i hope the view distance thingy disapears, a new engine should make it diferent. Realism means lots of view distance, ofp1 is a example that view distance realy sucks. Even with 5000m it sucks lol.

I think they should make the helis has they are in real life lol, if they have double guns then it should be in game, if they dont then no lol just simple as that. Also in ofp2 i bet u can move around in vehicles while theyr moving so u can also use ur gun and help in the firing :P

Hum i guess their not using it since they scan the fooliage then selves and make their own trees, and im shure at the same time they make it low on performance.

Another Thing, I guess now we can have battlefield Coops, has they stated that ur in a area, while action ocurs in other areas and the hability to have thousands of troop around the map, U could have Human Coop vs Human Coop, or human coop vs AI, each team would start in a specified area try to control it and advance, while other do the same, result Defeat or Victory, of course for that u would have to spend the whole day playing or even a week, Thats where Join in Progress enters:P . Or in a league games saved and resumed. Also this new ability of have thousands of troops in a battlefield, and ir ur range of view hundreds i guess the modding comunity will be extremly happy since ww2 fire barrages can be recreated like they happened(ex: ww1 or El Alamein, Europe, the list goes on). Anways i just hope they creat a great air simmulation so theres no restrictions as a total recreation. lol Just happy

well that article cleared my mind about the new phisics and features (great article btw). If they say grafics will be impressive as UT2007 then id say no need to create anymore treads about grafics lol, theyr just unbelieavable. Im just amazed with the new brick by brick building construction, (guess mods will even take more time to be released lol ). And quoting "Puting a bomb over a a city that usesdynamic buldings, will be the final test" and hes shure it wont lag game down :P sounds great. They havent yet spoken about helis and planes, they say vehicles will also be as in real but nothing about having air simmulation in general, maybe cuz the thousands and thousands of Ai´s in Map make it a problem when u have a wide range of vision (like in current air sims). Guess we will just have to wait and see . Anyways thks for the scans

yes flaps are good for take off, in real life their just 10% in take off(depend of plane). During flight i think u can turn more with it, not shure dough Real Life more stability (ex: landings, storms).

im not talking just about helis im talking about the whole thing, has pll state terrain fisics will be very realistic, air and sea should also be that realistic. I think air, yes helis and planes, realy need improvement, because in 2010 and nowadays planes and helis have a decisive word on a battlefield, so if we want to have the "thing" realistic we should also have air and sea realistic. And thoose who are not fighter simmulator "afficionados" dont have anything to loose no need to flame agnaist.

hum im mine i see alot from x300 to 6600Gt i can have 5000 (not laggy at all) in 6600gt and 2000 in x300 is laggy. Though i have amd64 3500 and patriot 2-3-2-5 1gb dual channel

yea like i said, newer cards are stronger, thats why we can have better view distances efex, etc etc.

I think if ofp2 wants to be called a war simmulator, has to have realistic phisics for all the war sides, air, ground, sea. Just cuz some guys dont like flight sims, doest mean that the others shouldnt not have ofp2 has a flight sim. for example. If ofp2 its just realistic in ground, then we can call it a squad simmulator. Anyways i hope ofp2 realy becomes equaly realistic for both 3 sides. That would make possible have all 3 sides cooperate live in the battlefield. i think u understand my point ;)

ofp dont even performs good in dx9 grafics, for example a dx8 card has almost the same performance of dx9 card, only dx9 cards handle more view distance and some grafic quality.(its only more stronger though performance same stuff)

the only ones that i noticed being faster than overal are 76.44 though they do not suport reflections. Also i tried 65.xx their not that good as 66.xx Anyways im using a lower card now ATI x300 , [sent my 6600GT pci-e to the store for tests and they say its ok, can figure out why i have bluescreens and low performance, maybe my patriot ram 1gb s faulty (i runned mem test and no erros reported)] Seems to me ati cars are best for ofp, its very stable and good fps, im having same fps with this low-end card that with a medium-high end card (6600GT) But when i put higher distances or postprocessing its lags alot more, (not that strong). Also another bug i found or whatever it is Postprocessing at night either in 6600GT or x300 the cursors takes time to fade out, also plane instruments lights etc. It looks like its very lagged with posprocessing at night. During the day it doesnt make 1 fps diference in the 6600GT -

I think that fisics like that should be optional for pll that have the PPU hardware. For example 64Bits CPU users in Farcry have new and upgraded effects that 64bits CPU supports, But Normal Cpu users can play with them in internet. So if we could have something like this for ppu in ofp2 would be great. Also i think ofp2 should have full 64bits support.

I also dont see us buldings houses but fox holes trenches and all the stuf would be very helpfull, specialy for ww2. But i think if the engine would alow to build houses like ur saying it would be kewl for someone that likes CTI. Also i think the terrain needs a complete new sistem, for example the sand. In iraq war there was the buldozer tanks opening passages trought the sand walls. This woulbe a wicked thing to have. The possiblity to interact with terrain particles. (this would alow to dig foxholes and trenches, tunnels etc).

but if nowadays a soldier already has its own pda, in 2010 im shure it would be realistic to at least squad leaders have their own zoom binnoculars.
