First of all, comparing OFP to BF1942 is baaad And second of all, I agree that OFP's netcode is a little lacking. The game's still playable though, even with a few warping issues. OFP's design is much slower pace and a little lag doesn't make as much difference as it does in more action-oriented games.

I just did a test ingame with the standard BIS HMMWV with 3 guys sitting inside while I shot at it with my AK74 from a few feet away. It survived 4 mags and an additional launched grenade, and even after that everyone inside still made it out alive.

BRDM isn't exactly a tank, either. Also, from what I recall the HMMWV's crew inside can't be shot from the outside and it takes a grenade or 2 usually to kill one. Seems good enough to me.

PBRs can obviously be used in other places than rivers, it's shallow hull and jet propulsion let it go anywhere the water isn't deep enough for other boats.

I don't understand why people are so suspicious of Punkbuster, it kills cheats and that's that It doesn't increase your ping, at certain intervals it just sends a screenshot and a few game details off to the PB main server to ensure your're not cheating. The only effect this has is a 1-second slowdown but that's about it. It's installed automatically because it works piles better if it's built into the game and not run as a seperate executable.

Do you have to open the bay manually or does it open automatically?

Works for me And my suggestion is to have a few less rocks and a few more bushes, otherwise it looks nice And a sidewalk and a few trees could hep in the city to make it look more inhabited.
