    I have the same card and my game runs beautifully except for an occasional freeze.

    Make sure your texture settings are on Normal, not high. This makes a big difference. my settings

    Terrain detail - high

    Objects detail - normal

    texture detail - normal

    shading detail - high

    Postprocess effects - high

    Anisotropic filtering - very high

    shadow detail - high

    antialiasing - normal

    blood - high

    running 1680x1050x32

    view distance 4058

    16:10 wide screen

    Im running Vista 32


  2. also random freezing problem here too.

    Asus Striker II Extreme

    2 gigs ram

    Intel E8500

    Asus gx2 card

    Game will play for 30 minutes, sometimes 1 hour then freeze solid requiring hardboot. Noticed it can be dependent on addons. Tried the HIfi sound mod and it froze consistently until removal. Thinking it may be sound issue.


  3. Great thanks for the update Killswitch. Will you all be substituting CEX with a home grown program or just doing without. Also I love the missions you guys do but can never get them. Do you have a mission download area on your site? In my opinion this is the best mod available as a complete system. I use it with CEX and DAC all the time and it works great though I get the occasional game freeze(have to reboot to clear) once in a while. I dont think its related to the mod, more of an Arma problem with Vista I think. I watch what you, Jinef, and Terox do closely because I feel you guys have an excellent understanding of how this game works and you create the best combination of realism and playability. I wish I could join you all in your gaming but your hours of play dont match my availability. Keep up the good work.

    Great job on this mod. Its one of the only ones I use right now because it is so complete. Couple of questions on the latest version (368)

    1. CEX removal. Permanent? Are you all using it in a separate folder?

    2. What are the crew served arma weapons? MG's?

    3. Are the USMC Arma units included?

    4. What is Math_armaeffects?

    5. Why are islands moved to zcommon?

    Finally have you all run into game lock up issues with esp and Vista 32?

  7. Thanks for the reply emsi. After some research it looks like the command triggerattachvehicle does not cause the trigger to move with the vehicle it just assigns the unit that will activate the trigger. Unless Marek or Suma have any other references to this or can somebody further clarify. Is it possible to get a trigger to move with a vehicle so everytime I come within the assigned trigger radius it activates.

    What I tried was this

    I created a trigger called mrutrig with the activation statement

    [] exec â€EMSI_Data\EMSI_UAV_console.sqsâ€

    then I created a unit name MRU

    then in another trigger kicked off with a radio alpha I put in the activation statement

    mrutrig triggerattachvehicle [mru]

    My assumption is when I approach the unit it should activate mrutrig


  8. Ok got this system working with great success using the mru and the predator. Great job

    Now I want to make the MRU more mobile. Is this possible. I tried making a radio operator the MRU but the system only executes on a stationary trigger right now, is that correct? Can you assign it to a moving object?

    I use this system with CEX and DAC and it works great other than the fact that I have to command the battle from a stationary location because the mru doesnt move.

    Also will we be able to lase targets?


  9. Trying to get this system to work. Ive created a mission with a cone set as the mru. Im using the rq1 and have named it predator. I have a trigger that executes the script and the console pops up. when I click on View Recon nothing happens. Ive got the description.ext and other files in my mission folder. How do I get it to work.


  10. Getting the out of memory crash to desktop with a mission I created. It seems to be reproducable but Im still checking. Im using the following mods

    -mod=@dbe1;@esp;@Cex;@ffaa;@dmasmoke -nosplash -nomap.

    System is

    intel E8500 3.1 ghz

    2 gigs ddr3 ram

    Asus Striker II extreme Mobo

    Asus 9800gx2 video card

    Vista 32 Ultimate

    WD 500gig drive.

    Arma Version 1.14

    Latest nvidia drivers

    Ive set a mission using DAC and CEX with a full company of marines with 4 aav7(hence the FFAA mod). I have 3 zones and one spawn zone. When the zones activate the game crashes. When I remove 1 zone it runs fine. I Im definitely running into a unit count memory barrier.


  11. Does the vehicle have to be declared in CEX as a group or can it just be an empty vehicle on the map. Also the troops keep disembarking when I tell the vehicle to move.

    Update

    I got the vehicles to work by declaring the crew and them moved them into the vehicle upon mission startup. Now I can assign the vehicle as transport.


  12. Two new questions about CEX

    1. There is an option for waypoints to "wait for" x number of minutes or wait for a "signal". How do you use the signal option.

    2. Getting troops to load/embark. Can someone explain how to use this option. Does it function in the game. The troops keep bailing out of the vehicle when it moves.

    Also my error listed in posts above I believe is related to mouse movement and may be a function of my system having problems with the usb ports. Will continue to check.


  13. Ok another Vista user here. In 32 bit mode. Picked up AA again to load on my new machine. Install went great. Patched to 1.12.

    Every now and then my system randomly locks upwhile playing. Doesnt crash to desktop, it totally locks up and have to reset to get out of the game. Its a new system and has the latest drivers. Ive put a couple of posts up on the forum trying to identify issues. I know a buddy of mine also bought a new machine and installed AA and notices the same problem. Random lock up.

    e8500 3.5 ghz intel

    Asus Striker II extreme mobo

    2 gigs ocz ddr3 ram not overclocked

    500 gig HD

    Asus 9800 gx2 card

    Onboard sound with EAX and hardware accel. disabled in game.

    running esp and CEX mods only(along with beta and DBE1) with -nosplash -nomap


  14. My system is consistently locking up playing with the CEX mod. No apparent reason. After about 10 minutes it freezes

    Running 1.12

    System

    Intel E8500 3.5 Ghz

    Asus 9800gx2 video with latest nvidia drivers

    Vista 32 bit

    500 gigs hard drive

    Turned of sound acceleration due to stuttering in editor interface.

    Tried to run this mission and all is did was crash the game with an out of memory error. Any Ideas

    On a side note.

    Game also locks up using CEX with fewer groups as well. Had to disable hardware acceleration and EAX sound. Kept getting a clicking noise in my headset.
