Now that would be the ultimate thankyou ,before bis go off to commercial military simulation land . i would never ask for it ,because they have been very community spirited ,but an old saying. "you dont ask ,you dont get".

There is one major problem sgt.ace A distinct lack of feedback and information sharing to say there is no problem , it all works for me is really not enough ,could you be so kind as to show us your process ? i have tried roads on the samplemap and there is no problem until i try to use the panel of objects newroads then its not possible to create start piece and terminator piece , how are you doing it ?

theres no need to worry , it seems that porting from arma - arma2 is minimal and so far there is only one change affecting scripting and that is I think you have a fine opportunity here to use arma as a testbed (like bis ), think of arma2 as the real ofp sequal and here you have a kind of pre release tool for viewing your work . the glass is definately half full.

take the config.bin from sara unrap it with kegs tool. change the values in the config under <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">class clutter { class GrassGeneral : DefaultClutter { where you see grass model there is two values minimum and max. default is <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">scaleMin = 0.75; scaleMax = 1.0; for main grass . change them all to lower values and find what is good for you. very low for me is <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">scaleMin = 0.15; scaleMax = .25; change only grass models and place config in mysara and repbo. size of addon = 50.5 kb place in custom@\addons folder and bingo works for me have fun.

are you positive the png that you are importing is exactly ^2 ,sometimes this happens if it is not and also when you select size .i.e new 256x256 this mus also be in tune with sixe of png , you must remember this is total size for land and sea not just land mass tried all them with your examples , looks like it might be what opteryx is suggesting.

It does like i said before ,the reason for wanting the id changer is given and the provider of the key suggests that the key changer will provide a means to return and crash a server again, thus by passing any means provided by Bis to stop the user crashing his server. Thas because you are not privvy to all the facts, nor are you likely to be. you think that real evidence would be posted here ? what case would they have if they posted ,dev changelogs ,archived readmes , links to proof etc etc.. you asked how it is illegal , you have been answered. to ask for proof that they are linked is moot, because i dont believe you or i will ever see it unless we are in a court watching this case (if one ever comes to court). THE END for my input on this ;0 good luck to all server owners we players are all behind you.

Sorry but you dont seem to be party to all the facts . if that exe was sitting in the street and i picked it up then used it , then your post is perfectly true . but if that exe is sitting in a shop window with a massive board nest to it saying "have you been banned ?" , try this it will get you back into the server . again this thread is here to produce that proof , the connection and endorsement is already there for all to see, the difficult part is to prove the server crash and gather the ip dress under different ids .

But they are responsible for the id changer that allows people that have been banned for crashing servers to return andcrash servers again and again

@chaos I fully undertsand the line you take and why, but you are now ignoring the progression of this thread and quoting from the beggining , i think its now safe to say that people here are not saying :- its ilegal to run a pbo that contains cheat scripts its ilegal to use these scripts to crash an arma.exe ( but constantly ?) its ilegal to misrepresent a gamer tag (could be in extremes) What they are saying on the other hand is :- It is illegal to deliberatly endorse and encourage people to spam a server and crash it. now i dont know if this is the law or maybe they simply say , because the arma exe when crashing actually crashes the server ,it aint illegal , its the fault of the exe . N.B by server i do not mean the arma.exe what we need from you chaos is proof that your own belief that the resulting actions of #fc has not crashed a server and that #fc do not provide the means by programme.exe or by text information on a website for people to be in a postiion to constantly ,cost hosters money by spamming them and when banned for doing so ,providing the means in which they may return to do it again. what this thread is trying to do, is provide proof that they are what you are trying (or rather seemingly trying to do) is misrepresent the purpose of some people in the thread by telling them constantly that they have not got a clue or a hope.

Like i said before to your assertion that a xam pbo is the same as an external exe .Bis have given servers the power to ban a person who has deliveratly crashed there arma.exe on there server and as a result may due to constant crashing ,crashed the server as a whole . The fact that these people are instructed how to and encouraged to do so again and again by means of an external programme exe that will aloow them to change there id , has no link whatsoever to an addon pbo wether its a custom unit or a pbo of scripts for cheating. this was my point the exe that was made by # f c and the new one that is bragged about is where the ilegality takes place , as for the pbo with a random prefix ,well thats like you say not ilegal at all.

its a beautiful small island , but its a pity he has not left the pew and everything in there would have made a nice example map for begginers. alas tho dosent help for me its only a 10km map with a 3km landmass , mine are nearer 400km square lol. i better hope some bin tool can compress the hell out of them. @fasad we cant place bis roads but old dirty roads are ok in afghanisan

complete and utter tosh . this isnt about the arma .exe , because it is not the arma .exe that creates 10 digit ids in order for the once banned "for cheating" kiddies to return to servers. Its not true either that the constant crashing of the arma .exe during the endorsed 10 day spam fest in august did not crash whole servers .

I would release one tommorrow no problem ,i have a stable iraq ,afghanistan and half finished europe including uk map. there is one problem, the smallest size of the islands which is afghanistan is 500 megabytes lol. so until i find a way to reduce it wont be just yet .

you can fake it using aniamtions and interupting them with alert status variable. its cheap but works ok, i have tried it. -
lol from bad to worse there opteryx. For a test did you try 10 meter grid size like sahrani and make texture layers 40x40 ? PNG Height map = 2048 px SatMap/Mask_LCO = 20480 px that can still remain same so no big hassle to test huh ? i am not sure how you come to the conclusion your heightmap has cells of 15 meters ? my xyz for example is for ofp and i made for wrp which used 50 meter cells so when i configure in v3 to 50 meter cells all is well. also are you not getting any errors in arma .rpt suchas unkown shader or whichever it is for island cells with no texture ?

Looked at this myself when wanting an odd size Terrain Cell . texture layers (in sample map = 40x40) i don`t see any refference anywhere to this and landgrid size but i assume that in the sample map each pixel is 2meters and the terrain cell size is 20 meters ,thus giving a 40x40 texture layer. i don`t see an option for such custom sizes as 15.0 terrain cells ? 15.0 with 20480 = 1.50 meters per pixel which would need a texture layer setting of 1.50 x 15 = 22.5x22.5 the nearest setting is 15.0x15.0m or 30x30m (when i apply opteryx settings in a v3 map) at least i see it that way through my v3 glasses . probably wrong but at least someone can point where i am going wrong here . ? Edit btw i am talking about where it says above 40x40 active. if you click this edit it gives you options (varied depending on map size ). i also notice in the new config there is no Gris size = 40 ( or 50 for ofp).

strange there is no mention of such "rules when people brag like this on there webshite Looks like you got them thinking , the site owner has already wrote a nice piece on how he does not use cheats disclaimer .keep it up looks like they starting to actually have to think which for these kind of people usually singifies the start of the end.

Thanks for that , simply reading the review gives you a feeling of the good old OFP experience ,something sadly lacking with arma (arma 2 seems to give an ofp setting ut poor pr so far to make a judgement). If and its a big IF this turns out to be what the review is saying ,then we gamers are gonna have one hell of a win win situation with codies and bis fighting for our money:) Good luck to Bis and Codies may you both earn your investment back and a little spare for the wife and may we as gamers once more get that good old Flashpoint feeling. -
thats the blue edge that is not applied when saving the EMF ? I thought we didnt need that if we havent converted emf to png and then imported that as a world .png throught the .pbl process ? or does the emf come into play wheb we are creating mask and satellites ? wiki explanation. But if we save as pbl way the blue edge will be included and we dont needed it lol . i see your problem but i think it only applies if you are not creating your own satellites and mask but using visitor do do everything from import an .xyz through to wrp. i hope so anyway cause i never cropped any blue edge and all mine are stable and everything is where it should be.
