Only 3 hours of playing and maybe 20% of the island seen. The Castle is awesome, follow the small rivier up to the lake in the middle of the island, then look for the highest point just east of the lake, huge castle, looks to be a great battle zone. The large citys one in the Northwestpart and one in the Southeast part, tall 8 story buildings, multi-level small buildings, great for urban missions. Also I believe the towns called Providence?, middle area, to the south, very nice, great urban fighting. Any city on the shore line, the docks are perfect, no fade in and out, coastal assualts or drug smuggler take downs here I come. The bridge, nuff said Lots of small houses hiddin in the northern woods and mountains, Ted Kasinkii (spelling) the unibomber anyone? feul stations look like fuel stations now. Thats all I saw in 3 hours of playing, and maybe 1 hour of flying around in the editor, which rules now.Sorry to coordinates, to busy playing to write anything down

Ok, got some playing time in on OFP-R last night, heres my "opinion". Which is subject to ridicule if you please. 1.If you did'nt pre-order or reserve a copy guess what, you ain't getting one anywhere, stores are sold out and people are begging for it. Get yours reserved!! 2.Loading is cake 3.You don't need a supperman system to run OFP-R P-3 550mhz,256ram,Nidia G-2or3(can'tremember)64mb video card. Just set everything low, hey you wont know the diffrence, the game still looks stunning.Plays fine with butt load of stuff on screen and has minimal skipping/lag. 4.BIS out did themselves, this has to be the most fun I've had since I found out what my peckers for. The sory line is awesome, the new pick and drop rules, the AI is better, the island is a masterpeice. 5. The motorcycle looks to be a old truimph, what a blast to ride. The cop jeeps are cool as hell, lifted 4x4 with a cool ass light bar. THe buses rock, terrorist missions here we come. And finally, if you did'nt reserve a copy what the hell where you thinking? Great Job BIS, codemasterbaters, well, at least you did'nt package it wrong

Well, Madison Wisconsin stores have OFP-R now, got a call at 10am that my reserve copy is in at software ect. Best Buy is still empty, they expect shipment on friday of new games and on the shelf saturday maybe. So I will be thrashing all weekend, hope the rest of you all get yours soon

Not to mad Pvt., just think it's pathetic how Codemasterbaters has handled this. If I ran my business like they did my doors would be closed in a month. They act alot like the DMV, it'll get done when its done, no rush, no worry. Cause they know the people are lined up waiting and not going elsewhere.

Don't bother to look around Madison Wisconsin, I've checked everywhere and nothing, my reserve at Software Ect should have been in on the 9th, now they say shipping problems maybe the 11th. I don't know whats freaking worse, waiting for OFPR or waiting for my Hobbyits plates for my Camaro and drag truck.Between the DMV and Codemasters theres gonna be some heads rolling soon.......

Wow, there must be some tricky triggers that must need to get set for things to work properly. I've played the mission a few more times and never had had a problem, the boat shows up right after I clear the village(lametin) and I can go back to base, or just jump in the Humvee and haul ass for the hospital or provins. Might have to try and go rambo and see if it screws up like others have had. The only thing that did occur that bothered me was the radio message says 4 t-80s inbound but only 2 show up. There dumber than dirt though, easy work with the Carl Gustov right up there pooper.

I whole hardly agree, Codemasterbaters has done a horrible job of marketing OFP to the US gamers. I myself only learned of the game by accident, was surfing and typed in something involving a paintball scenario game I was interested in attending and found out this game was in development. This was back in 01'. Got the demo and was hooked, everyone I've shown the game to never heard of it but went and bought it after I let them play for a couple minutes. My God, I am so sick of going to Best Buy and seeing the same games on the shelf made by the same companys. Geeze even the US Army does a better job of marketing a game before it comes out, and these guys have never done this before. I'm sure once the contracts up you'll see a change. Go BIS, You Rule, you've got me so hooked since OFP's release I have'nt purchased any other game unless its something for OFP.

Well, my brother finally called back but I was off so heres what he said about our Best Buy. Maybe by the 10th, maybe not. Employee in charge of games was pissed cause people have been calling everyday asking about it(hehehhehe) and he's sick of them. So I guess that means a extra couple of calls are in order(hehehe). In all seriousness, I really think the best buys are lost and just don't want to admit they havent a clue when they will recieve shipments. So just like when the original OFP came out, and Red Hammer, Codemasterbaters have screwed the pouch. Really people, if you don't have it ready to ship and in stores until the 10th, don't plaster the release as the 28th of the previous month. Really, it won't affect sales of us diehard fans, but the ocassional gamer will be standing in the store wondering where it is, decide Ghost Recon (or something else)will do and not come back for Resistance until the bottom dropped out of it and its only 12.99$ or something like that. Ya, this is only a "what if" but in the world of gaming its shit or get of the pot. Nobody likes a bullshitter. Just some random thoughts as I get nothing done at work.

What is the release date for us Yanks. I know it was stated as July 28th but this is rediculous. 4 different stores with 20 different answers from the employees. I've heard anything from July 28th (as I am asking them on July 30th) to July 15th. I have also had the "Don't you mean Ghost Recon?" to the " Never heard of it, you sure you don't mean the original?" Also the "Call back tommorows" are getting old. Wait, wait just a minute, what a great marketing idea, no money involved, just us die-hards who love OFP. We've been swamping the stores with requests for this game, I'm sure this comes up on thier puters at work, what games have been requested. Managers see such a huge request for the availbilty and order a butt load in and place them right out front for everyone to drool over. Throw those Ghost Recons in the back, we got the hot ticket now, everyones calling for it. So Codemasters found a way to get the word out without too much effort. Cool. I get a kick, WargammerIII is in the buildings, stuffed in the back, allready on hand, just waiting for the official release date of July 3rd. Nobodys gonna wonder why they arent on the shelfs. I know this cause I looked at the game allready, did'nt put my name down, gotta have OFP, gotta have OFP, gotta have OFP. I'm afraid to call anymore, everyday I call they just add it on another day.

I really like this mission, I still play it alot. Theres actually two ways to end this mission, the boat will come and land just west of Lamitin and wait as long as you please to pick you up, then transport you home. Or, jump in a Hummvee and try to drive to the Hospital or Provins, both are end points. When you get to the point that you've cleared Lametin and your standing around waiting the mission isnt over if you don't want it to be. Dark is falling and things can get interesting outside of town. I head due east, back to where I was ambushed, there was a armor platoon waiting there in ambush, 1 T-80, I think, didnt hang around very long, and multiple soldiers patrolling. SO I belined around them, headed toward La Moule. I believe and another patrol was roaming the town, there was a empty T-55 sitting in town, but it was well defended by Russians. So I headed north towards the hospital, another pair of patrols hunting for me along the way, then I ran in to a pair of M1A1's and they lite the bastards up for me as I sat on a hill top and laughed. By now it was pretty dark so I rolled up to the airstrip, nothing there, checked out the remaining bases, by now it was dark as hell. I'm parked in Montigac waiting for daylight. SO when I get more free time I am going to let the game run threw the night and go exploring for baddies. I only have myself and 2 troops so we are limited in what we can take down, but it is still fun to hunt and kill when you have no idea whats out there.

I have'nt even seen the game yet, so this is purely conjecture. But I would say the blue smoke trailing the bike is oil burning, diesels usually puff nice black smoke on take off. Course I could be wrong, like I said, have'nt got my copy yet. Although I do see alot of fun coming with the bikes. Gang wars will be a blast. Crusaders vs. Hells Angels here we come
