  1. I know they were, But i wanted to state my opinion to how they may be done to may things easier for those wanting to make their own Camo patterns
  2. Several Squads were sent in, they are SF. And working with SF in Iraq, they pretty much wear what they choose. I did QRF for a team in Mosul and not only did they had those bad-ass Pilot NVGs and a rocking stryker, one of them was rocking a WW2 Era Strum MK.2 And the fireteam you encounter was 3 Charlie 6 There were multiple teams from 3 Charlie sent as you were briefed in the 1st team. None had reported back. Either way, the Armor was painted dark green and sported new decals ODSTs belong to NavSpecWarCOM. Why would Army SPECWAR/Group Three troopers not be able to procure the gear. Especially sense the Multi-branch BDU allowed for the Attachment of the Extra Armor Plating of ODSTs as seen in this picture. Hell. Noble team, A Group of Spartans, was attached to SPECWAR/Group Three. The troopers would have the hook up of gear if they wanted it. It is also why they even knew about Noble's existence in the first place when Dr. Halsey didn't even know [/img] ---------- Post added at 17:09 ---------- Previous post was at 16:32 ---------- A epic picture I just took to make everyone's day [/img]
  3. Looks like Special Warfare Group Three also equipped themselves with dark green ODST Armor
  4. That is true. It's easier to see on the headgear itself. The CE original they wore straight gray. but H4 has the marines is Plain olive http://www.halopedia.org/images/f/f9/H4-UNSCMarineVariants.jpg ---------- Post added at 05:40 ---------- Previous post was at 05:34 ---------- @Scorch, The Landing wheels for the Pelican are beast, you can land a pelican going 150Kph and not damage the bird :p
  5. The books and Even the Wiki's have stated all Olive and all Tan Camo, and we used Olive from WW1 till the late 80's and when I was in Iraq, All the SF guys would come to the Chow hall in all Tan Jump suits and when we did QRF for them, they were still wearing the Tan Jumpsuits. So The UNSC having a All tan and All Olive fatigues is not out of the question. Especially if it is 1st contact to a planet and they don't know the exact camo that would fit it best, Hell they have all grey in Halo:CEA ---------- Post added at 21:49 ---------- Previous post was at 21:44 ---------- Spartans in all olive fatigues
  6. So I decided to do this article about the Multi-branch BDU because I've taken a ton of notes sense TEI and I figure I might put it all on the table now that I have enough Information, Lucky for me, Halopedia puts everything into better word then I do. So yay \o/ Just need to work off it and throw examples where they are due. I'll be putting my own notes down as "(Theron's Notes: Notes)" So Basically that is it with my thoughts on the Bottom. Take it, Leave it. But I would like the Devs to at least look the whole thing through and ponder on it a bit. Many Thanks. The GURU with to much time on his hands. Theron Alvord ---------- Post added at 21:05 ---------- Previous post was at 20:57 ---------- Did some fixes
  7. OMG, I FORGOT A CAMO COLOR SCHEME!!!!! I was going over my notes and the UNSC Army personal you encounter on the 1st Level "Winter Contingency" Are UNSC Special forces with their own camo color and halopedia is right. showing it now Special Warfare Group Three (SPECWAR/Group Three) Call Sign: 3 Charlie http://i.imgur.com/hbRWPsq.jpg Camo http://i.imgur.com/OiYpSB2.jpg All 3 had the same Color Scheme
  8. Looks like halo cannon guy was mistaken. Holly Tanaka was part of the UNSC Army. So the Universal BDU was still used by the army in the year 2556 http://www.halopedia.org/Holly_Tanaka ---------- Post added at 12:38 ---------- Previous post was at 12:04 ---------- Well I got debate going in halo waypoint. But it's a good camo for marines. They can use the same bronze chest piece and have Olive Green Fatigues. Reason why I bring it up. For that is what she is wearing http://www.halopedia.org/images/thumb/d/d7/HE17-ArmyBDU.png/355px-HE17-ArmyBDU.png (561 kB)
  9. Idk. Maybe cause it actually has the desenation of the apc varriant elephant that isn't on wiki's. And a few other things. Meaning that not everything in the book is on the wiki's The Halo: The Essential Visual Guide that came out after Halo 3 is out of date. But the halo 4 version is up to date and adds new information that isn't in the wiki's yet (just checked on halo nation and halopedia on several articles like the Elephant) have yet to include into their sources of information. So I think it is worthwhile for me to check it out and post stuff that I find relevant.
  10. Can you put out a list of known bugs so we don't report the same thing over and over again?
  11. You don't need it, think of OPTREB as TEI 2.0 ---------- Post added at 01:34 ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 ---------- Valve done fucked up http://www.pcworld.com/article/2914235/valve-now-allows-devs-to-charge-for-steam-workshop-mods-community-riots.html And the Sins of the Prophets Dev team are not happy about this either https://www.facebook.com/SinsoftheProphets?fref=ts Wow and the mod team only gets 25% and that is added to their steam accounts while valve pockets the rest http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/04/steam-workshop-lets-users-sell-mods-but-only-shares-25-percent-of-revenue/
  12. So I just bought the Halo 4 Essential Visual Guide. When it arrives, I'll start posting information that is on it about weapons and such
  13. It is a good Idea your control scheme. You never know So Halo Escalation EP. 17. Outer Colonies Unit totally get the shit end of the stick. It being the year 2556 and the Marine Unit wearing the Universal BDU from Reach/CEA and the ODSTs getting the H2A armor, Which the Halo Canon guy basically states is a really old model ODST armor. Looks cool though. But keeping with the Halo 4 visual model that the Outer colonies get the supplies last or kept out of date in case they defect to the Insurrection
  14. Never with me, It was always A to Raise and LB to lower. And I have that same scheme here on the MCC
  15. Depends on the control scheme you use, but the H2A hornet is way faster, in everything
  16. Here you guys go The Hornet from halo http://imgur.com/a/bcadJ The Halo 2 Anniversary, The Machine Guns fire off all three barrels and then swaps to the next 3. You can't notice for it fires so quickly, but if slow down, you can see Halo 3, Alternates between gun between shots Halo 4, Uses what looks like regular Chopper blades in the engine parts, but then its far in the background so as you'll see, isn't super High rezzed

    [WIP] Halo Covenant

Finally, done uploading all H2 Anniversary Covenant weapons http://imgur.com/a/w2Occ
  18. For what Armor, halo 3: ODST, the Marines had the M52B armor with the ODSTs having different armor then that of reach and two
  19. Wooo, Remastered ODST is looking amazing https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/4-21-15-halo-the-master-chief-collection-update-notes
  20. I had kinda the same Idea on this post http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?190567-Operation-Trebuchet-Total-conversion-mod-for-Arma-3&p=2921012&viewfull=1#post2921012
  21. Hooah, First team lives on [/img] ---------- Post added at 17:14 ---------- Previous post was at 17:08 ---------- Zero, this reminds me of the Symbol on the Warthog's shield on H2/ H2A [/img]
  22. Reaches patches, Desert http://i.imgur.com/PKOn4Bk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UobkYBs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2s22bSg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FtjxuHE.jpg Woodland http://i.imgur.com/kUCEamu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/N1TBBhu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pTGgebM.jpg http://i.imgur.com/T3IQcOA.jpg I think it's the lighting, but the shade of the patch is the same for both woodland and Desert, just easier to see the color in desert for the armor is darker
  23. About a 1/4 of the troopers wore no patch what so ever, or only on one shoulder while the other is bare, so I do believe that it is a unit patch. Also Halo: Reach only took place in the continent called the Viery Territory. So only a part of reach was in conflict. So its possible that it was 1CD sphere of influence [/img] But I'm talking about the 1st cav patch in the virtual arsenal. It's Bright blue and White, Like the 29ID As you can see http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/719790895347620897/B8C95EE1E41585662BBDF77B0E7440031E141322/ and this just kinda rubs me wrong. As a former 1st team member https://scontent-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/16978_1347161483680_7203853_n.jpg?oh=b582806fa5257efac01bf51de9a3d3a0&oe=55A00B4C
  24. Cause its the same sade as the desert Patch But even then. The Patch isn't bright blue and white. the one on reach is a blackish-blue and desert tan. And I'm good with that. I didn't mean the super bright yellow. Never wore that unless in dress uniforms. And my desert Patches if shine in the light right. The black thread shines blue. Just the ink that is used
  25. Hooah. Completely forgot About the ODST sporting the Star Spangled Banner Got these from the concept artist's tumbler http://isaachannaford.tumblr.com/ ---------- Post added at 10:20 ---------- Previous post was at 09:55 ---------- So I really believe with my heart that the blue and white 1st Cav patch is the wrong colors of the patch. I looked hard and it only comes up in the German verson of Halo nation as the Blue white. With no description. Looking over my photos. I truly believe it is the yellow black like the real 1st Cav I served in in Iraq is the Halo patches. these photos will show what I'm talking about http://i.imgur.com/XItlXqA.jpg (213 kB) http://i.imgur.com/OUiiYCC.jpg (267 kB)
