this is no bug! There have been some reports about some retired *psycho* doctor that gets his joy out of amputating innocent victims. its happens in north sahrani somewhere. i tried to get an interview with one of the victims. he wasnt available for comment, coz he lost his head. ;)

Sorry mate, you are wrong here. You mix the GOLD edition with the Expansion pack. The normal edition : ArmedAssault The GOLD edition is : ArmedAssault + Queen's Gambit expansion So, its completly ridicilous that the normal edition is 10 bucks more expensive.

What is the latest Update for Arma: Armed Assault
jerryhopper replied to tilyard2's topic in ARMA - GENERAL
A better question would be : When will there be a 'final' or official patch? why ? I cant join any non-beta server coz of my beta patch. When i dont use the beta-patch, i can only play windowed. -
If you are referring to my answer, my findings are based on real-life expiriences.
-
u could start with reading the games compatibility list on winehq, and ppl's comments there. btw: your cdkey dont get blacklisted if you try mp with same serial. its only fade that kicks in with 'public' serials. if someone joins a game where the same key is used, he simply wont get in. but what's the point trying the things above, if you already know the answer.

Very interesting post you got there Takbal. This sounds like an interesting study, since i have been part of a TNO research on War simulations, where 5 real life gamers battled against real soldiers with VBS2. i hope that you get an positive answer, keep us posted of your research! -
well, i dont play much. i do a lot of frap recording atm. with my superfast writespeed on a ssd, i certainly feel the improvement in stuttering/switching textures. the FPS sometimes drops to 20, in certain scenes. note thats with fraps recording. i have stuttering sometimes, but i blame multiplayer for that. here is some fullhd recording there is stutter in movement of the plane ( a online player ) well, im happy with my ssd.

i think pieter means that you need arma installed. but once installed ( yes with registry keys and all) you can just move it around, make copies to other drives (on the same pc!)etc etc. so yes, i guess you are delighted now :) Note: there is a reg-key that points to arma install dir but i never had problems with moving a arma copy around on my drives and play from that.(without changing that reg-key )

About podcasting or something like that : You might wanna checkout what's already been done, or is being done at the moment. Be absurdly creative, do stuff different, but most of all: do your thing with pride and passion. I can tell you out of experience : Podcasting is hard and loads of work, and requires complete dedication. But if you do it right, the reward you get is more than worth it. with all this said, im suddenly thinking (again?!) : Maybe people should combine/join forces? (been there tried that, and fails on 'complete dedication.') You might wanna checkout the current ArmAPodcast series @ http://www.armapodcast.com/ Or, checkout my PAST ArmA podcasts/radio-shows. @ http://www.armedassault.eu/Table/Sahrani-Radio/Radio-Shows/menu-id-12.html Or go back in time even more, and check the 'radio check' OFP podcasts by tigershark @ http://www.sinewsofwar.com/Community/RadioCheckPodcasts/tabid/129/Default.aspx?ItemId=26 You could also break your brains over the upcoming 'ingame vodcast' format i'm working on @ http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=99234&highlight=sort+entertainment ( Expect a pilot vodcast in june ) And last, but certainly not least: Meet the father of my podcast inspiration, the creator of the legendary 'BattleTurdRadio' BF2 podcats series, my godlike podcast-teacher, the truly creative master, craziest american from indiana and very good friend : Brow from Webturd.com and his podcast archive @ http://armedassault.eu/radiostuff/battleturdradio/ Well, that summs it all up i guess. let me know what you thinking.... regards, Jerry Hopper SahraniRadio/Channel-6/CTV -
Research: What kind of entertainment you prefer?
jerryhopper posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Hello community, Im doing some research for an entertainment program that im working on. In the past years, i have tried to entertain you with my radioshows/podcasts. During my absence, other people got creative and started the ArmA Podcast ( http://www.armapodcast.com/) I realized, that if i would present the community a new show, it should be something new. something different. "Video killed the radioshow" With the ArmA-podcast guys covering the audio section in arma, i decided to do a vodcast - or better a TV Show. I have been offered to do a entertainments show at the local television network (C-TV) We dugg up some existing tv-show concepts, to see what the community would like to see on tv. To prevent a one episode show, we are starting with a few 'pilots' (one, or more concept-tryouts ) And for these pilots, we need to know what 'lives' among the community. Please consider voting. But before you vote, please bear in mind that ArmA has its limitations as it goes for 'video-details'. In ArmA there are gestures, but not everything is possible to visualize in a natural/normal way. Question : What kind of Television entertainment would you prefer? 1. Interviews with people. ( one guest only ) 2. On sight war-reporting ( where we attend and film team or coop matches ) 3. 'Late night shows' ( with 2 or 3 guests ) 4. Short movies ( as in series example : the a-team. ) 5. Infotainment ( As in Humor/information/practice example : Top Gear ) Im looking forward to your reactions. regards, Jerry Hopper [update] Due to youtube/productiontime limits, we're aiming at video's of 10 minutes MAX. And dont forget to motivate your choice!!! -

Great reactions! Im surprised that war-reporting scores high. but i predicted the popularity of the infotainment option. So cmon guys, i need more votes and its 2 days till the poll closes! -
