  1. I actually made a version of DUWS for IFA3 a long time ago, if anyone is interested in bringing that up to date send me a PM. I would take a crack at it, but right now I'm more interested in making a CUP evolution mission and I haven't played with IFA3 in about a year or so.

    I'm hoping to have this mission ported to RHS Escalation on Chernarus and Takistan for my own personal use, as well as ACE integrated, is it okay with the author if I release these? Should I wait for the 1.0 release before doing this port work?
  3. I don't quite understand; I can run @CBA_A3 on its own with no crashes, and I can run @ace on its own with no crashes (though obviously the ace controls do not work), but if I run CBA and ace the game will always crash when trying to load a world. Yet another RPT from this issue
  4. It seems as though all the builds I've tried from this thread cause a CTD when trying to load any world even with just one player spawned on it. Any suggestions as to what causes this?

  6. I don't know if this is the place to do it, but today is the day that I'm releasing DUWS Modified for Iron Front ARMA 3. It's in somewhat of an early stage. There are some DUWS features that I'm not sure how to translate to the World War Two setting (read: most of the supports. Maybe truck transport instead of a helo taxi?) and there are still others (high command groups) that I haven't bothered with finishing yet. So, let's say it again: this is an early stage version. We'll call it a beta test. I do know that there are some issues. However, it should be stable and playable and it shouldn't cause script error or RPT spam, or at least none that wasn't already in DUWS. Don't bother reporting that the Task Force sometimes dies, or that enemy planes sometimes spawn in weird places. I know of these issues. They're not game-breaking, and will be fixed when I work on this again. Do report any other issues, feature requests, or just interesting notes you have about the mission. It features the first release of Fury145's manual zone placement script. Do you like playing on addon maps, but don't like your DUWS zones spawning in the corner, or in the middle of fucking nowhere? Then enable Manual zone placement in the server parameters. To use the feature, after selecting the mission options and pressing "Start," open your map and click on the locations where you would like a zone to be. Note: while the script is currently in a working and non-buggy state, it is not feature complete. Zones that are manually placed will not contain prefabs or have names apart from "Zone 1", "Zone 2", and etc. This will be coming in a future update. All credit for manual zone placement goes to Fury145. This mission is licensed as per Kibot's original instructions. Anyone is free to use, modify, and distribute this mission in a non-commercial way, provided that they give credit where credit is due. Mission credit goes to Kibot, BigShot, and Fury145, I only did what was needed to make it functional with IFA3. Credit goes to .kju and the IFA3 team for an awesome mod, go check them out! As you can see, there's still work to be done, however! Edit: If anyone wants a CUP version of Kibot's DUWS with more CP added, just post and I'll release it.

  9. I'm not particularly skilled, but I have made my own modifications of DUWS for my own personal use, and they tend to be really fun to use. I'd like to be able to share that with the rest of the DUWS playing community. So, any scripting help I could get for this would be very appreciated, as well as testers and feature suggestions. A couple of features I have in mind: 1: The ability to generate the zones by hand by clicking on the map, as when I use DUWS on maps like Chernarus and Takistan I get a bit annoyed by zones that generate halfway off the map, or in relatively meaningless locations (such as in a small clearing in a far off forest or a patch of desert far from any roads). 2: A version for Alduric's ARMA 3 Co-op Vietnam Mod, if anyone here plays that. ---------- Post added at 02:13 ---------- Previous post was at 02:09 ---------- I take no issue with donations either, in fact, I wish that content creators and mission makers would get more donations for all the trouble they go through to enhance the ARMA 3 community. However, I personally wouldn't engage in profiteering off of Kibot's mission, which is essentially what BigShot was doing.
  10. How supportive would you guys be of a new strain of DUWS Modified, using features and tweaks that I add to Kibot's original (so none of BigShot's work)? I propose this instead of distributing BigShot's mission, which could get me banned from the forums. I'm willing to make ports to popular mods like the CUP and RHS Escalation if no better ones have already been made. And I won't ask for a single cent of donations.
  11. I have copies of 1.75 if anyone needs them, as well as 1.75 with units from the CUP weapons pack added. Even though BigShot has no respect for Kibot's terms about redistributing the mission, I'll respect his terms and not distribute the CUP version.
