I dropped all mods, reloaded steam / ARMA III. Boot camp / campaign are working again. I'll be in campaign and tutorials for a while before trying to join a server. Thanks again.

Thanks, I’ll start there this morning. Last night I started playing around with the workshop and subscribing to different mods, so the errors keep changing. At the moment I can get boot camp to start but no voices come through from the NPC’s. I’m going to uncheck all mods, start from vanilla as you suggested, and load required mods as I move along.

Hello, I originally posted in General but was advised to post here. In short, I am completely lost on how to set the game up again. Is there a how to section for returning / new players? My son had me set up years ago but he no longer plays and I'd like to get back in the grind. I currently have steam loaded with all steam mods checked and loaded, but I still get errors when trying to play boot camp and when trying to log into any server. There was an easy to use patcher years ago where you simply selected what maps/mods you wanted to load but I can't seem to find it. I'm using a new laptop so I am essentially starting from scratch again. If anyone could point me in the right direction please let me know. Thanks

Hello, My son and I used to play ARMA years ago. My son had set everything up for me to play with him. Back then, we used to load mods/maps from withsix.com, or something like that. Regardless, I have since purchased a new laptop, I have lost the old setup, and he hasn't played in years either. I have steam loaded on my new machine and I have checked all mods available from steam. When I load boot camp to get reacquainted I can only get through the first 4 missions before getting an error message to proceed to the next mission. I also get error messages when trying to select any server to play on. From my old experience, I can tell the errors are from missing mods/maps. In short, I hate to exhaust anyone's time trying to help an ol man out. I am sure there is a section for (dummies) getting started somewhere but I can't find it. If anyone could simply link/point me in the right direction to any such area I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you
