choice to not make a detailed satelite map? I think it's great you've managed to recreate OFP's Everon, but back then I could take for granted that the islands had only 4 or so textures which made it repetative and dull, and the roads where way to bright to fit the island. But I think this island is allready to outdated. You guys didn't even placed roads on the Satelite map, so roads just dissapear. All in all, I think this island either should've stayed in OFP or should've gotten a bigger make-over. With that said, I still am eager to see the other islands Hope you guys don't take this as a rant or something it's just some, hopefully constructive, critism. Greets, Para

    I meant to check if it wasn't allready adjusted, if normal desktop gamma and brightness still give you too dark game then there probably is some other problem

    Isn't ECS made compatibel with Extended Event Handlers in the latest release? I expect that is what causes it. If not Solus did create a bridge for ECS maybe I'm allowed to upload it.

    If you read the first post you'll see: "The scripts for each vehicle are hopefully open ended enough to be used with any vehicle, but shouldn't be too hard to modify for most." So it is possible, but Solus only did some. Which do replace the default vehicles allready

    At least in the HMMWV (SP?) the hood/trunk is open when destroyed, in this image you can see the front being lift up just a bit and fire comming out of it: HMMWV on the left

    @Tomcat: I'm not 100% sure but IIRC you need to have it on the server and client, it doesn't have to be in the mission. @Vultar: I'm not sure if Solus still has acces to his computer or not, but he's moving houses so he won't be able to release anything soon. But the first public release of the whole mod is near! here some more shots of the vehicles:

    Great job releasing this seperate Solus! @Vultar: No where is it stated this is a beta. There are some known bugs but as Solus posted he either doesn't know how to fix them or doesn't have the time atm Also the animation of the doors is triggered by you getting out, so it's really hard to have the doors open first then have you getting out.

    You should check if you've adjusted your desktop brightness and gamma somewhere, as ingame gamma isn't working in window mode. I got a brighter game in window mode.

    Not that strange, the Biki clearly shows it to be an OFP feature. It is indeed not in ArmA profile selection. Some units get them, some don't.

    Dynamic destruction, who needs it anyway?

    Both pictures don't look that impressive to me, and IIRC VBS2 is not made to be played on public servers, with experimental add-ons and scripting. And even if the description would say it is dynamic, with the screenshots I don't see anything dynamic or what could not be achieved with a multiple-stages-destruction system. (Like we have in ArmA yet with more stages of destruction)

    Sound and Audio

    I totally agree, it's hard to have the sounds lifelike and actually quite impossible to accomplish as most people have no special audio hardware in their system. But I would really love some more bass and overall more sounds for everything, and especially environment sounds. When I walk through a forrest I want it to sound like that, when I touch a bush I want to hear it. Best would be if I would know where I'm walking just by sound, same with positioning enemy fire I would have to know immediatly where the shot came from without having to look.

    Great, but it does not really looks like too much is being calculated here, the models are low res, the effects are simplistic and the whole scenario is small scale. And even with that the system in the sample vid could almost not handle this. I think it is a good choice to let DD just stay as a future item and don't try to get it right now. As previous posts showed in the past 7years we've only gained maximum of 4Ghz more then we had back then. GPU's only got 4x the onboard memory and the same goes with RAM. I don't really see such a MAJOR improvement, everything just got a bit bigger and faster. No revolution being made so far, so why would an overal improvement of 4times the previous make it possible to go from simplistic DD in FPS to fully DD in a massive game like ArmA2? It is just not realistic, there should be made seperate cards just for the DD to make it a realistic feature for current and future games.

    I love the units, but I would really like it if they looked a bit more 'dirtier' for the female units make there hair look uncombed I don't think they should spent time worrying about there hair while fighting off enemies

    I don't have a PCI-E 2.0 motherboard atm so the Sapphire RADEON HD 3870 x2 1GB doesn't really perform any better then the Sapphire RADEON 2900xt 512MB I had Average of 30FPS Going to upgrade my motherboard and PSU soon and hope to gain any performance

    HOW can texture and model making take time away from AI tweaking for example? I would prefer a finished game over a seasoned vegetation but I think most of the stuff that would be needed for this are visual with only a small portion of code needed.

    and the biggest part of the implemention is texturing right? so that would mean that only the graphical artists get this to do aswell with how I see this it only adds a small extra code work So IF not to much of work I would love to see the seasons more represented in the game, or they should take out the option to select dates. Having autumn trees in mid-summer is just weird

    100% MUST HAVE MOD Gives such an atmosphere boost, and it's adjustable what you want to use. Which is great so it doesn't 'conflict' with other mods. Love how it gives the island such a lively feeling, every mission feels so much more immersive
