Oh yes! The strange feeling when you ran one of them and came to the conclusion that someone for example actually implemented a wolfenstein-engine on a C64 and the whole thing was not bigger then 56k... If you ever wondered what these kind of guys are up to now, look here.

Here you go: It came from the desert music Well it's midi and there is at least one sample from the orig. amiga mods mapped incorrect but ... who cares. Another one that would make a great mod in OFP like the suggested Midwinter and It came from the desert: Who am I? (If you ever played it you will recognize it in an instant, you heard that tune all the time while playing)

That would be Rocket Ranger: Another one from Cinemaware like Wings, It came from the Desert and Defender of the Crown. My all time favourites, happy to see most of them already mentioned: -F18 Interceptor -Turrican (always liked the first game best) -Eye of the beholder -every single adventure  from Lucasfilm -most of the Sierra Adventures, especially SpaceQuest Series -Syndicate -Stuntcar Racer -Lemmings -Civilization -Moonstone -StarFlight2 (they don't make games like that anymore...) -Might&Magic II (I never finished the last battle until years later on the last day of december in 1999 with the help of my old amiga with a heat error, my old save disk, a disk mon, a few sheets of paper and a PC with WinUAE) This was a C64 sim game never released for amiga (i think) i saw at a friends place and the reason I wanted to own a computer myself: -Destroyer

They did not only asked them politely. As far as I heard JP's own cartoonists were ordered to hand in something. And what do you do if you don't like your task? You make fun of it. At least 3 of the cartoons fall in this category: The one with "JP made me draw this" and those depicting someone who cannot (Not even if you squint and close your eyes fast) be mistaken for Mohammed: He's wearing glasses, has blonde hair and no beard at all. Compare him to a photograph of the mentioned author if you haven't done that already. So at least the drawers of these cartoons quite obviously refrained from drawing Mr. M. and made fun of the job they had to do. In fact you can go an and relativate the meaning and importance of all those cartoons and I would if we where to talk about these cartoons itselves. Why should we? Nobody is talking about them anymore probably no one ever has. We are up to the ankles into a quagmire of dialectics an casuistics and fog is coming up.

Finally some one comes up with that phrase! After the previous CIA-Jews-Conspiracyâ„¢ Superhits for example Holocaust, 911, London Bombings now this one featuring Evil-Danish-Cartoonistsâ„¢! Coming up: CIA-Jews-Conspiracyâ„¢ (feat. Evil-Danish-Cartoonistsâ„¢ and other scapegoats we make up as we go along) in: - The Hadj-Stampede 2006, 2005, etc. - Afghanistan Earthquake - Bombings at Torino and during Soccer Wold Cup - Guy-falls-off-danish-embassy (a short film) - Stealing all important arab inventions since Al Geber - Missing socks I can hardly wait

There already is one, c. pg. 42 or click here -
Any updates on this one? Or is it suspended because of all the other things on your schedule shinkansen (pirate ships, pacific war, etc.)? You seem to be one of the busiest modders out there

Normals are a normalized (i.e. length 1) vectors calculated from polygon vertices to stand upright on polygons. They are used for determing shadings, reflections and other light relevant things. Think of them as a directions without a positions ("north" vs. "north of london "). So if you optimize the geometrical data you change the vertices from which the normals have been calculated and a normal which should point now for example "northnorthwest" is still pointing "north". So you have to recalc the normal vectors anytime you change the geometrical structure if this is not done automatically during the optimization process. After recalcing the normals are facing the correct directions, lighting can be calculated correctly and the model appears smoothed. For further information try googling gouraud and phong shading algorithms.

Looks beautiful except for one thing: This is a ww2 scenario right? As far as I know the first containers were developed and used in the 1950s or later so one would not expect seeing them in an 1940s harbour. Please think about replacing them with boxes or something

@miles: please release it! maybe someone else will do the do/help with the time consuming exchange north vs. south part. -
Using satellite data is quite possible via the usual Microdem>Terragen>Wilbur>WRP import way. Problem is that you'll come up with a very flat terrain and will have to do a lot of editing. If you would really import let's say africa for a single 50km island without the other seven continents, the highest elevation (Mount Kilimanjaro) would be about 35m high and occupy the whole of virtual Tanzania at it's base... Nevertheless a few islands with totally different flavor on one map would be something Â

Quest for Glory I, the first one, not the remake (look at the title bar...) . I think it is the Amiga version, but that is just guessing: the old sierra adventures look almost(?) identical on the PC. You were right with Space Quest, Part II Vohaul's Revenge that is, a few screens after the beginning

Amiga Wings of Fury, correct  Anyone remember this one?
