    Jesus.... i suspect frame-rates way below 30 in such 1:1 modeled cities - at least with current OA engine.

    Arma 3 and the real world

    In my ears not good to hear. Thats what i always hate in recent BIS Games, the wrong scale. Feels totally unnatural. It was already the same in Chernarus, you could walk up a "huge" RL mountain in Arma2 in like 3 minutes, while looking the original spot with google earth and judging by sizes of houses roads and stuff, i bet in RL you would have taken like 30minutes at least. Who cares about travel distances? Do you want to bring out a "most realistic military simulator" (like A2 was called on the packaging already- haha) or an arcade game? :rolleyes: Rather adopt the missions from campaign and scenarios instead of killing real-world immersion, by reducing the scale. Furthermore try to remember that the community actually creates the best and most played missions/campaigns/scenarios whatever. So please give us the real scale. :cool:

  4. Is there any CIT Ticket for it? I also find this annoying and makes AI commanding very uncomfortable.

  6. Its funny that this was exactly what Maruk (BIS CEO) promised us in the first Interviews before Arma2 was released. The more disappointed i was, seeing there was no grasslayer in the first-place at all after buying the game and it had to be introduced way way later after community made a lot of pressure and voted this issue as #1 in the Community-Issue-Tracker. Issue Resolved? Partially only... :o I think this should be something high-priority for BIS to optimize. Even in a next big engine update, wheter this will be DLC or Expansion2.
  7. Nou i woudl change the fire-effects a little bit more. Judging by the videos even in slow-mo i couldn't spot any "fire" or "flames" coming out of the barrel. Also i woudl change smoke color in very very light gray or even white. Everything else is superb! For your planned/considered future round-types, i think Vigilante already did some work on some of them during Arma1 times and he showed some impressive videos at that point...

    Community Map?

    Personally i really don't matter what type of, what i would like to see more would be maps with like 25x25km size or even more, so real military tactics, support (of all kind) could be properly used for the first time. I am well aware of the extreme work required for this, but i also wouldn't mind if such a map is not coming before mid-2013, as long as it comes. My 2 cents.

  10. I wholeheartedly agree! However accessing change-logs, like i do everytime for the ACE-Parts, was easier in the old web-based updater suite. :)

    How about a new AI Please

    While i disagree with the tone of the OP, i agree to his complaints. The points he listed are still among the most annoying AI Bugs since OFP or Arma1. Yes, we all do indeed know that Armas AI is not scripted like in most other todays games, but Jesus H Christ, these annoying things must be able to be fixed. An no, the solution is not to get used to it (even if you do automatically over time), they should be fixed, period.
  12. Here was a test of couple OC'ed 560TI's http://www.tomshardware.de/geforce-gtx-560-ti-Vergleichstest-Grafikkarten-overclocking-GF114,testberichte-240727-20.html I linked the page with power-consumption, temperature and fan-noise. The Gigabyte SOC is a noisy thing. I would not buy it.

Dear Battleye developer Bastian and dear Arma Dediserver-developers, as you might know, our community "arma-rpg.com" are running a Gameserver (placed second in the list) with one of the most played missions, called Sahrani-Life(reloaded). We have both Battleye enabled and Sigchecking enabled, but still people CAN and DO HACK/CHEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE SERVER, by spawning Bombs and stuff and destryoing everything. This leads then sometimes that the whole Server crashes and can only be restarted by shell-console and the server-script (we using linux). It was with most certainty this new KFC-Package: <span style='color:red'>K F C link removed</span> As you can read in this thread, you can bypass the sig-checking by placing the PBO in your addons-folder AFTER you joined, means when you already ingame. This must be a joke right? Sigchecking ONLY check when joining but not after? Please FIX this. Please, who ever is responsible for preventing this, DO IT! Do not release a other version of the dedicated server/Battleye until you fixed this. We are so unbelievably annoyed by this. This is so annoying, i am working from home and people annoys me every hour that the thing got hacked/cheated again - i have no time for this! Please Please Please fix this! Sorry for my harsh way of presenting this, but enough is enough.... Best Regards, Christian

  15. Correct. Also its almost unplayable for me now on Utes or Chernarus. Utes was always (unless played with massive AI) 60FPS+ for me (Vsync limit), now its felt like 25 at max. Takistan runs fine though :j:

  17. Hehe, well his Javelin looked already in Arma1 "almost done". I think there were some models needed for the single pieces like ECU, Tube, etc. and the proper config changes, as well making it MP compatible. Other than that it looked complete for me in End-2009 already.
  18. +1 :);) EDIT: To add my humble opinion. Instead of mis-tweaking something that was "Ok" in the first place, how about fixing the countless and countless well documented Animation-Bugs in the engine or the countless of other lame things in the engine since OFP? Just look at the Dev-Heaven Community-Issue-Tracker ;-) I'd rather have spent time on these bugs instead wasting it for something literally no-one wants to have. ;-)

  21. Heya... well i asked for a link to the BI-Studio Forums-Topic for the units, not the download link. I would expect a link to the forums-topic and not to the download-location in the first post of this topic here. Regarding Six-Updater, it has tons of advantages really. Lingor is already there packed together with all necessary objects and stuff in one package, but the lingor-units are missing still. I'll go and suggesting the addition of Lingor-Units into the Lingor-Pack to Sickboy. IMHO they belong together. :D

    Have you tried to split your group into and put them in those "sub-groups" with "team-red", "team-green", whatever? If so, does the "second element" as you named them, still behave that way? If yes, we should suggest a change in that behavior via the CIT.
  23. Thanks for updating the island! Its amazing! Please would you add links to the BI-Studio Forums Topic about your Lingor-Units in the first post? Also could the units be added to the Lingor-map in Six-Updater? (Lingor Units are not in Six-Network so far anyway)
