  1. How do I toggle the isometric '2D' view in Eden? Sometimes it seems to change back and forth spontaneously, both in my game and in the few videos on Youtube.

     

    I see that Vertical Mode keybinding and menu option, but it doesn't actually do anything.


  2. Agreed. I personally preferred the erratic gun movement in Arma II since it was unpredictable and just felt more real.

    Man, you have just expressed a wholly original thought, never shared by any other member of humanity before. 

     

    It's what many artists and writers spend their whole lives striving towards. Congratulations.  :lol:

     

    (Seriously, for years the consensus around here was that sway should be a predictable figure-8 that mimics breathing.)


  3. I keep getting failures and script errors when trying to bandage.

     

    Perhaps 1/3 of the time the bandaging option doesn't work, and I get the following RPT items instead.

     

    I just disabled all my other mods, and the problem persists.

    And while I'm on the subject, throwing grenades in VR floods my RPT log with this:

  4. I just launched ArmA on dev branch after many patches, and something bizarre has happened to all the game's tracer rounds.

     

    They are all invisible in daylight now! Not a single rifle or machinegun has tracers that can be discerned in daylight, although they are as bright as ever during the night. Not even tank's cannon rounds have tracers now. The RPG is about the only weapon that does, but modded launchers such as RHS AT4s do not.*

     

    Surely this isn't intentional? If this is a known bug with the current dev branch, please link to the bugtracker and I will happily vote. If it's just me, then a mod can use this to troubleshooting.

  5. Did ACE remove the subtitles from giving orders to AI? If so, that was a bad move, fixing what wasn't broken from A2.

     

    When I'm controlling AI in SP (yes, some of us do use ACE in SP), I need to be able to get feedback on the orders I've given. Sometimes this is critical. If I use the switch unit feature, I need to hear if the newly-controlled AI team leader has given some retarded command. Please return the subtitles for the silent orders and radio messages to/from AI. It was a perfect system.


  6. Holy balls, guys. I leave for a few months and the amount of content enters orbit. This is gobsmacking. The line of vehicles in the demo mission goes farther than my view distance.

     

    And the ERA blocks? That shit is groundbreaking. Also the best nuke FX I've seen (although I did seem to get one dud where the flare went off, but only two buildings were destroyed, with no mushroom cloud).

     

    Best of all for me is the armor stuff, though. You're recreating the most important part of ACE 2, with turrets popping off and everything.
