    Warning to all life mod players out there!

    Exactly, if someone wants money from their community, make a drop dead awesome product, put it up for anyone to play and let people give money VOLUNTARILY. BIS do very much care about the game, but their care ends at Development. They don't cater to the community and bend to whatever is popular which is unfortunate. This monetization thing isnt making matters any better either.
  2. As you know, Back in the start of A3L, they charged $30 for people to have their application 'expedited' which resulted in a huge financial benefit. Caiden, now known as "Kane" from ArmA 3 Project Life is doing the same thing again!! Please just think before you throw your hard earned money at these money hungry pricks. I know BIS are careless towards the fact that their game has turned into a money/drama aids fest, so its up to minimize that as best we can. Im not trying to start shit up, I just want a public announcement out there that this greedy person is trying to take your money again people. Like many of the older players of the game, I want to see our community be about playing the fucking game rather than fucking eachother's wallets.

    Terrain Issues... Please fix already BIS!!

    Yeah I feel ya. There are WAY too many problems I would rather see fixed than have a big update like Tanoa. Small things like dying when running down stairs, this terrain shit, AI being able to pick me off from like 1-2km away with a feckin assault rifle etc. no game is without its issues, but ArmA has more issues than what I can count, and BIS would rather release new broken stuff instead of fixing the old broken stuff.   4. So today, I was playing a wasteland game, and I got into a long distance firefight with some prick. Anyway, Me and him were going at it at distances of between 700-1000m, but neither of us were landing shots on eachother because there was always some kind of invisible terrain between us. For instance, if I zeroed to 800m, and fired at him, the bullet would make a dirt kick-up right in front of his face, even when bullets obviously should have hit him, they just stopped seemingly right in front of him. It wasn't until he moved down into the valley a bit more I could actually land a shot on him. My problem is the terrain taking away grass(which makes grass really pointless as most gunfights in arma are done at range), and the fact that the terrain changes detail after about 300-400m it seems. This has been a bad problem since arma 2, but I would have expected it be fixed in ArmA 3. It takes away any kind of fun as you are guessing whether or not the next shot you take will hit the target, or just land in their face.

    Animating a lightbar for vehicles

    I don't usually use A3L's stuff whenever I need to do lightbars, I find that good start hehe. You can do one of 3 things when I comes to Lightbars: 1) Use the A3L/Other people's stuff, and cut the work load down to defining selecitons; Unless you are able to edit the script itself, you really havent got much option as towards lighting, also uses script so in a crowded server environment, It may cause lag(Theoretically) 2) Use a model-based lightbar system, which is an animation set in the model.cfg; This one isn't script based and is optimal for a crowded server environment, But restricts your ability to create your own patterns. 3) Create your own stuff from the ground up, Which allows you to script the lightbar exactly how you would like it. I usually go with 2 because it allows me to view my lighting in Buldozer and allows for more options as far as showing and hiding go; If you wish to do #1 or #3 as what I can tell you are doing: 1) Make selections in OB 2) In the cfgModels.yourVehicleClass.sections[], Make sure all your selections go in there, as well as cfgVehicles.yourVehicleClass.hiddenSelections[] 3) Remember the indexes of your selections in the hiddenSelections[], for instance: hiddenSelections[] = {"camo1","light1","light2","light3"}; light1 - Index would be 1 4) When you want to show the selection use the following script: vehicleOBJ setObjectTexture[index,"PATH\TO\LIGHTBAR\TEXTURE.paa"]; Hope I helped, good luck.

  7. Hi all, this one is for the life modders haha. I am one of the main creators of the content at a Life Mod, obviously. Something happened where certain racial slurs were said, In front of 200 people, This view isnt shared by all of us, though I can admit I can be very controversial behind closed doors.
