Error was related to the US mirrors only which is now fixed, you'll need to log in to get a new sprocket.exe

I spoke to my colleague just this second as I have also confirmed this and they are indeed broken and to be fixed ASAP. In the meantime you should try the GB links with a multi connection download manager something like flashget, getright, IDM etc. etc. Edit: Server will be reset tomorrow so standard US links will then work fine. Edit2: Problems related to sprocket.exe should now be fixed if you log in and download the client again.

The only one who can give an update about the release date is the one who is working on the issue, do you want him wasting time making forum posts or on getting it finished and tested so it can be released? Obviously as noble an idea as this thread was clearly there are just far too many people who want only to rant and complain sadly.

No it's not, I strongly advise you uninstall AVG which is one of the worst AV's available (after Norton/Mcafee) and go with something reliable such as Kaspersky (my personal preference) or Eset AV etc.

Describe your steps? Because I just went to Account Maintenance, clicked on Arma2 download, clicked the end "here" and the individual links open fine to download, no html files etc.

I think this question has very clearly been asked and answered, Gamescom is in pretty much two and a half weeks, that will obviously be the next big Marketing/PR push for Arma3.

Well if you want to take the time to manually close all your background apps/services then you would essentially get the same boosts, but considering doing all that could take 5-10 mins and gamebooster does it in one click it's well worth paying the $0.00 it costs ;)

Considering they are valid win32 applications this almost always points to a problem somewhere with your OS installation or more likely an incomplete/corrupt download. The advice you received earlier about downloading the files manually is a good one because it helps you ensure you get the correct files downloaded properly, obviously you need OA and Arma2 to play DayZ so did you buy both from Store.bistudio.com? Sprocket is just another name for our digital distribution system, the files you need will look as below: I appreciate you're frustrated that you can't get it working but petulantly spitting and shouting at people trying to help is not the appropriate way to talk to people on these forums.
