I'm wondering if something like this is possible: For those who remember Ghost Recon 1 on the PS2, it's a directional compass that shows the direction that an enemy is in (north, south, east or west from where you're facing). It simply lets you know that there is an enemy in a certain direction, and nothing more. I've created several missions that resemble the co-operative firefights in Ghost Recon - 20-30 enemies spawn and patrol the map, and I'd love this to be a feature. It would function by displaying five different PNG images; the base circle, then four separate images (the yellow parts) for north, south, east and west. The images would then appear or disappear depending if an enemy is within that direction. However, I have absolutely no idea on how I'd approach this. Essentially, I need to create a script that displays a specific PNG image on screen if an enemy is to the north, south, east or west of the player. Can this be done?
