This is a really good game, i just wish grenades could be used indoors. But what's up with this 1GB "demo", it has too much in it to be a demo... and the official demo is only 361MB. Something strange going on here. *x-files theme*

The man has a damn good point . Â Soldner promised to be so much and then... Indeed, but hardware has improved so much since then i believe that it's all the more possible to do it for real this time around. Well atleast i hope so.... with all that "next gen" crap going on i sure hope i'll something more then neat textures and high poligon counts in a game.

I remember that demo, and all the missions for it. My favorite was the one where you ambush a russian convoy, there were so many missions released for that demo. Heh... even the demo of the game was moddable beyond most full games.

I understand but some people seem to be very disappointed in a way and i don't understand it elsewise as them expecting Armed Assault to be the next Flashpoint - which it clearly isn't - it has no _drastic_ engine improvements, i mean if Arma was the sequel i'm sure that BiS would inculde the "lego type" building system that game2 has in it already.

Well, some time ago they said that ArmA is turning out to be a game2 of it's own. They just meant it has lots of improvements but still, it's the flashpoint one engine, game2 stillremains game2, and Arma is still just an update. It's not the sequel to operation flashpoint.

Well, i don't know, my computer could run anything i threw at it so far, on max usually, so i don't plan on upgrading. Got about "half" of what you'll have, except for the RAM, of which i have only 512 MB (but it's RDRAM, runs on 1066Mhz frequency opposed to DDR which runs at around 400 Mhz best last i heard). I'm waiting for "breakthroughs" in computer science, cause i'm poor ya know.

Isn't the only thing standing between release and Arma the lack of publishers? Anyone know how OFP:Elite sold? Maybe it sold bad and that scared off potential publishers? But it shouldn't be that hard to find someone who would publish a finished product though, or? Ahh i am confused
