sweet. also, IRL, infantryman don't run around in combat with a rucksack on. Â you get exhausted in a few minutes doing 3 to 5 second rushes without one, much less with 65 lbs on your back. and is this update going to be a patch, or another full download. just curious

to be honest, the only reason i dont use FFUR at all is because of the new menu screen, the annoying thing that pops up, and the discolored mission editor that shows every tree as a rock. Â the pack is pretty nice, but why mess with perfection... also, there needs to be an option for those who dont want the whole FFUR lighting effects. some like them, some dont. make the regular infantry units say 25th ID, tropical lightning, and the mechanized 3rdID. to be honest it would make a lot more sense to make the units on those bum ass islands national guard. afterall, it was a peacekeeping mission, so why not.

I never said anything about changing anything other than what 'class' or whatever they are called. everyone is basically under 'man' if i'm not mistaken. put infantry under infantry, mech infantry under that (mech infantry uses m16A4, NOT m4) that'd be the only difference, and would require little config editing. also, SF, etc. Just a friendly suggestion so there could be a clear distinction between units that are vastly different in real life

new classes would be nice... Infantry, SF, etc

those look amazing. keep up the good work!

is there a way i can see these things in the WRP tool? they appear, but i cant tell exactly how they really look, as i can with others.
-
cool, i was just wondering why someone would do that. i meant on the m16, not the m4. the m16 has a fixed stock and its kinda weird having it way up there. you know what i mean?
-
looks odd, but thats what we use.
-
if not, my apologies. here's how i use it: picture taken off
-
Jackal, that last picture of the m16a4 m203 is just jacked up. no one ever puts a m68 past T12 that i've ever seen, (T12 is the farthest rail before you get to where the iron sights would normally end) also, no one puts their unit patch or an american flag on their ammo pouch. no infantry wear that crap either... if you put the patch on there, at least make it the size of the patch on the units arms, ie, they don't make random little patches
-
damn people, no one in the military uses that high-speed shit if you are normal light infantry. ie, here's a picture of, you guessed it... ME.
-
too bad that guys at BI didn't bother to put SAW pouches on that guys IBA, instead of too-low M16 pouches...
-
it's mainly just eye candy, the grass

Look how much they said about flashpoints infantry, & look what we have. I love flashpoint, but be realistic, I'm guessing (GUESSING, non-educated, i might add) that despite what is said, the AI in armed assault really isn't going to be much different than that in flashpoint.
-
You guys are too nit-picky. In real life you don't have time to adjust your iron sights. They are zeroed, yes, you are correct, at 300M. That's the farthest US Army infantry are trained to shoot at. The bullet doesn't drop enough to need to change the iron sights with anything between 1-300M. Anything further than that is just a waste of ammo. That's what precision (yes, it's called that in the army) weapons such as the m240B are for, to reach out & touch.
-
exactly, all & all it's basically the same weapon. the m4 is doing the job, why get something else? i've seen the xm8 a few times at fort benning, i wouldn't dare put it in game because you won't see it in the infantry, much less fielded in the army for many years to come.
-
they dont use maps in iraq, they use satellite images ALWAYS.
-
i also agree about the m4. Â i'm an infantryman in the us army, and in just about every single light infantry unit, the m4 is standard issue, NOT the m16a4. Â if you are mechanized infantry, you get the a4. in OSUT, (basic + infantry AIT) they even issue an aimpoint sight literally the day you qualifty with iron-sights. a variety of sights would be nice, but i'm not expecting much from BIS. i'm just hoping it won't lag.
-
would you like some reference pictures of ACUs... nice job, but the shoulder pocket is way too little, etc.
-
i cant tell much from the pictures, but in iraq they don't normally wear their collars velcroed, they are up but folded aside in the very front. the goggles always have the dustcovers on when not being worn, and they dont have a chest rig 90% of the time. the gear straps directly onto their IBA (body armor) with molle mounts. also, to whoever made it, maybe not you, the straps on the mich helmets are too light, they are solid, soft black cloth on the large, OD green on the medium, and a rough small OD strap on the XL.

yeah, what do you think mods are, like FFUR, they are everyone elses work that someone else gets credit for.
-
those guys arent just force recon, in war not only marines fight with marines, & not only army fight with army, joint task forces are assigned to different branches to carry out certain functions.
-
don't change the color, it looks like grass is supposed to, GREEN! a flashpoint first as far as thorns, one tends to not notice things like that in action, seeing as there are bullets cracking in the air above you, as well as your & your mens lives on the line.
