  1. For starters, BIS has to make a stable update and get all their problems/bugs worked out. I did that little C-5 Conversion in 1.02 and when 1.05 was released it stopped working, so even if we are to get tools, the next update might render all that hardwork useless becasue the coding in the game changes around and then OFP models that potentially could have been converted, become useless. Thats why I scrapped my *UNOFFICIAL* F-15, B-2 and C-5 Conversions. (That and because I just didn't feel like emailing and asking for permission to release.) But first the game MUST be fixed completely before any work should be done.

    Fastroping Addons Thread

    If i were you, id make it so that its only a script, unless you are planning on adding a winch or rope attach point otherwise its not really necessary to make a whole new model, plus itl be easier to implement into game play. But what I wanted to bring up is somewhere in the first page, somebody mentioned the rope swaying from the wind, now I don't know too much about the military's equipment but from what I understand the ropes on the blackhawk are pretty thick and itd probably take a pretty decent gust to move em', but im not inferring that its like a fireman pole. I may be wrong so if anyone has any experience or common knowledge about this then please share.

    Pilot's seating

    Ok, for almost every plane that I TRY converting over from ofp I always seem to run into the same problem, when i try getting into the plane, my character sits much higher than where he should be, i tried moving around the pilot proxy with the BX gatebuilder tool. but when I choose to begin in the aircraft, he sits where he should be, but his hands are sticking out as if hes holding a rifle. I tried in the config file where it says driverAction = ManActCessnaPilot; it was originally A10 pilot but that made no difference.

    can somebody try to create a Fighter Pilot? http://www.ofpbase.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=455 http://screenshots.filesnetwork.com/15/potd/1180816320_23.jpg leaning more towards the second picture, minus the guitars and drums but i saw one a while back when i played ofp, im not sure if it was a BAS addon but you could toggle the lens to go up and down and it actually blocked out the sun if i can remember correct, but it did somewhat contrast the image a little bit, that would be a real treat to see that implemented into it

  14. A while back somebody posted an a10 addon which consisted of just a config file and basically it was for replacing all the mavericks on the a10 with gbu's instead. If someone can, please post a copy of how an ArmA weapon config should look like so I can continue with my WIP.

  18. it was in 1.05 and only worked for the blackhawks, but then bis commited suicide by releasing 1.07 beta and apparently the autorotation went bye bye. plus you need to be going straight for some reason in order for it to work. oh well

    ok, i saw a video online for VBS1, which of course is equivalent to operation flash point. In it i noticed that a black hawk managed to deploy a fast rope from it through the pilots command, now if thats possible in OFP, could that be a possibility for ARMA? Just curious, and not just an add on, Im talking a BIS update, just like how the Su34 was.
  20. ok, Im sure that most modders come across this problem, but what are you supposed to do when you try to convert an ofp model and the pilots position is different from where it should be?

    now question #2, how do you do that? if your referring to the config file for view setup, than i under stand but if otherwise than im stuck. this is my first addon and im trying to learn as much as i can from this.

    Im trying to convert a model over from OFP but something always happens that stops me, the animations never seem to work. When I look back at the BE-32K as a source of reference I have noticed a category called skeletons, now Im really confused as to what I would put in that place. so if anybody can help me, please do.
