I don't think you could change these, but I wish you could because it makes the map unusable when you use a joystick setup.

The bottleneck for the game is the CPU processing. Migrating to dx12 would have little to no effect on that. A big issue is the game is not effectively using multiple cores, rather than the graphics API being used.

Keep in mind the lack of decorations/random accessories inside houses is to make the game not lag even more than it already does. There aren't beds, decorations, tables, or toilets inside the houses, but if there were then there would be that many more models for our PCs to process. I really don't think it would make a difference in the gameplay experience considering the effect on performance it would have.

So I noticed that if your pilot gets shot in the blackfoot for example and you take controls, that you cannot deploy flares. Do you guys think this is intentional or a bug? I was thinking that if you had access to the controls you would be able to deploy flares.

Yea, I also hope it's not intentional. Would be pretty disappointing.

So i've always wanted to get a joystick for flying helicopters in any game I play just because i've always been fascinated by helicopters and wanted a better experience than just mouse/keyboard. I recently found out that I should get (or at least from what I read) Joystick/Throttle/Pedals for a decent experience. I recently tried the advanced flight model with mouse/keyboard and found that it was just really awkward, and i'd like to be able to get a set that will make it more possible for me. I don't have a crazy budget. I'd like to keep it under $300. I want something primarily for functionality and i'm afraid that i'll get it and it'll end up being too focused on cosmetics rather than how well it performs. If anyone has any recommendations for either pedals or joystick/throttle combos I would love to see your input. Thanks for reading. Also, I would like to eventually try out flight simulators which is a big reason I want these.

Thanks everyone for your responses. They're all very appreciated. I ended up going with the CH Joystick/Throttle/Pedals. Throttle wont be here until between the 13th-30th so hopefully sooner than later i'll get to try them out!

After doing some more research, CH products seem to have good reviews. Has anyone tried out either this throttle or joystick or know anything about if they work well with arma 3? Just wondering if there's a specific reason for this. I own an ak47 and love it, but in arma 3 there doesn't seem to be an ak47 or even any russian rifles. Anyone know if there's a specific reason that it isn't included?
