I've looked on the wiki about the black loading screen related to vista.. The problem is that I don't have a 64-bit install, and I don't have 4 gigs of ram. my specs: Vista SP1 Nvidia GeForce GTX260 DirectX10. Latest Drivers as of Sept 9th, 2008. Intel C2D 6600 1.8ghz (Yeah, I know..) 3GB RAM I get a black loading screen, and black textures on my game. I can't see any of the text relating to the buttons on the main menu.

EDIT- I re-read some of the posts, and before, I assumed some of you had the same problem as I had. When I tried installing XAM, the installer wouldn't show. Sorry if this doesn't solve your problem. For those having problems with Vista, either be really patient, or turn off User Account Control. It should be located somewhere in the accounts, or priledges section of the control panel.

Lovely mod. I'm real excited to use the lasersights on the Sigs in actual missions. I've noticed however, the firing range mission doesn't work. It allows you to use the Panzerfaust, and the pistols, but does not allow you to use any of the other weapons.

Back in OFP, I was a very solitary player, I never liked multi-player, as it never caught my interest. I'm not a complete newbie to the game, just the online experience. Heh, custom missions was all that I played! I'm only 16, but very mature online (If you have Xbox Live, you may add me, MrCheetohs). I do play chromehounds, so I am used to playing with an organzied squad and communicating via headsets. I would like to join a squad based in the United States so that I don't need to be on very late to play, but I wouldn't mind joining a squad based in the UK, or somewhere other than the US. Just as long as you guys can speak some english! I'm willing to fill in whatever role you may need in your squad. Thanks in advance!

I've purchased the game yesterday, and worked fine when I installed it, but now, it no longer let's me play, as I get the error as quoted in the topic title. No, I did not pirate the game, at the request, I can take a picture of my box, DVD, and possibly my reciept (It's somewhere in my room). I've uninstalled Daemon Tools (Hate putting in and taking DVD's out of my drive) and restarted my computer. Even after this, I still get the message. What can I do? EDIT- Alright, I've figured this out, it seems that this is not a very common error, and I followed the url that securom gave me "http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=emu&c=14000". I installed blindwrite a long time ago, as I was trying to convert video files to an mpg format for my Ipod. I removed this, however, it did not remove EZ-play, so this was preventing ArmA from starting ip.

Simple, all mercenarys have to go through an eye lid removal. Hmm... How did you get the P90?

Did you extract all the contents to your desktop or another folder, then click on the folder, and cut and paste the files into your res>addons directory?

For some reason, I no longer see the briefing journal (Where all your notes, objectives, teammates, and loadouts are) in both editor missions, and singleplayer missions. However, I do see it in multi-player. Any help?

Perhaps we should cease on this discussion, as this thread is about FFUR, not real world relationships between countries. A question for thunderbird: Did you take out the 'Lower Goggles' feature on some units? I found this feature to be quiet useless, and takes up space on the action menu.

And yet we can download the Swedish Special Forces pack, and use them as enemys for our American Rangers. It's all fictional, take it easy. TB most likely did get permission.

I think it would be best to post this question over at OFPEC. I think it can be done though, seeing as how someone has created key binds for airplanes. (i.e. Binding 'raise gear' to b, or any other key)

In some of the singleplayer missions from BIS, I noticed there is a GPS type gadget on the map screen. I was wondering how can you implement this in a mission. I've gone through the command refrence, and the editors depot on OFPEC, but alas, I could not find my answer. Does anyone know if this is possible to do, and if so, how do you enable this?
