  1. Hi, Many of us use hardware calibrated colours on our monitors, but ArmA is one of the few games that does not support custom colours once the game is launched. The game reverts back to the standard default colour profile once I start it. Would be possible for custom colour profiles to be enabled in the game in the next patch? Thank you. edit: I am also not interested in replies similar to "calibrated colours are niche", "nobody uses calibrated colours", "you'll get used to playing with default colours" etc. Similar arguments were made years ago about widescreen resolutions. ;)
  2. there is beta of 8.9 drivers floating on net try them (both Vista and XP) Yeah, there are the 8.54betas, but I think I'm gonna wait for the official ones. Any day now... these are newer, they leaked last week Driver Packaging Version 8.53-080820a-068930C-ATI Catalyst® Version 08.9 8.54 Drivers are newer. What you posted is 8.53. Also, I have to disable Cat AI for ArmA to work properly. If it's enabled, I would be inconsistent walking/driving speeds.

  4. So BI still hasn't made any official posts regarding ArmA and the 4870x2... Any idea when it will be fixed? I know the drivers are still very immature with the 4870x2, and I'm hoping future drivers will fix the performance issues, but something from BI would also be great.

Kind of disappointed with a 4870x2

    Rosski, tried the 8.9 betas?
  6. BI needs to release a patch that utilizes dual GPU's better.
  7. Those are what I am on.
  8. They all do nothing. The problem were the shadows, even when they're at Med or High, game massively slows down to 2-3 FPS. And what's with the performance? Even with a top high end 4870x2, I average around 20fps at 2560x1600. Although the drivers are a bit immature, I didn't know ArmA was coded THIS badly.
  9. I recently got a 4870x2, an was quite eager to try ArmA on it. But I don't think ArmA and dual-GPU cards play well. I get massive slowdowns when looking up or down, the FPS drops into 1 (one!. Definitely a game issue. Will this be fixed? Oh, and before you say, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, drivers, etc etc. All my other games work fantastically, but ArmA runs like it's being played on a 486. No joke. Anyone else ran across this problem?

    Patch 1.14 Troubleshooting

So I ask again... Whenever I fire FFAR in helicopters, the smoke trail ends just a few feet away from my copter. The trailer suddenly "stops" while the rockets themselves continue to zero on their target, without any smoke trailing behind them. Anyone else notice this? Happens with both BLUFOR and OPFOR units.

    Patch 1.14 Troubleshooting

This may have been asked already, but; Has anyone noticed the smoke trail ends prematurely when firing FFAR's in helicopters? I tried it with BLUFOR and OPFOR copters, same thing happens.
  12. ECS Staff, please read! http://www.ecsteam.online.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?id=76
  13. PROBLEM: Whenever I have ECS enabled, and the enemy uses AK's far away, I get these distorted "popping" sounds. Is this a common bug for ECS? This happens with both lite and HD version of ECS. I have tried playing games without ECS, and the problem goes away. I have tried installing beta audio drivers for my soundcard too. Sondigo Inferno.
