i got a performance decrease with this(7600gt). and the new control panel sucks edit: 93.71

im using high shadows with a 7600gt and have 30+fps in cities. Turning from high to off gives 30% more fps. wait.. you consider 40fps lag? you bastard

animations.. download the animation viewer and search for a ani that fits. then put in a persons init filed or elsewhere: dude switchmove "xxxxxxxx"

your cpu could be the bottleneck for your fps. i had a 3200+ and 6800gt. changed to e6400 and 7600gt(should be same performance as 6800gt). with that cpu change i had a 70-90% fps increase.

Your ideas sound nice but seem very very difficult to complete. Have you heard of SLX? Im going to cry when both mods are released and dont work together. But im not sure if this would be a mod cuz this would require engine changes. Maybe you could also figure out a better name for the mod. Anyways best of luck!

yep i agree. it sucks that i cant select my targets. in the heat of battle i dont have time to cycle through tens of tanks to find that shilka. the autocenter doesnt disturb me but it would be better without it

well i have currently 1gb ram and 6800gt and v 1.05 i can play just fine without grass. 20+ fps in cities. terrain: very low, shadows high, other medium, 1024x768. 50 fps in deserts. Generally the x1650 should be better than a 6800 but seems the 128bits make a lot of difference. when i get the new card ill let you know if i have 10 fps

thamn i bougth just a x1650pro and waiting for it to arrive. So its no good in arma? My advice would be to try the card in a friends pc. maybe its just a software error

a bit offtopic but same question.. Will cinema 4d 10 be able to make models for Oxygen? It can export as .3ds but it wont open up in o2light... just crashes without any error. Any advice on C4d? Edit: even porting models doesnt work. open c4d model in 3dsmax demo, make editable mesh, export .3ds... same crash

why doesnt arma have normal lightning every other light than the sun has no shadows and looks like a cube. Is it really impossible that the engine could have shadows? Shadows would make night time missions a lot more realistic.

are you sure this happens only during arma? no signal should mean that the monitor/display has no connection to the graphics card. check the cables but if its really only in games then there is something seriously wrong with your graphics card

just checked it. aiming at the turret the rocket hit at ~120 meters. over that it hit only the ground

turn everything off when patching... any app could make the patcher easily unstable. just dont do ANYTHING during patching and keep hitting retry. I had 3 errors during first try but retry always worked. edit: when you get some error with a file and retry wont help then copy it over from the dvd.

your graphicscard doesnt have 2.0 shaders and it asolutly no use trying to run arma with it... it would be 1fps with lowest settings. sorry but you gotta get a new one
