1. The thing is the MA37 is Part of the MA5 family Now looking around, we have the MA2B here And here is a concept someone made of the MA3 based off the MA2's And another group of concepts made by someone
2. List of them here http://www.reddit.com/r/OperationTrebuchet
3. Well. Remember that spacenavy made it that way, cause bungie forgot to make a ejection port on their BRs, but still had them eject to the right. BUT because there was no ejection port textures he had them come out the charing handle But 343 fixed that with H4 and H2A by actually adding one to the textures If you want. I'll record some slow-mo footage of the halo 2 anniversary BR55 firing for you ---------- Post added at 17:31 ---------- Previous post was at 16:34 ---------- But looks like the H2A BR Charging handle rocks back when shot, But the rounds ejects high, to the right and forward Like a M14
4. I actually had a ssg in my unit when I was in the 1st Cav who had a m4 designed for left handed shootera
5. Happy someone took noticed. It was brought up a while ago. But i completely forgot about it till I was playing a op with some friends and I was like, "Great, I'm going to get hot brass all up in my callor and burn my neck." Happened before when a .50 cal she'll casing dropped from the gunner's hatch, bounced inside the humvee, land in between my Iotv and my neck during love fire convoy exercises. Worse experience ever till I got it out ;-;
6. So looks like the M739 Saw (along with several Predecessors *the saw seen in Halo: Reach's concept art*) and the M363 Remote Projectile Detonator both saw use during the Insurrection I only bring up the M739 for it would be better suited for SF units like Army Airborne and ODSTs then the M73 in the mod already. Reasons being. #1 Lighter weight. -It is smaller and more compact, also with a smaller magazine drum holding 72 7.62 rounds, which happens to be a smaller caliber used by the heavier M73 #2 Drum magazine. -Being a M249 and 240B gunner in 2 departments in Iraq . I can tell you that reloading belt fed boxes is far more challenging in intense moments of stress. there were times I just said fuck it and slapped the spare 30 rounds mags I carried into the mag tray and shot the 249 like that till I had time to actually slide a new box into place and slide the rounds into the feed tray. #3 More rounds Cause the rounds are smaller, they wiegh less, meaning you can carry more rounds for the same amount of wieght. Meaning more rounds to shoot towards the enemy. The role of the saw gunners is to keep the enemy's head down, meaning to spray a ton of rounds down range at the general location that the enemy is at. If you hit and kill a guy. Bonus \â—‹/ But also, cause the saw gunner is carrying more rounds on his person. It eliminates the need of a Ammo Carrier to carry More rounds to keep the saw feed. As ODST teams roll out in teams of 5. Having one as a Ammo Carrier would hurt the team. Especially if you play like me and my friends who put a strict wieght limit on our team. Go in light, fast, and hard, and out before the sun is up. But these are my thoughts, using real world applications. The M73 is great for line units like the Army and Marines. But I've been finding short comings when applying it in the form of a SF team. Still sticking to the MA5's ( the GL verson for it fires slower) and loading him with 60 round mags. but it also hurts us for it doesn't have the full-auto accuracy that the M73/M739 does. But i thought I bring it up. Just to say my peace on the subject. Sense I did digging and found out it was around during the Insurrection. Just like how the 1st BRs were issued out during The mid 2400's If you decide to think on it. Cool. If not. No big deal
7. Question. I was watching this video 'Any plans to have the rounds eject from the right hand side soon. or is it still going to eject left
8. I was playing reach and remembered that you run across a Restaurant/ Food booth thing, you want me to get some screen shots for you to add in on building for civilian cities? Some random epicness of me on Halo 2: Anniversary
9. the Falcon is like 2-3x bigger then the hornet bro, go play Halo 3 and then Reach again [/img] [/img] ---------- Post added at 22:56 ---------- Previous post was at 22:54 ---------- But it isn't the Size, look at what the engines are. Your all about mass and size and nothing about what the power and type of engines they are using, if they were all prop, I would Agree, but the Hornet and Pelican use jet engines, the hornet's able to turn them in all directions. the pelican, Multiple maneuvering Jets. sorry, the falcon only using Rudders and the Rotatory blades. It can't compete
10. the Falcon is like 2-3x bigger then the hornet bro, go play Halo 3 and then Reach again. And if you did, then you forgot that the Hornet was used just like the littlebird in the very beginning intro
11. But it is being made like real life Halo. And if you didn't know, The Hornet (http://www.halopedia.org/AV-14_Hornet) which they are working on, Is the Littlebird. And also, I flown in Ospreys (In a Air Show) and Chinooks (Cause I was in the army kicking ass in Iraq) in real Life, both with moveable rotors, and They don't turn anywhere near as fast as the Falcon does in ARMA. The Blackhawks turned faster then the Osprey when we we're flying in formation. and the Falcon is already 3x more maneuverable and 10x faster then the Falcon in reach. Also. Pelican - Chinook Falcon - Blackhawk Hornet - Littlebird. The falcon is both in lore and the use in arma is the same as the blackhawk, it is how it was functionally designed to be. But The Hornet. Fills the Exact roll as the Littlebird. Silently inserting forces onto objectives without being seen, and providing heavy fire support when needed. You should go Read the 1st several chapters of Contact Harvest and you will see this
12. Now let me tell you about the actual Halo Pelican and Halo Falcon of the Halo Universe and not Halo Reach Lets start with the Pelican. Its a VTOL Jet transport/Gunship. With maneuvering jets in all sides meant for very tight turning and Very High speeds. Now the Falcon is a medium rotary transport, It has small Jets to allow for faster forward thrust and Take off over the average chopper, but it even then, It is still a twin rotatory chopper that still relies on the Blades and rudder pedals to turn. The gun is suppose to be able to aim where the Pilot is aiming like the hind or Apache, it is not designed to do strafing runs in the same aspect of the of a Littlebird. It is more a blackhawk with heavy gun attached to it then anything. But they said they will add a hover function to allow the falcon to hover and the pilot to aim the gun where ever he wants like a Apache. Like the Actual falcon. So once that happens, it'll be able to use its cannon to it's actual effect. Now lets us compare. Because the Pelican has maneuvering Jets over the rotors and rudders of the Falcon, It will be far more maneuverable then the Falcon, even though it is way bigger then the falcon. The Falcon is nowhere like the Littlebird either, which the Hornet fills that roll The Whole purpose of the Falcon is to Act as a cheep medium transport where the pelican is deemed to expensive or noisy to use. It isn't really meant to act in the same fighting role as a little bird, and if it is. They go in large numbers and rely more on the side gunners then the main gun itself as the same aspect as the Huey did sometimes in Vietnam
13. No, at the end, he said he wanted to be part of a team. not leading a team. but he wasn't done fighting New Blood ending
14. basically, with the ability to lock altitude. So been playing Halo Spartan Assault and strike. And Combat Engineers are decked out in Orange Armor with Yellow helmets while Combat Researchers deployed by ONI are all decked out in White Armor with Yellow helmets ---------- Post added at 14:52 ---------- Previous post was at 14:22 ---------- Agent Locke's Team Has been Uncover do to the Hunt the Truth campaign if you guys have been keeping tabs on it Pretty much what the community agrees on starting from Left to Right 1) Romeo - Halo 3: ODST 2A) Macer - Halo: Nightfall or 2B) Tanaka - Halo: Escalation 3) Locke - Halo: Nightfall 4) Buck - Halo 3: ODST The full picture the community has been unlocking [/img] ---------- Post added at 16:33 ---------- Previous post was at 14:52 ---------- Once the Next update drops. I try to get my clan to start doing Ops (If not, Tag Along with other clans) with OPTREB and get some video's going and then do a whole promoting the mod thread on Halo Waypoint. Right now, All I have still are a lot of TEI video's and Trailers. And I need to use something current to capture people's attention
15. And that feels like some very good reasons. But yeah I just played that level on Halo reach again. Man, your very slow. Like I think the max speed you get is like 30-45kph. It's probably why you feel "nibble" on it. But then I play the mod and I can push it to over 200kph. And when I get it to the speeds thag halo reach is. It's very nimble. Now it's way harder to aim the gun cause Arma uses real flight mechanics while halo is very arcadey. And I don't think Arma will even be able to get that feel. But i don't mind.
16. I just was playing halo reach and the falcon on OPTREB is way more agile and fast then the Falcon on reach. So I'm liking it. Also you guys have to realize about the pelican and falcon. The Falcon is prop with a bit of jet thrust, the pelican is all jet thrust. Meaning that unlike the Falcon, Which was designed as a cheep solution to insert troops when the pelican was deemed to expensive, the pelican as the extra turning thrusters to do sharper turns and greater thrust then the Falcon, which would use rudders and the props. So truthfully, in my honest opinion. How they are now at this current moment. I believe they are fine. Also the landing gear on both the pelican and falcon are amazing. Playing with the falcon. I can slow it down from 300kph to touch down 1/2 to 1/3 The distance it takes the Ghost Hawk without exposing the bird high in the air like a lot of inexperienced pilots do when they are about to hit the lz. But this is from my experience with the mod and Arma's flight models
17. So I remembered playing Star Wars battlefront 2 and playing this mod where you fought in and around the wreck of a crashed Veniator-Class Star Destroyer. So the Idea popped in my head. Any thoughts of having a static Model of the Charon-Class Frigate where it looks like it crashed onto the planet with many gaping holes going into it from missle strikes that you can place on the ground. And create ops where the ship is carrying vital Intel in its data banks or still has nukes on it and you have to secure the wreck and take back whatever the Innies stole from it? Their answers for multiple floors were ramps. They seemed to work well. It's just a idea. Just a something that popped in my head when I was watching the Battlefront 3 trailer and seeing the Star Destroyer crash in the end and going, "I remember that one bad ass mod for Battlefront 2" and thought to share the idea
18. Ah, so you don't need those photos I take it. I'm off tomorrow and was going to finally get them for you lol
19. They said they were going to go the more Halo reach style in this mod. So I would think they would use these models Ruck [/img] Carryall [/img] But if you want a better look of the Ruck from the Halo Wars/ Halo 2 Anniversary armor, I got one
20. Cause I was doing the math. What happens when a clan makes their own Fatigues. Like 5 of them. They have to get it that the armor matches too With the current model. That is 15+ uniforms. And what of they want to have it so the fatigues can work with All the armor. So now instead of having a mod pack of just 5 fatigues. You have mod pack of 15+ uniforms. Now what happens if they want to share it with the community. You think someone is going to download a pack of let's say 40 uniforms to add to customization. You think really think someone will add that much data to their modpack. But if it could be ruduced to 5 uniforms. What if someone wants to make a Zebra stripped armor that is pink and black. Instead of just working on 2 - 5 Different armor Models. With the current system. He has to work with 2 armor Models and 20 different uniforms. The amount of work and data that takes would make people think twice to in instead of "Fuck yeah. Pink and black Zebra armor. Now I'm looking pimpen' " ---------- Post added at 12:58 ---------- Previous post was at 12:25 ---------- So issue 1 I brought up, the fatigues and the actual look of them was already being addressed Issue 2, which to me was the biggest problem when it came to actual customization, which is the separation of the fatigues and armor, is finally understood. So overall. A good day. All that stuff with the Armor and versions. That was all suggestions. For the armor is no longer part of the fatigues, allowing for the mod team to actually create more models like BI did with the plate carriers with vanilla. The damn defualt plate carriers had like 8 different versions of it at launch. Though now the GL version and special carrier rig are now IOTVs. But still nato has a lot of choices to from. And this was what I was trying to say. If you decided to add more armor varriants. You have a whole Article of References to look at. And I can always get more detailed if needed ---------- Post added at 14:08 ---------- Previous post was at 12:58 ---------- OFFICIAL CANON FODDER COMMUNITY Q&A SUBMISSIONS If you ever wanted to ask 343I any questions about halo canon. 21. Got it. Your Mod. Your decisions Only thought of it so that way people could swap fatigues on the fly or armor on the fly depending on the change of situation. Kinda like Vanilla arma and RHS does with its fatigues and armor. Instead of having to swap Both Armor and Fatigues at the same time You know. I think my suggestion was confused of the actual changing of the look of the armor. It may be possible. hard to tell. I only threw the armor out there as examples. What I was trying to say and may have failed at is was Trooper was saying. Which I just fixed Exactly
22. Never said now. It is only alpha right now. To request the change now is insanity and stupid. I know that. But to see something Late Beta is very realistic. I know you guys have WAAAAAAAAAY to much on your plate right now. But i'm throwing the ideas out there to having it on the planning board for future ideas when development slows down
23. nope, talking about a complete rework of the armor, to make it look of the armor and fatigues from reach itself. to completely remove the armor attachments from the fatigues and just have it as attachments to the vest itself. (The vanilla vest do this with pistol holsters on the thighs, mag bags on the hips and not shoulder armor with the GL vest) stirls understands what i'm talking about and i was already pm'd that it is on the list, but low priority at the moment
