Hm, I'm looking a bit differently on those '500 fixes'; it means that the game was bugged to Pluto and back, and I don't see it like the others, like 'this is great', 'yes!', 'sweet' or    (well, on some (other) way I do), and I don't see it like they (BIS) are doing us a favor with it; they're just paying 'a dept' to us (customers) and I fully agree with INNOCENT&CLUELESS that if the others are doing shit is not an excuse that I can do shit (also). Of course I'm happy that the patches are comming up, but all the 'procedure' (publishing a cripled product and then (eventually) patching it) is just plain wrong and till this won't be sanctioned (by the custumers, by the communities) this practice will continue, and as I see it it'll be worse and worse. I'm just sorry for those dudes which are buying such products and don't have an internet connection for instance (yes, such people still exist), or don't know that they must later to go on the official site to DL all those mighty patches to get the game 'rolling' as it should 'roll' at the first place (when it was purchased). And to moan (like Balschoiw) about the others which moan about the cripled product is not really a serious and mature doing, and saying that the 'haters' are all newcommers (it's quite uncontrary! ), former BF2 players and similar rediculous statements is also not very bright, or; "Return you`re version of Arma, and stay out of this forum." ,,, this is not even worthed to comment. I just wish that some people would act more rationally and by a common logic, and not like some blindfolded -yes- fanboys. Yes hell it would please me, I would had no problems to wait all that time, I'm not some impatient kiddo which wants his toy now, and that's how it's working you know; a product (a car for instance) can't be released till it's fully designed, without any flaws, and the developing process tooks years ,,, but in gaming industry this obviously is possible. Why? Yes, ask yourself ... And I know that some developing studios or groups are already paying the price for/to such a policy. But till BIS have such a (naive) community, there's no winter for them ...

Now from where that idea camed from? Please go back on page one and read carefully the initial post from W0lle to get it, and please just stop buzzing around in this thread.
-
You should be the first to apply and to use and to practice this rule.

Let me share my thouths with ya and what I think it is ; I think BIS had something (a graphic engine?) that was something between OFP and a Game2, something like not a mouse not a bird but a bat, and they like didn't wanted/needed it anymore (it's becamed like obsolete?), so what to/can be done with such a 'material'? Something like this: to quickly assemble a crappy campaign (half an hour in the editor per mission?), to add the editor of course, and then to pack it and to sell it to us (the suckers?) to collect some (more) money (for a Game 2 ?).
-
Certainly not me; I've already 'donated' my share by buying the game (which I shelved it btw), and by normal logic and in normal circumstances that's the normal practice and it should be enough/sufice. And if ArmA is the ultimate combat simulator then God help us gamers, but as some stated a bit behind marketing means to exaggerate the things, so nothing new and surprising here; ok then, ArmA is 'the ultimate combat simulator'. If such (and other) things don't makes the game(s) to be a peice of crap, then I dont' know what.

About a grammar you smart arse ... Now I've really done with you.
-
I was not totally sober then (which don't means that I didn't knewed what I'm typing), and was typed pretty quickly (was not at home but in Cyber Caffe), and if you would look a bit closely you would see that there's not mispelling in question, but mistyping. And English is not my native language, so this is just your helplessness talking out from you. And for the rest of the quote ,,, it's equally pathetic as the part I commented, which says much for you. Another BS from you. If you don't understand it what I mean I won't explain it to you, because by all means it would be totally pointless, just this; by this (idiotic) logic there would be soon no games on the market, but just some (bugged?) editors, and then you custumer go buy them and go to fiddle yourself with them. I didn't buyed OFP because of the Editor. Have you? And I've done with your smart arse. EDIT: @whisper - Sorry if I offended you, but for instance there's lots of your posts in 'dissaponting' thread, and I don't think they're like 'complaint posts', and in one ocasion you're even addmiting that (some of) you at some point are spamming the thread. No bad feelings I hope.
-
But your habbit is to argue/troll any definition which isn't like yours.
-
Suit youself. That's what I said SEAL84 ,,, but nevermind. EDIT: but I'm staying at that that quoted statement is a BS.
-
I think it's under every criteria that SEAL84 is trolled by dudes like 4 IN 1, whisper and a kind, and I think that some are more blind that I'm pissed(drunk) right now. Amen. What kinf of BS it this? Do you know/realise how stupid this statement is? Here you go, I have done my share of trilling ...

People, it's all relative; I've tried all these mods which are around, but ultmately I've (always) stayed/returned to ECP, garned with some visual enhancements like Berghoff's Nature pack and that dxdll or whatever from Kegety's and  Modul's Sky pack and so on ,,, and of course some unit addons like Marine Assault Pack and DKM VIT APC Pack and similar ,,, and Sanctuary's Animation Replacement Next Generation Pack and so on  ...

(Those beautiful) black eyes in Russian ,,, I think  Yes, yes ,,, go on !!! As I said; don't know shit ,,, can say it, but hate that spelling.
-
Or; "O, che bella gambe! ,,, O, che brutta faca!" And how many languagues do I speak fluently? None, not even my native one, I'm not so cocky to think I do.
-
I'm not so into that Vietnam and Blackhawk Down themes but there's little pure air/chopper missions (due to the dumbed flying AI they're pigs to make), so you won't find many (good) of them. You could try an excellent 'Apache Assault' from Charlie Howarth (can't remeber any link to it so google it), and 'Where The World Ends' from Gaia (it have a thread in this section so use a serch button or browse a bit). Hope this helps.

If you're talking to me privateguba; I've done all possible things; yes been an observer as an even a female civilian too, only I didn't tried it as as a seagul  , and any possible sets, and possible scenarios, as I said it was very extensive testing (to really proove it (to myself)) ,,, and with me always the west was a winner in the win statistic.
-
I have also noticed this in OFP and I remember I did a very extensive testing much similar to yours and yes, the ratio of wins was always greatly in favor for the west, especially if the player is in the/some squad (doing nothing). I have also noticed some other things (in OFP, I dumped ArmA) like sometimes if the player is looking thru the binoculars and he have a machine gunner in his squad and at the moment beside him, that machine gunner is 'using' the player's 'optic' and he became a sniper with a machine gun  Well, no game is perfect ...

Go to NASA and steal one of their super-comps. But still I can't garantee you anything ...

Hm, it's hard to offer apropriate help if the 'case' is not so well explained   I'm assuming the soldier is in aware or combat mode, so try to change his behaviour to careless after he kills the driver; make a trigger with  not alive driverName  Condition and in On Activation put  soldierName setBehaviour "careless", you can also add  soldierName setUnitPos "up"  if needed.
-
if you want to make a point, you would have to make a simple reference, to mark whats the "different" part in your opinion, or someone out there will going to flood you with flameable liquid oh and if you somehow find another way to bypass engine limit in ofp, remember to tell someone, ppl will more then happy to hear that He did make a point (a different -disappointing???- game), I don't think there's any need for some in-depth elaboration, but if you really need some then just browse back thru the pages here or even better play ARMA, and I'm sorry that I didn't apply the same (very wise) policy like MilitiaSniper did.

To add to all this topic and off-topic discussion; reviewing some-thing is one of the most stupidiest things a man/woman can do in his existance; it's nothing but the imposing the (mostly 'wrong' and then badly expressed) personal expirience and the view and the 'reviewer's' (mostly bad) taste on the others, and on top of it if the 'reviewer' rates with a score, then the measure is full. Any person calling himself for a 'reviewer' should be shot on the spot.
-
(I) Don't take seriously the comments with a dancing banana(s) in it.
-
I agree that most of the reviewers don't care to 'uphold the consumer standards' or to 'be on side of customers' and that they're 'on their own side', but this is not the point here, this is mostly a matter of their own competence. Was ARMA in Very good or Excelent status? You see, this statement is very questionable and it's vary from 'taste' to 'taste'. IMHO it's worth to release a product when it's READY. And I think you still didn't quite get it on what Baff1 is applying in his post, in my eyes and I think the core sentence in his post is

I can't believe that a company could be this stupid. It's like you tell them: Do this and you will have success! And they don't do it... I think CM is a company with much experience on the game market and they know how to meet the gamers needs. Well, from your 'lips' into the god's/dev's ears, Freshman  -
@Dwarden - I think you and Heatseeker are missing the point what Baff1 in his post is saying. I'll not explain it all over again, just read the baff1's post again if you want, and don't mesure all the world by this site's standards.
