Technology wise, they stand on even ground. But, since Russian tanks frequently seem to have been designed with 4 foot high crewmen in mind, the crew is squashed together and their performance levels are reduced quickly. Western tanks normally are more spacious (For tanks, I mean. They're still cramped), so the crew are more effective.

BIS should make special forces missions that way BAS does, with lots of explosions and choppers zooming in from the sky and dumping out troops while tracers zip around your head...FUN!

On a more serious note, where would the tribe live? I mean, the jungles are going to be full of TRF, so there's no space for tribes to live. The head is probably supposed to be the head of a traitor in the TRF.

Hey pazuzu, I've got mostly the same specs (Except I've got the Pro Version of the Radeon 9800). I solved the "blue screen" bug by moving my user folder out of harm's way (Just the campaign saves, delete any missions you made that could have troublesome addons), then reinstall OFP from scratch. Now use mod folders and you should be able to use the island and the units. Also, could you post it onthe forums if you also get the "rug bug", that is, the rugs don't display textures but the sofas do? Edit - Bad Grammer

Why not have fast roping for the Little Birds? They've got a nice script for the fast roping from MH-60s, so they could update the MH-47 with this version and also use the script on the MH-6. I love the point-n-click method that the script lets you choose your drop site with.

How about a vastly improved M113 (I see multiplayer ) that allows things like soldiers firing out of gunports? I believe that a common U.S. tactic in Vietnam was to simply drive the tank straight toward an enemy position, firing everything. If you had an M2 and multiple M-60s on the roof of the M113, plus 8 soldiers firing through gunports...Complete mayhem!

What's wrong with respawning, combined with a body deletion script it can make for very realistic battles without the lag problems caused by having 150 soldiers hanging around in a city. I think that the fourth mission had about 20 real soldiers, and the rest were just respawns. As long as the respawning cuts out after a certain number of respawns, it's perfect for city missions.

I was merely wondering what happened to the Desert Pack. There were a couple of news pieces about it, and then it vanished without a trace. I was mainly wondering if there were plans to have a special set of vehicles textured for the jungles of Tonal. I'm sure Nagual's campaign will feature more than cameo appearances by the BAS special forces soldiers ...

I don't know I think it could be three things: 1. Fight an enormous battle in Tatu, with Blackhawks, Little Birds, and friendly Mi-24s blasting everything in sight while Deltas/Rangers assist government troops in fighting off an enormous rebel force that's charging the city. 2. Find and kill all the rebel soldiers at their base at Aj31. A massive jungle battle extravaganza! 3. Blow up the Scuds. Basically, the overused ending where the player saves the country/world (I hear echoes of CWC and Resistance here ).
