Its because i was not sure if that video card was fully compatible with dxdll. I wana enjoy all the tings in it to have good grapics :P with this video card (9600 SE) am i able to play ofp with all grafics max without having the postprocessing to lag, or other lag (using the amd3500 64bitz) ?? -

with an Powercolor ATI Raedon 9600 SE 128 DDR can i take full advantage of dxdll (postprocessing, etc etc) in a AMD 64 +3500 (Socket 939) ? -
well we started first, we intend to make a complete campaign just not one or two battles. ;) Our initial objective is to complete 1942 year, but if we get more pll after demo release and things run good we will also recreat the whole north africa campaing (aproximatly 3 years) We are currently working on the demo, and will be finished when its done, cant predict the date, we already said we where gona release it and we didnt :P

Thats a nice idea, i think it should been added to weather stystem The ability to change the season (Winter, Summer, etc) Also if they implement a new water stystem, and river (from any point of the island) they should add diferent height waves to sea, and a variable current for rivers. What i think that would be wicked would be when it rains water would fill up, that would be the ultimate stuff. think about u being on a dry "little river" then starts raining and it starts flowing and filling up, and creating a water course. i dream alot u know ....

The best thing would be dust particles, that would come with explosions, ridiing to fast, "hiting the dirth" etc, but that would require interaction from the soldier with the dust particles, the same thing with rain, like getting wet, stuff like that Textures is also a choice but not that realistic,

In the current ofp, islands are acording to real scale (256x256 = 12.8km) but objects and mens aren´t so when we want to make a place acording to reality the objects will not correspond to island size, acordign to real scale. i think this should be improved, it would make the islands not that sparse of buildings, etc

I think it should be improved the ability to "dig/raise" in the cells, so when we can make trenches, make horizontal roads in the mountains, etc.

nice! but i think the lake addon is not realy water is more like a graffical layer, and if we could use it with triggers, wrp guy would just have to rise/lower the area, and then aply the trigger, and it would like its in the lake addon pictures. its just a tought but if possible would be nice

yea i know the lake is old but still someone should release that it would alow to make rivers in islands. and maybe like i thinked, the sea :P

i found that lake addon thing, its amazing, tough im not sure if will ever be released. Here It realy looks great, somebody should contact that guy. i think its only a transparent layer, the person can only walk in the terrain, but he needed scripts to swimm, so the only thing needed to make it realistic was to make some swim anims and scripts in order that as soon u enter the lake u would be able to swim everyere and not walk, also a breathing script, This would be realy amazinhg.

the whale thing for normal water was only the tail animation that would come up and down, if u ever seen that move is that what im trying to say, the shark would only be the up tail, as for piranhas it would only for that lake addon, the water there was transparent. By the way anyone knew what hapenned to that lake addon, it would be a great addtion to ofp, cuz it could be modified to fill land as rivers this would mean realy a river at any height of the island.

yo mig, tugas alee!!! Do u know if dolfins/sharks/wales/piranhas are possible in ofp? or are the animations too dificult to be done. Just some toughts: Remember the lake addon that was to be released, i guess it could be changed to fill a designated area so we could place it with WRP/Visitor in islands, and if this was possible we could the piranhas and other river animals, and realy see them inside the river at diferent heights. - As for sea i the only way i can think is that i could would only be used in a map was "continental" style (what i mean is that the wrp guy would have to fill the whole map with a layer of ground - model the botton of the ocean - then he would make the island, but the island would not start from 0 m hight, it would have a base - the height of the island base would be the water deept - then he could start making the island from that base, later we would fill the map - only in the base height - with the lake addon (somehow modified to fill the amout of area we want). Sounds crazy but if this work it would be mad Kewl, this way we could have transparent water, a modeled botton with fauna, biodiversity, etc, have submarinhos like in reality(they would have similar heli config), have water animals, have diver soldiers, etc etc if anyone trying this or knows its impossible please reply something. :P Peace

a nice idea is the archipelago, i live in one. Azores belongs to Portugal, but its too big for ofp, the island where i live in (im making it for ofp) its 21km x 14 km (im using 512x512), and my island is the medium size of the 9 nine islands, so imagine the rest :P

Can anyone tell me whats the advantage of using 3d max to model the terrain: ? possibility to model the terrain witouth being limited by the greed (there´s no 50x50 or 25 x 25, simply u give height/model where u want) ? ? By the way u know where can i get very zoomed DEM´s for free
