  1. Great FSX Addons:

I played for a while with the FS09 PMDG 737 and just switched to the FSX PMDG 737 NGX - Amazing plane. It uses quite a bit of my new hardware but its worth every penny. Nearly everything is usable, clickable or adjustable and the FMC is a real step forward compared to the FS9 FMC :) (It was nearly impossible to fly a regular descent without using the air brakes)

I also bought REX-2 and am quite happy with it. Clouds and skies are amazing. I took a photo with my mobile in which you couldn't see the edges of the screen and sent it to a friend, after which he asked if I have been in the cockpit of an airplane. :) :)

  2. Is it just me or does this picture really look like ArmA?

    Edit

    The underline of the picture:

"Chinesische Polizeimänner in Xinjiang: Die aktuelle Lage gilt als extrem angespannt"

  3. Hey guys,

I hope its ok to dig up this old thread - I've ignored those simulations for quite some time but due to some lucky coincidents I got into FS2004 and the PMDG 737-800. I bought FS:X for my home computer and was overwhelmed by the massive supply of (quite expensive) addons.

I'm currently thinking about buying either the PMDG 737 NGX or the MD-11 (which is supposed to have a better FMC)

Further I'm thinking about new scenarios. The Innsbruck addon looks pretty good to me. Any other recommendations?

In addition I'm looking for a joystick. I'm currently using a 40€ Logitech joystick which is ok. Sadly I've lost my Sidewinder FF2 ... Would you recommend a new Force Feedback joystick or is a cheaper one (like the 40€ joystick from Logitech) alright?

Anyone already with X-Plane 10? I tried the demo but my computer cant handle it...

Microsoft Flight is no option for me...

  4. today I have made some researches in Polish language in Polish press, guess what ? zero, no news about things Walker wrote

zero information, usual citizen has no idea about things you say here , cause there is no website or newspaper who wrote about things you prescribed , woow

There was an article at the "Tagesschau" website - but nothing more. And they didn't mention anything of the critical stuff.

  5. I agree. I almost have the feeling they are worse then ME2. Although I personally think it's been going downhill since ME1.

There was also a bit of a problem keeping the character to the wall instead of rolling around all the time, but that might just be me not handling the controls good enough. ;)

    I experienced the same.

I played ME2 for the storyline and I guess I'll get ME3 when the lowered the price, but the begining didn't blew me away...

Have you tried Amazon? I use Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon for all my movies and TV shows. Have you tried using a US-based proxy?

Yes, amazon.com requests an US IP, too.

The German version doesn't have an online-movie section.

But I'll try the stealthy addon. As far as I can tell, its not illegal to do that (actually its not covered by the law at all)

    Edit

"If, however, our system has incorrectly determined that you are outside the U.S. or if you are trying to access Hulu from a U.S. military base, please submit this form. Please note that Hulu does not work with anonymizers or proxy services. If you’re using such a service, please discontinue its use in order to watch Hulu videos."

    Tried it, doesn't work :-/

  7. Hi,

I think this is a kind of a hopeless case, since it involves those stupid, national rights, but I'll try it anyway.

I'm looking for a legal way of watching TV shows (mainly from the US) online. This has two reasons

    1) I'm sick of all the rubbish I'm carrying around. For over a year I haven't any physical copies of music, movies and books. I hate it that my flat is full of old books I'll never read again.

I want to access all my stuff, whereever I am. (I love the digital age btw :D )

    2) German synchronisation is really bad in most cases. Its all right for a film in the cinema, but it gets pretty bad when you're watching a TV show.

I guess this is a similar problem in other countries.

    Example.

I tried to download the first episodes of Stargate Universe season one. But they're only available on DVD in Germany. So I tried to access them via iTunes (didn't work), Amazon (didn't work) and Netflix (didn't work)

Why can't I watch them? There is no advertisement or anything, so I don't get why they're blocked over here. (Or have they been bought by German TV channels and "blocked" for X amount of time?)

Are there any alternatives? Or is there no legal way of accessing TV shows from other countries? :(

  8. All NASA technology has produced great spin offs, teflon, velcro, micro electronics etc. - you never know this might produce a tool that is more efficient at picking noses than the average finger. :D

Teflon is no NASA (or any others space agengy) invention :) Thats a myth

But I agree with the rest - thats a field were science is really useful!

  9. By "no soul" I mean that sectors look generic

Space isn't generic. Freelancer for all its mediocrity got the 'Space' bit right.

You had stations hidden in gas clouds, you had a system with a dead star which extreme radiation slowly ate through your ship, you had a lost Spain ship flying among debris and you could see all those capsules carrying people inside, you had a system that looked like a tunnel with weird planetary remnants... Every time you jumped through a wormhole into an unknown sector there was a chance it will be completely different to where you've just been.

X has none of this. Square sectors filled with same things and with N,S,W,E exits

Space is much more interesting beast than that.

    This is pretty much it!

    @ Tonci87

Must be in some of the Omicron Systems in the southeast of the map!
