  1. Announcement

    Hello everyone!

I have been quiet for quite a while now on the forums. The reason for this is that my studies take most of my time. Besides that I have to work on current class assignments and prepare for this semesters final work I also have two extra classes, because of my Erasmus trip to Turkey. So everyday day I go to college. Stay there during the classes and when I'm back I have to work extra to catch up with the rest of my group. After doing all this I'm no longer in the mood to work on the mod. This period will last till the next months end. After that my college will send me to do practice in one of the local radio/television business for another month. I'll see if I'll have more free time or less during that period, but I'll try my best to get back into modding.

Well he can use the SOTG one as a placeholder and in the meantime model one by the way :D

Anyway yeah it's a real shame that he left, so sad..but anyway back on topic

Yes those could be as a placeholder because I know that the community really wanted those uniforms

  3. Sad to see that roadrunner taking down all of his projects.

Before he started his JSOC mod I had intentions of using the Crye G3 uniforms from SOTG mod, but decided not to do it when he announced it. I could port those G3's for my mod and then work on adding different uniforms later.

    1. I have some feedback to offer which might be of help. The camo patterns for the caps seem oversized. This is especially noticeable with the multicam cap and to a lesser degree with the AOR 2 cap. As someone mentioned earlier the camopatterns for the helmets seem a bit oversaturated. While painted hardsurfaces will obviously not be exactly the same as cloth, overall the hues should be more or less similar (ref CAG with MC high cuts or whatever opscore calls them now :D and a SEAL).

    2. Finally, the AOR 1 texture is too bright and saturated. Yes, I realize AOR 1 colors are a point of contention around these parts, but currently they stand out a lot ingame. As you can see in different lighting conditions the AOR 1 pattern never seems to blend in with a sandy background, even though the AOR 2 pattern (both yours and sabre's) manages to do this to some extent. It become especially egrigious during heavy overcast conditions

    3. With regard to the clipping of non caucasion heads mentioned earlier. I think if you follow the dimensions set by BIS' balaclavas and bandanas you should be fine. These work with all phenotypes while still looking great.

    4. Also, could you perhaps include some form of prefix so that your addons are grouped together in the virutual arsenal? Right now the base pack and AOR extenstion are seperated. Just something like [MilGP], [MGP] etc.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. I will resize according patterns and play around more with the colors.

    2. AOR1 pattern will be adjusted for the next update

    3. Face shields won't be altered. I want them to have this slick look.

    4. I won't be adding prefixes. First of all, the names are already long enough. Secondly, there is already a way to sort gear by mods in arsenal so I don't see why prefixes are needed unless you have everything in one single mod folder.

Awesome!  I think you did a really nice job with the aor textures.  However, whenever I select the MMAC AOR2 Assaulter + belt in the VA, I keep getting this error:

    Cannot load texture: milgp_vests\textures\v_gear_01_aor2_co.paa.

All of the pouches and magazine covers are invisible.

I fixed the error now. For those who downloaded from Google drive and not from steam workshop just re download it again using the new link on the first page.

I think that the G3 Field pants are good, but the top does need a little help, the PCU could use a little work too, the creases and stuff in the fabric are kind of small and very pronounced, but the fleeces are good too though. Don't fix it if it isn't broke. Unless you were saying to completely start over with the reg G3, in that case, I'd advise against. I think it would be nice to have both for variety and for mixing. G3 pants and G3 field shirt, G3 field pants and G3 top. Anyways, love the pack and appreciate your work. Thanks and good luck.

I don't think you got the message correctly. I'm not reworking old uniforms I'm ditching what was done with the new G3 All Weather COMBAT set not the current FIELD set.

G3 Field and Combat sets are completely different types of uniforms.

Hello , nice update i follow your mod since the begining but the Ops Core (and the airframe) in multicam are to yellow when i put the ops core MC with all your gear in MC it's not the same so it's very .... strange !

    But good job !

Because it's not fabric the pattern colors look more vivid. But I have to agree with you that it is too yellow so I have fixed the colors a bit for the next update.

  8. UPDATE 1.7.1

A very small update meant as a preparation for AOR Extension release. Mainly fixing the AOR2 camo pattern and adding Multicam variants of Opscore and Airframe helmets.

    Changelog:

    Added Multicam OpsCore variants

    Added Multicam AirFrame variants

    Tweaked AOR2 textures

Download link as always on the first page.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

AOR Extension will be released today when I'll get a new collection of badass pictures from Direone.

I feel now is the time to go back and work on uniform and I have been thinking that I'm just gonna start all over again since I'm not feeling happy with current results. I'll also now go with the classic G3 Combat set uniform because I think this is what my mod needs the most for it to be even more appealing to others.

  9. This is message is not regarding the mod.

Me and the rest of my group who play Semi-MilSim Arma 3 are looking for a group to attach to play together. We are representing my country's SOF Combat Diver Service which is pretty much a copy of SEAL's. Our group is quite small consisting of around ~10 players and our time zone is GMT +2. We are willing to adapt to units rules, policies, mod list.

If you or you know who owns an unit and would like to have joint operations with people from different nation write me a private message and we could discuss more in teamspeak. Also it is possible to join us if you are from a small group and want to form a multinational task force. (Do not reply to the forum topic)

Sorry moderators for posting something like this.

  10. The reasons for separation are mainly the mod size would increase drastically and there would be a lot more variations where pretty much 80% of the Arsenal would be my stuff haha. Other than that some people don't actually care for some of the camo patterns. Especially if we are talking about AOR which is used by SEALs and SEAL's only.

At first I'll see how this expansion does and in the future I could probably extend it with other options such as the rest of the Multicam variants, ATACS.

  11. UPDATE 1.7

Probably one of the most anticipated update in a while now. New MMAC vest is finally here. As standard it comes in 4 camo patterns ("Ranger Green", "Khaki", "Coyote Brown", "Multicam") 7 different variations ("TeamLeader", "Grenadier", "Medic", "HeavyGunner", "Marksman", "Assaulter", "Light") and all of those variants except "Light" comes with belt option. Besides that I also added Tactical Glasses and Goggles separate from Face shields.

    Changelog:

    Added MMAC vest variants

    Added Tactical Glasses

    Added Goggles

Download link as always on the first page.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

The next "update" will be the release of the MilGP AOR expansion. It will be a separate mod that will only include texture files and will be dependent on the main mod. Now the discussion was only about the vests, but I have been thinking about including pretty much everything (opscores, caps and etc...) and the mod size wouldn't change that much (we're talking about 10-20MB difference) Let me know what you think.

I'm guessing (hoping) this will use the hidden selections to allow for multiple loadout/looks?

Looking good! Your quality of work is always impressive!

Unfortunately with the vests I don't do that. I create separate model for different variations

    3 hours ago, BigBadScot said:

By the way, which SF use MMAC?

There are two versions of MMAC vests. The traditional one can be seen on Eagle Industries website and the NSW version for the SEALS, which is the one I modelled just because there was not enough reference pictures of the original MMAC.

    2 hours ago, wsxcgy said:

A question regarding the separate addon for the AOR vests: will it also include the JPC and CIRAS in AOR, or will this extension be just the MMAC?

I intended it to be only MMAC, but I guess if community wants to see all the vests in AOR I could easily do that. Just tell me.

][some, thank you. Does it come with belt variants ?

Well not yet but it will just like every other vest.

    35 minutes ago, kromkastor said:

Wow nice new vest dude looks killer!

Will the new vest's also have a belt too like the JPC? Also one more question for you about aor2. I don't want to sound like rude but I find the aor2 rather dark at its current state. Just wanted to know if this is because you like the look of it or if I need to tweak my arma colour settings. (I run arma at base colour settings)

Thanks for making this mod and all the hard work you put in. Have a good one

I never really checked if AOR2 looks right or other camo patterns I use besides Multicam and plain color variants. I'll fix it then for the upcoming update.

Will you be adding Balaclavas and standalone Tactical Shades in the next coming updates?

I could add Kiory's balaclavas and with the same setups as face shields. Maybe not for the next update but yeah I can do that. And I'll do standalone Goggles and Tactical shades also then.

Great update, I love new backpacks. I found one or two bugs. I am sure the first one is a bug, but second one might be intentional. First one is when you wear face shield without shemagh, shemagh's shadow appears and the second one is the straps of backpack seems a little odd, like they are under shadow

Fixed the face shield shadow issue for the next update.

Second problem is that the strap and backpack are from different texture files and the difference between two colors are quite big. I'll try to fix the colors so it wouldn't be this obvious.

  16. UPDATE 1.6

1.6 Update will mark the return of the face masks under the new name "Face Shield". And they are coming back with even more variation options! Besides face mask there is a new backpack "Patrol" so far there is only one variation but more sure to come in the near future.

    Changelog:

    Added "Face Shield" masks

    Added "Patrol" backpack

Awesome mod Adacas! Thanks for taking the time to make it and keep it updated for us to use.

Anyone, ever since the latest update, I've been getting the following uniform error:

    "Cannot load material file

     milgp_uniforms\textured\u_g3_ field_shirt.rvmat"

Anyone else getting this or know what the problem is?

You must be using an older version of the mod. This was fixed in the last update.

Nope, you gotta use Adacas' uniforms. Cunico's (and by extension RHS' blufor models) work okay as well. Dont worry though, adacas said he'd focus on getting more uniforms out in the future.

To fix this whole situation is a massive workload. First I would have to fix all the vest which then means I have to fix all the lods for 28 different vest models. After that I would have to fix all my uniforms again to fit the new vests. Sorry it is not gonna happen and I'm better of just creating new Crye Combat Set myself.

    hey @Adacas,

in version 1.5 and 1.5.1 the signature's for the pbo's are invalid. maybe you gave us an old public key?

    Kind regards,

    Lucke

Not sure what mistake I left there but I'll try to come up with new update to fix this problem ASAP.
