Have the latest reshade installed and just got and installed the pascal paid RTGI......but how do I get it all working? 1)First is there a particular preset (.ini) I need to use to get it working - if yes a link is appreciated..... 2)I read on reshade that I need to enable depth buffer access to get the RTGI working - but what does this mean and what do I need to do?(running a 2080ti) 3)note in my reshade in game menu there is an add on drop down with generic depth and it says I need to disable MSAA in game to get depth buffer working (but there is no MSAA in ARMA3 options!) - is this all connected to point2) and how do I get it all working?

thanks for the replies 1)just wondering if you consider the above guide a good and relevant one - seems I need to learn how to a)setup buffers b)setup the shaders including RTGI? 2)are there any profiles you can use/or at least use as a starting point to get everything setup - or does it all need to be adjusted manually and depend on the individual PC? (seems a lot to tweak particularly if you have limited tech knowledge?) - note only really using it for ARMA3 3)As per your message above - assume I can just delete all the other reshade .ini profiles I have installed for ARMA3 - as I really need to setup new ones with the relevant shaders installed?

thanks for the reply(will check the video) - so if I try to load up an .ini profile with pascals shaders enabled what will happen? (assume what you are saying is that I don't need any custom .ini loaded to get the RTGI effect working? - actually the only thing that came with pascals was 2 folders that you need to copy into the reshade "reshade-shaders" in my ARAM3 directory - does this sound correct? what exactly am I looking for on the reshade home tab and assume the "depth" function appearing on my reshade "add-ons" drop down does not need to be changed and I can just ignore? 3)there is definitely some kind of warning appearing in the add ons drop down - referring to disabling MSAA to get depth to work?

Have a few of the NIA packs installed via steam workshop - such as NIA core, 416 and M60........ 1)Noticed there is also an NIA all in one pack? (can I just install this one file and remove everything else) or do I need to install everything to get all the weapons? 2)I also noticed something does not sound right with these weapon (they all appear very muffled - almost as if there is always a silencer fitted) - just wondering how I can fix this (have I missed a file that I need?) - note also using the JSRS sound mod so not sure if there is a conflict -
Just been trying the development build and started getting some kind of black msdos type debug screen half way through many of my SP missions! - not entirely sure what its telling me but it seems like some kind of code appearing on a blank screen right in the centre of the screen..... can someone explain what this is for and how can I disable it? (its ruining the mission by obscuring the view....)

thanks for the reply - so really if its annoying me and I have not enabled it in the launcher then the only way to disable is to go back to the non development version of ARMA3? (this is a shame as the development branch on my 2080ti is giving me much better performance than on the vanilla version!)

beno thanks for the reply...…………………. interestingly my startup parameters are completely blank and there is no "-showScriptErrors" showing in the launch options - so to disable them assume I just add "-noScriptErrors" ? to the launch options or do I need to do something else? - note these are missions created in the workshop so just want to try them not interested to see any of the errors they generate....

manage to get the mod working (playing some scenarios/1p missions) - but some of the settings need tweaking - can someone explain exactly where and how I can tweak the settings for these 1p missions? - any help appreciated............ UPDATE: have read this mod is not working with a few other mods like ACE 3? - can someone confirm if this is the case (only trying to tweak it as it seems not be working properly - note running it with CBA, Bloodlust, HUD and ACE3..........................)- 73 replies

Just started using ACE3 (via steam) and got some noobie questions............. 1)Started getting a rather strange white tunnel vision effect assume its ment to simulate maybe injury or fatigue - just wondering how I can disable or what I need to apply to fix it? 2)At the start of each game I get an error message saying I need the required compatability patches ACE3/RHS - also have 3 or 4 RHS mods installed - can anyone supply a link to the "official" patch?if i search steam i get loads of unofficial ones........ 3)Might be my lack of time with the mod - but in some missions I seem to lose my interface for managing my team (this means my direct team mates and also wider units such as other squads and Heol support which I would normally summon with Ctrl+Space................................is this a bit or is a new system to replace it?.....any help appreciated -

Just installed ACE3 and I read it implements PiP scopes so just wondering how you enable them and what scopes it works with? (note alread have my PiP set to ultra but note ther now also seems to be a 1200m option?) -

wsx thanks for the reply 1)So just to be clear for the RHS PiP scopes you don't need to find/select one with the 3D or PiP prefix next to it?(note I am using MCC arsenal function) reason I ask is some of the stuff I read seems to say you need to select the ones with a 3D prefix or need to select it from a M150 crate? - see link below (although note is was from a couple of years back) - also the image quality (in scope) he is getting in the youtube clip is much better than what I can see on my one.........................(note I already selected PiP from the RHS main menu) 2)I now have ACE3 installed (via steam) - so how do I enable PiP scopes? and how do I select one of these scopes in game - or is it simply a case of selecting the RCO or ARCO vanilla scopes with ACE3 running and they will have some kind of PiP effect automatically?- 16574 replies

1)just discovered that RHS comes with some PiP scopes - however struggling to get them working.........................main problem is when I try and select them (understand only the M150RCO and M145 MGO have PiP implemented?) - I get a horribly blocky/pixelated picture (note have already set the PiP setting to either Ultra or 1200m(seems to be a new setting)) - however this only improves the situaltion slightly so still getting pixelated image - note am selected PiP from the main RHS menu and when I set the scope as 3D from this menu getting a very nice sharp picture then flip back to PiP and get blurry picture - just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if I need to change another setting to get them working better? (note I also read that the PiP scopes should either have a PiP or 3d prefix after them - but none of my RHS scopes have any such prefix - any help appreciated? 2)Read also that ACE3 has PiP scopes implemented - can anyone give guideance on what how to select it what scopes this works with so I can give it as try.............?- 16574 replies

solano thanks for the reply! think I want to give real light v7 (64 bit) - a try then............. 1)from your reply if - I am following - think I should not install reshade at all - simply install the v7 into my root arma3 folder? (that's it) ? 2)assume when you install the v7 it will auto load your standard pre-set (whats this called?)when you start ARMA3 unless you disable it in game? 3)to change from your default LUT preset - it seems you have a few others such as rich - which you need to do activate before you enter the game? 4)If I ever decide to try reshade 3.1.1 assume I need to uninstall real light? what is best way to do this(which files need removed?) 5)this sounds bizarre - but can see your on/off key for real light is scroll lock - can't seem to find that key on my keyboard (note am using a wireless Logitech......) but all I can find is a number lock? -

using RESHADE 3.1.1 for DCS and also XP11 but never for ARMA3 - interested to give reshade and real lightv7 a try for ARMA3 (64 bit) so got some noob questions.......... 1)First question what does combining reshade with realight give you over just using reshade 3.1.1? 2)How do you install the latest version of reshade 3.1.1 with real light 7? (64bit) - having used the latest reshade there is almost like an autoinstall feature (or do you have to use an older version of reshade so you can strip out the right files) - also is there any kind of video showing how to install these 2 together? (have seen a few but it shows older version of reshade + real light and seemed to be 32 bit version)... 3)How do these LUT profiles work for real light - assume its similar to the presets for reshades you can swap over in game - but it seems you need to change some code rather than just swap over ingame? 4)Assume this LUT setup can't be swapped in game like the stock reshade - you just need to configure before you load the game - how can you enable disable reallight/reshade ingame? Any help appreciated................... -
slatts - was and still is one of my favourite weapon mods! yes it seems to work - but I had a loadout saved in the MCC arsenal that becomes selectable when I load up the mod - so I use it that way - but bizarrely when the load out is loaded it shows the weapon as a mk20 (official bohemia weapon) - nothing to do with the M27 - but your soldier is still holding a m27 - haven't been able to get the 416 working as didn't have a saved loadout............would be good if you could update it so everything works : )

ski thanks for the reply - yes I seem to have a keybind already setup for magnifier up and down - it is attached to the MRT add on drop down (eventhough the mod is not installed! standalone MRT appears!!!!!) - but when I press it the magnifier is stuck to down (will not flip up when u press ctrl and /...) the point of the post is not find out what road runner means when he says.............."Remove the MRT functions addon" - does he mean the default key bindings in the in game key map for MRT need to be deleted? then it will work! update: seems you need to unbind the keys that are bound in game to MRT - then the magnifier will work as the magnifier is already bound in the cba drop down in game! -

(note through steam workshop I have cba and SMA installed that's all - I notice in the controls section of options in game there also seems to be a key bindings for MRT - although I do not have the MRT add on installed (from workshop or standalone) - so how do I get the magnifiers to work? -

road runner - having exactly the same problem with the scopes - and do not have the MRT app installed separately just SMA and CBA through steam workshop.... so to assists noobs can you explain how exactly and where exactly do you remove the MRT function addon? (note I am seeing no reference to MRT in any of my mod screens (not surprising as I never installed it!)).....any help appreciated? -

thanks for the reply st.jimmy - however the person giving the advice was the PC salesman so he couldn't run the bench himself - however he did direct me to the below bench not for games but for other applications - which the 5820 did ok for...... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1549?vs=1320 however from what I am reading the 6700 is on balance a little better in games "on average" than the 4790 and 5820 if its using fast ddr4 memory - although have not seen any benches tests particularly testing ARMA3 - although he also pointed out that my current intended 6700 build would use all available 6700 pci (e) slots 20 I think which he didn't think was a good idea?(note the build has a m2 ssd and sli so there is not even room for a standalone sound card - although the asus hero motherboard seems to have an on board sound.... -

little off topic - but someone has suggested a 5820 CPU (seems it can run quad channel memory) might offer better performance in ARMA3 than a 6700 (both would be oc'd to 4.6) anyone got any opinion or bench they would like to share?
