amazing how much info you have about this  always like to look at tech specs and things ... had a laugh when i saw this bit -- " There is an upward spring preload on the seat at all times. The seat must be occupied  whenever  it  is  adjusted.  If the  seat  vertical  adjust  handle  is pulled  when  the  seat  is  unoccupied, the seat will snap to the full-up position. This could cause severe injury to personnel. If injury occurs, seek medical aid."     no ? really ?

I was wondering abt the very same thing. It sounds like the proxy ? the dead state is obv working ? are they custom proxy or BIS ? if they are BIS then maybe the definition in the .cfg is wrong .

Love the birdy icemotoboy @ Commando84 easy to script some supplies to appear after landing so the c-130 can do another round trip ... more reason to have a good pilot flying stuff in fat albert jato ?

whats the texture resolution and how many do you use ? whats the poly count ? whats your release strategy ? as a pack or as weapon types ?

from the translation it sounds like alpha ordering or Z buffer . Try this .. select all the faces with the glass texture and Ctrl -C copy them ... now delete the faces and paste them back in Ctrl -V now the correct order should be applied . hope this works for you . -

I have a feeling that this guy didnt actually kill all those people himself and probably had help . Example .. i say "hey lets go trash that car " .. and you all say " yeah cool idea .. lets do it " .. so of you go to trash the car while i watch from the other side of the street . In my mind the ones who commit the actions are more guilty than the one who suggests it , we all have a free will . 3.5 years is plenty of time to say .. wait .. i think this is wrong. Soldiers have a duty to humanity to refuse to carry out orders they believe to be wrong...Ehren Watada for example , but on the other boot most miliatary enforce the rule that refusal to carry out orders can result in court martial .. catch 22 But if the orders fit with your ideals then you will carry them out willingly .

Strange my Arma settings are not set at 1440 x 900 but the buldozer is  Also wasnt sure the texture quality settings are, had a search but couldnt find them.... I Also have a problem with finding the texture for the dshkm_co.tga It doesnt seem to exist. http://c.imagehost.org/0425/t72.png Looks a whole lot better now about the viewer i have a similar problem , i ended up having to use it windowed and resize it manualy

That sun is godlike  hehe jk cool looking tank  your viewer is not sized correctly , everything looks squished down.. guessing you use a widescreen monitor ? you need to set the ratio 4:1 wide or whatever it is in Arma , this should alter bulldozer window too look at your bulldozer settings , you can resize the window there also i think  arma tools / bulldozer / profiles untill you find the .cfg TexQuality=2;  is another thing you might want to try for sharper textures .. think this adjusts the mipmap set to 2 i see textures pretty much exactly as i do in photoshop

Sig that snow crawler looks way high poly (jk) My dad was with a team building a BAS arctic research centre this year .. that was pretty cold by accounts got lots of shots of the building work and site if they might be of use .. oh and penguins .. lots of them

Looks fantastic   *edit* looking back over the thread.. the accessable roofs ... do laders work sideways too ? might look ugly i dunno .. guess you wanted a more dynamic action ..like just runing from one roof to another .

i didnt see a reference thread .. very nice little maps .. more like sketch ideas for maps and towns..real layouts of real areas in South Africa pretty sure there would be more about for anyone interested in looking saexplorer maps found a nice reference site ? .. share it here

the area in red apears to have 4 sides , the model you showed has a 3 sided face make any sense ?

just an obervation from those pix you supplied .. from what i can see and ofc i am no expert by any means .. look at where the disk shape meets the square object protruding .. on your example the protrusion is flush with the disk and in the pics of the real one it has a bevel on the back edge too and rises above the top surface of the disk , also the top surface of the square protrusion is slightly larger *edit* this is all just from looking at the few pics you supplied , maybe i'm wrong one other little thing that would solve the last point i made bring the flat area across to the next section .. it will make that front bevel a steeper angle and increase the top area

Shadow lod requires.... Closed shapes  .. use - check structure/find non-closed Triangulated   .. hit / or \ Squarised     ..hit U now remove textures for the part in shadow lod ( not sure if its essential but seems to be the normal way to do it) other optionns are hit W to reverse faces .. this can solve some problems with shadow try and stay below 4k faces for shadow seems i was a bit out with my info .. Sgt.Ace has posted a link to the correct method in the modeling thread
