    Arma3 Videos

Hey guys, Me and a couple of friends have been playing ArmA for a bunch of years and now we've started uploading videos. We kinda pride ourselves in the idea that we really play arma the way it's meant to be played: difficulty settings highest, unrealistic features (map icons, 3rd person, etc, disabled), 1 life only missions, recreating realistic scenarios, applying chain of command and so forth. Link to the channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChOpyp5AkVEW6mWKOKpnZmg This post is about sharing the videos to hopefully inspire other players of the ArmA series to increasingly challenge themselves more, by giving an example of how it's done. Also, wether you're new to the ArmA series or not, i'll gladly help you find out how to make playing ArmA the most realistic and immersive military gaming experience you can imagine by pointing you towards the right communities, guides or even giving some personal bootcamp training, so feel free to drop me a PM if you're interested in any of that. Make ArmA, not war!

    Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) [v0.90]

One of the best mods ever made, by a fantastic team of dedicated hobby-developers. Very cool and detailed stuff.

"Opening up Arma 3 to paid user-made content" - How?

To be honest i applaud this kind of stuff. I remember taking out two years of my life to create a mod for a game which provided a persistent 24/7 role play server with staff active around the clock. Back then when we asked for donations we got a lot of shit for it, but if you really think about it, a group of people spending their time, money and skill should be able to get/ask for support. I'm weary of stuff that -requires- payment to play though, that would chip away at the modding as a phenomenon i believe.
