Well it's official, wonder why the forum name hasn't been changed yet ? On the subject, it makes sense now with Armed Assault, seeing as they can now continue that franchise instead of trying to keep the Flashpoint name. Though I have to say, the pictures look somewhat different compared to the "Game 2" pictures we saw a while back showcasing the (O)V-22 and Bell 512 (I think) during some desert action.

Yes, give us statistics. I hate "user-friendly"-ness with all that "easy-on-the-eye" crap...

I'm curious about this too, naturally people with the full game would probably need to install the SahraniLite island, but is it possible to make the games compatible at all ?

\\My Documents\ArmA Other Profiles\Your-Profile\face.jpg Place it as such, an option called Custom Face should appear near the top in the profile editor.

I figure you do not have ArmA yet ? Because there is no such thing as hatch viewports. You see the outside world on a tiny screen infront of you. And no, clicking the ironsight ( right mouse ) key does nothing. Basically it is not possible to navigate with closed hatches while 3rd person perspective is disabled. That's why I made this post. I can hold the + key to zoom in on the cockpit to see it a little bit bigger, but I get a cramp in my hand when doing that for more than 5 minutes lol I beg to differ. http://the-bobcat.dk/pics/stryker_view.jpg http://the-bobcat.dk/pics/stryker_view2.jpg

Germans aren't all too silly, on their forum they found out that it can run fine while in safe mode. Though this can't possibly be a long-term solution.
-
You should be able to use the hatch viewports at least by pressing your iron sight key...

I updated to the latest (3.62, was running 3.51), no change. My copy is bought boxed (through BuyArmA.com). Same error.
-
Here is the exact error along with the CRC of the files. I don't have a faulty connection, I don't have AV programs or firewalls that could interfere, my machine isn't infected with anything. It's specs are: 2.4 Ghz P4 2048 Mb Ram Radeon X800 Pro AGP Windows XP Pro SP2 with latest updates. Here's a DxDiag if anyone could make use of it: http://the-bobcat.dk/DxDiag.txt Edit: A reinstall of the game did not help.

Having the same problem, says the patch is corrupt, and I'm 100.1 % confident that it's not my computer that is the problem. My version is also the German boxed.

Let BIS make the engine, the community creates the game.

I could care less about jumping. I'd prefer a universal ability to climb/scale any obstacle (within reason).

User definable locations (xyz arrays) in models
pong2cs replied to Scrub's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
I believe it was stated somewhere that they are doing something similar, unfortunatly I can't provide a source off the top of my head. But the idea was that rather than having a billion and one weapon configurations selectable on a per-gun basis, you'd have 1 gun with a billion and one different configurations, if you get my point... -
Yes, it will work, but don't expect to crank up details completely.

Mods loadable from main menu
pong2cs replied to gandalf the white's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
It sounds nice, but if the mod-launcher was in-game, I would prefer for the mods to be loaded on the fly, and not have the game restart. If the game should need to restart, I'd rather use a pre-game launcher to select mods before going in-game. -
But parachuting from vehicles would have to be refined a bit, seeing as you are no longer capable of selecting "Eject".

The A-10 "Warthog", "Can Opener" was featured in the original OFP. Given that old campaigns will be present in Armed Assault, as will the A-10.

"If you see the Flood, it's already too late." ?
-
Joysticks might help flying in OFP, they certainly made a difference to me, it became rather easier than bulking about using the keyboard.
-
I haven't got much to say other than keep up the good work, maybe I'll try it one day. Though I must admit I don't really see the point, as most Danes who play games are usually very competent in the English language.

Oooh, me me! pong2cs, Denmark, Copenhagen.

I think he means In-game VoIP where you can speak with the lip sync. No the wav-to-lip where pong2cs is referring too, if I understand correct. Now this is something I've been interested in for years now. Just whisper in your mic when you are playing co-op, and the other player then would be able to hear you and see your lips move just like you said it for real... That's what I'm talking about too, it was there, it worked, it had area effect and all.

JATO isn't a one-time use only, RATO (Rocket), on the other hand, is.
-
It already exists in OFP, but was disabled for some reason I don't know, but I remember it used to work back in the 1.46 days... So I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to implement full-featuredly.
