great however I don't understand why BIS is not doing the VRAM flush automatically. They could detect if your character is idle, check the VRAM usage and flush. Doing it manually is not very good programming.

not only. the contrast is not natural in 1..08. BIS said they increased the contrast of light. I think it was a wrong decision. The rendering is not natural anymore (my LCD is hardware calibrated) and sometimes it is even "painful" to watch the scene (too much black with the HDR / hard to see things). Very disappointed.

attn BIS, a favor Please change back the contrast of the light like it was in 1.07. There's something wrong with the contrast and colors in 1.08.

the securom 7001 error is usually resolved by doing the registry fix (link is on the first post of this topic). Is there any exception ?

the latest securom fix released today JUNE 22 works for the European DVD version (!! At last! Thanks securom. *Updating first post.

the latest securom fix may work for Atari users (and a hotfix is in the works) however it doesn't work at all for European DVD users (published by 505 games). Just to clarify.

if you do not get a blue screen or display driver error report after the automatic reboot you may have a temperature problem.

well, I have bad news. The only solution to get it working that I found was to install XP PRO SP2 (I had XP HOME) - installed XP PRO 2 in a specific directory (not /windows) so I may start again XP HOME and copy some files. - installed xfi drivers - installed nvidia drivers - installed arma 1.04 - installed arma 1.05 - installed arma 1.08 Launched 1.08 and it works. Then, I have downloaded all updates and fixes from microsoft update. Still working. So here's the sacrifice: re-install all other softwares and licenses on the new windows. It didn't work for some people (maybe the windows updates must be processed AFTER the installation of ARMA - anyway try to launch 1.08 just after graphic / sound drivers and before installing new software). Looks like Securom has a bad entry somewhere in the registry (I just hope it is not due to the beta patch 1.07 released by BIS) THANK YOU VERY MUCH SECUROM ! Â

it will only fix the problem when people receive a "no disc error". There is still no fix at all for the no boot/no error issue. One week now without any support.

right click on the shortcut then send the file to support@securom.com. Had the same response Wednesday from Securom ("but will need to consult our developers to offer a solution.")

yes it is now ridiculous specially that we do not see any announcement or help from BIS for days. Looks like they are ignoring us. Of course we paid our copy when some pirates are probably playing with 1.08 already.
