Thank's for the mirrors.

Since OFPECs addon depot is still down, the link to GB's editor addon does not work. Here's a working link to Kegetys editor addon. It should do the trick: ftp://ftp.gamepark.cz:8021/ofpd/unofaddons/KegetysEditorAddon10.zip

@batdog It was released for BETA testing. I cleaned it up and corrected all the bugs discovered by the BETA testers that had to do with playability. The story is pretty much the same though. And the WIP voices are the same (unfortunately) @jens Never heard of the problem and I've never had any problem crossing the bridge (except for AI sometimes crashing their truck, but that's OFP in a nutshell). Try codarl's solution and see if it works

I'm travelling and only able to connect to the web from my laptop. Hence, no mirroring oportunities for me If anyone wants to host the mission - feel free to do so

African Jazz version 1.0 - A NomineSine Mission Download fromRapidshare Note: To download from Rapidshare, click the link, scroll to the bottom of the page and select free download. It might take several seconds before the download starts. African Jazz is a death match as well as a cooperative mission for two sides. The west side, represented by US Army [uSA], have one set of objectives that needs to be completed. East side, represented by the Tonali Rebel Forces [TRF], have their own objectives. Eventually their paths will cross. The MP Mission can be played by a total of 2-16 players. Optimal is 1-3 players on the west side and 1-2 players on the east side. SUMMARY OF THE PLOT [MISSION BRIEFING FOR USA AND TRF] From the OFP briefing page... USA Objectives, 4th of July 2003, 11.30 Local time Your mission is to patrol the roads east of the US Air Base. Your convoy must proceed through Kimoe, Kimbe, Shanty Town and Ixtlan, before returning to base. One of our vehicle patrols reported an engine malfunction while travellng the same route earlier this morning. They are now landlocked in the desert and we don't have radio contact with them. You must find them, assist them and repair their car during your patrol. They are believed to be in Kimbe, Shanty Town, the abandoned factory or on the main square in Ixtlan. The second truck in your column carries power tools. These tools must be delivered to the vehicle depot, south of the air port. Get them there ASAP. Your main objective is to keep an eye out for armed insurgents. Shots have been reported from all major towns and villages. -Eliminate all armed hostile forces. -Destroy any military vehicles you encounter. A large force of armed rebels was reported crossing the bridge from Balimo this morning. They are your prime target. Take your team to the main hangars when your patrol is finished to end the mission. Be adviced not to open fire on any civilians. The situation is tense, with rock throwing mobs, but any civilian casaulty may result in an open riot. Make sure you target only armed hostiles. The reinforced Hummer will keep you protected from rocks. TRF Objectives, 4th of July 2003, 11.30 Local time The american infidels are operating from heavily armed truck convoys. It is the will of God that these vehicle patrols are destroyed. Three armoured cars were sent from the US Air Base this morning. Our spies informs us that they will proceed through Kimoe, Kimbe, Shanty Town and Ixtlan, before they return to base. Destroy them and kill the crew. Two of our brothers have aquired heavy weapons that can take out the american force. They will be waiting for you in Ixtlan or the abandoned factory in the desert with RPG:s and explosives. Find them ASAP. There are two telephone stations here and here, that you may use to contact the team. Get to the phone and dial: - 006 to Ixtlan - 007 to the factory ... to find out where our brothers are waiting. I want to keep on playing, not die!
nominesine replied to zootso's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
After four years of MP-gaming I feel a little bit silly asking this question: Does Respawn 5 (side respawn) really work? I've never seen it, as far as I can remember. -
There's gossip and rumoursall over Nogova: "Ofpec is back!" That's what people say. This is an official Ofpec mission that will clear out any remaining doubts. Is Ofpec back on line again or not? Play the mission and find out. <span style='color:brown'><span style='font-size:19pt;line-height:100%'>DOWNLOAD:</span> </span> http://rapidshare.de/files/21163266/OFPEC.zip.html Addons: none OFP version: 1.96 Mission design: nominesine NOTICE: To download from Rapidshare, follow the link, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Free download.

Try this. From Avon Lady's FAQ:

A persistent rumour in this very forum claims that OFPEC will be back on line on May 26 2006. That's tomorrow
-
To those who found the mission to be too difficult? I don't blame you, armed with only a pistol. Here's a document with a few hints. Warning: Includes a few spoilers.
-
It reminds me of the fact that Ofpec has been off line for four months now
-
Now, just out of curiosity, how can this mission possibly remind you Deerhunder  That would explain why my boss behaves so aggressive towards me. Is my voice really that terrible?  I don't remember that one. But I do seem to recall that they used an alias called "The Leak" when they released the current version of ECP. But that was just some marketing scam as far as I remember. Surely the Ofpec guys wouldn't lower themselves to that level, using my nick as a clever alias *sigh* I'm not evil, I'm just misunderstood  Did you play the mission, or did you just provide a mirror for it?   Thank's for the mirror by the way. I appreciate it I usually refer to them as ©rapidshare   Remember to say "Thank you!" to Imutep.

Well, as long as the message gets through to everyone I'm pleased with the result. It's my attemt at a private Da Vinci-code Å• la Dan Brown

So ArmA got a bad review in a german magazine?!? Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Personally I happen to agree with most of her observations. ArmA is nothing but a beefed up OFP, but since that is what I always wanted it to be I'm happy about it. I don't consider the review to be pseudo-journalism. It's just journalism. I don't agree with the opinions of the journalist in question, but she has written the article in a way that makes it possible (and simple) to sort her personal opinions (there's a lot of them) from undisputable facts (quite few). She's entitled to her opinion, and I don't share it. But I believe that a bad review is healthy, once in a while. Critisism serves a purpose, even if it comes from someone who is not as familiar with the OFP game engine as the majority of visitors to this forum. Let's pretend that all (pre)reviews of ArmA turned out to be a full 10 out of 10. Would that serve any purpose? I would say 'probably not' - because then BIS wouldn't ever change anything. The purpose of a preview is to get attention and feed back. If the feed back points out mistakes, then there's a chance to correct them. I believe that the disputed article reflects the views of someone who liked OFP in 2002, but never turn into a fanatic OFP-player, pretty well. It's still the same old game with a few improvements. To me, these improvements mean a lot. To others they are purely cosmetics. If ArmA is going to be a comercial sucess, it has to satisfy causual players as well as hard core gamers. And if ArmA is not a comercial sucess?!? Well, then we can just kiss our favourite game good bye. And we wouldn't want that, right?

Thank's for your interest. I'm flattered These missions were designed for my LAN-group, and I released them for the Swedish speaking part of the community while I wait for ArmA. If the SFP crew ports their Swedish Forces Pack to ArmA, however, then I will make an english version. It's unlikely that I will have the time to do a translation now. I'm starting to lose interest in the current OFP-game engine. Hence my motivation to complete projects is low at the moment. Â

Operation Skövde is a MP mission pack for 2-6 players. IMPORTANT NOTICE: all the missions are in swedish only. Addons: SFP 4.1.2 and FDF 1.4 OFP Version: 1.96 <span style='color:Red'>DOWNLOAD:</span> http://rapidshare.de/files/20272181/Op_Skovde1-3.rar.html A total of five missions set in Skärgĺrden makes up a small roleplaying style MP-campaign for Operation Flashpoing. This pack contains the first three missions. All missions have the following features: * Optional intro (toggle on off in the OFP MP setup screen) * Illutrated briefings with sound effects * A story line * Voice acting * Custom SFX * Random enemy strength and placement for replayability * Several easter eggs for those who likes to wander around the map looking at stuff (remember, though, that curiosity killed the cat) All the missions are in the Swedish language and there are no subtitles or translations. I released them mainly for the benefit of the Swedish speaking part of the OFP community. If you speak Swedish - enjoy them. Else... well, there's not much you can do about it, is it Â

I believe you want skipTime, a command that makes the clock skip a few hours, right? It workd like this: skipTime 2 Put it in a trigger or a script. It will skip two hours of clock time, without affecting units etc. Mandobles example is a good way to use it.

I made some experiments yesterday. Only solution I found: Shoot the loon when he's at the top of the ladder. That will make him fall down. But it doesn't relly solve your problem, right?
-
As far as I can remember there is no way to make the unit climb down again. I asked the same question in an Ofpec-thread two years ago, and when the site went down this spring, the thread was still unsolved  In the real world, what gows up will eventually come down. Not in OFP though  EDIT: I just checked again... There weren't many answers in the thread. This is the entire discussion (salvaged from Ofpec) I just realized that Sui's answer might be a solution, though. Have you tried to give the unit a secon LADDERUP command while it's on top of the ladder. If I read Sui correctly, he says it should then climb down again in this old post (either that or he misunderstood the question )
-
I also remember that article, that's why I'm curious. I've always thought about setDamage 4 as an urban legend within the OFP community. Until someone corrects me I'll regard the whole setDamage 4-thing as a rumour.
-
I'm curious: Why setDamage 4? Is there any difference between setDamage 1 and setDamage 4?? If so: What's the difference???

Groups/Single Units and CPU usage
nominesine replied to Pathy's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
10 individual units = 10 groups 10 grouped individuals = 1 group The server will have to work a lot harder if you use the first example. Few, but large, groups works best in my experience.
