  3. Hi. Im working on a mission that requires the players to clear most of a large town occupied with enemy combatants to complete an objective. I want the objective to tick after a certain percentage of enemies are eliminated (Ie. 80%). I thought to see this info posted before, did the search but couldnt find the topic. Any help - much appreciated!

    WWII folly

Nice mission. Have a few gripes/suggestions after testing it: Mods used: -i44demo + normandie island loaded as separate mod folder -Modsky (modified Modulsky). AI placement: Imo you have put them in very good places, and I think your effort to create a large battle can be seen on this map. The problem is that enemies are really spread out, making it more of a nuisance to run there, shoot them, run here shoot them.... Id like to see more AI attacking/defending each town to make use of those well placed MG42s....but OFP has its limitations on how many AI can be on a battlefield (lag). My suggestion is to have a more CQB. The towns on Normandie are large and have very nice structures to place enemies in/around. I guess the artillery will need to be balanced to not make the map too easy. Reinforcement/Counterattack: When I played this enemy reinforcements were often to late/too early to arrive. It didnt "feel" like reinforcements. My suggestion is, for example, to have a German half-track rushing in and disembarking troops. Objectives: The mission had 5 objectives, with similar if not same type of attack. Liberate the town and defend against reinforcements. A little variety of objectives is my suggestion. Id agree with everything you said on your beta test. The freindly reinforcements did not join my squad either. I think that ECP would enhance this mission a lot although I didnt use it this time. I really like the realistic part of the mission, and how enemies are everywhere - you cant waltz through each town or even on the way to a town. My suggestions are mostly on gameplay. Overall, I think it has a potential of a really fun mission that should also be converted for multiplayer. Nice work! Regards, exec

    WWII folly

I didnt see winter everon on kegetys site, so heres an alternate link: http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.p....page=12 (if you dont have cookies enabled click on 'islands' on the ofp.info homepage and it should be on the 13th page, 8th one from the top) I went through ofpec.com but on this forum there was not even a link for download. I like the use of counterattacks or reinforcements in missions. I would suggest grouplinkII by Keycat (toadlife). I think you have used this on your 'Marine Expeditionary Force' mission. You can always modify it to best fit the type of counter/reinforcement, and it helps the randomization of the enemy units. Hoping to download this at some point, good luck with the mission. EDIT: needed to log in first, then the download link appeared. Testing now...

Looking forward to play it...but the link for the mission download does not work (I guess that ofpec is being updated atm).

    Aquilair beta

I really like this addon, and I know a few others do too - they just dont know how to say it. I've tried this addon both on the editor and on the multiplayer dedicated server: it runs flawlessly. The balance of the Aquilair is great, the wheels turn, and if you turn off the engine while flying it glides quite nicely - an interesting way to approach an enemy occupied town. It also works well on the scenic mission as its not going too slow/fast , so a good addon to tour new areas/islands or even scout places to make a battle on your next map. The CD player can be scripted into a mission but having it there facilitates the process. One of the small bugs that I think was squashed in the updated version is the when the Aquilair is destroyed, it continues to make that crashing sound. (Ie. Similar sound to when you crash any helicopter/plane into forest/building). Maybe its problem with OFP physics, but it hasnt happened to me yet on this version. Thanks BlackJack, and I hope you continue making nice addons.

    When The World Ends mision

At the very start of the last objective: Operation Splinter. Its right after the cutsene of the radio in from the jeep for the two dead guards ("Fydor"), and before embarking the helicopter to destroy radar and silo. edit: It was 370, not 372 - Ill try to depbo and find out where it is from. Here is the screenshot: http://www.filelodge.com/files/hdd8/201887/resource370.jpg Its a minor bug - just an error message actually. The mission will still play after clicking 'ok'. I dont think you should change anything for the difficulty of being spotted patrol boats - players should make use of the UAV and plan their movements accordingly. I think the max height is good, gives some space for movement while youre dodging trees. Max speed is fine, I would have it a little higher since I like flying fast - but thats a matter of opinion. Again, it is still the best single player mission I've ever played, period.

    When The World Ends mision

The best ofp SP mission I've ever played. The cinematics were amazing. Great camera movements, better than watching a movie. After playing this, its hard to go back to other maps as this was a work of perfection - congratulations on a mission that couldnt be any better. There were only two minor bugs that I encountered while playing the mission and was on the last objective. I received the 'resouce title 372 not found' before the last objective started. When rescueing the CIA agent, the cutscene triggered before all enemy soldiers were killed. The first bug didnt cause any problems, and after retrying the rescue twice the cutscene worked without pilots being shot by stray enemy soldiers. Dont let this stop others from downloading, as its still is a perfect mission, especially if you like flying helicopters. The plot (from what I gather) is partly based on a Tom Clancy novel, and portrays an excellent storyline. Im trying not to write anything about the mission as I wouldnt want to ruin it for others. The scripting is excellent along with the use of addons - for those of you who still get errors, try loading a mod folder with the addons that are mentioned in the readme. (For the links, replace http...[gamezone] with [gamepark], as ofp.info recently changed their homepage).) This is OFP at its best, download it now if youre still thinking to download - you will not regret it. Thanks Gaia, Silver Falcon and Munch as well as all the makers of the mission - a great work of art! exec

Cope's Revenge by Celoush: http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=8827 OFP goes spaghetti western. Interesting scripts, nice cutscenes and good music. A short, single-player map but one of the most enjoyable missions Ive played.
