  4. The latest Arma hotfix (released today) has added support for rotating wheels on the Tanoa locomotive. If you fire up ATS you can see them in action!

  10. I think one add-on will work. Only if the mission includes the new train models would the add-on be required client side. It's up to server owner they want to force clients to install it..

  17. Clients having the mod installed won't cause any issues. Yes, sounds like a good feature to be able to disable the trains included by default on the map. Haven't been able to figure out a solution for walking - only standing still.

  19. No special requirements for locos or cars - if you have any that could be used, let me know. Trying to put together a separate client-side mod with additional tracks and cars.
  20. I've seen that happen before when placing custom tracks - I think it's caused by a change I made to the termination piece. Will take a look to see if I can figure out what's going on.

  23. If anyone has tried this out on a MP server, let me know. I've heard some reports that when you get in the train, it lets you speed up/down, but the train doesn't move. Haven't been able to reproduce this yet.
  24. Update: This has been released: Working on a little mod for the Tanoa map so we can use the trains. Will be sever-side only like my other mods. Planned Features: Multiplayer support. Mod only required to be installed on server Uses vanilla train and track models. However, it will have the ability to add support for additional train cars / engines. You will be able to drive the static trains already on Tanoa (not placed via editor). However, driving one will make a copy of the existing static train. Driving the train will be done in 3rd person (see videos for example of 3rd camera movement - you can also zoom in / out with mouse wheel) Can automatically detect and follow tracks placed on a map. Multiple cars. Attach by backing up into a car on the track. Detach by getting out of the train and walking over to the car to detach. Multiple cars & inclines causes slower train acceleration. You can add multiple engines to increase acceleration. You can ride in other cars (same type of 3rd person camera as driver) When approaching a track split, you can hold left/right to direct the train (works in both forward and reverse) Some sort of damage handling (e.g. hitting other trains, driving off end of track, etc) Ability to jump out of train
