  1. Well.... we couldn't seem to get a damage model working the way we could deem fun for the Tango Hunt. We'll play around with it some more guys. sorry, its hard to balance being to squishy or to tanky
  2. yes, it'll be 242Nightstalkers. Right now we are trying to figure out how to get the damage right, right now the AI just slaughter us cause of the Ability to 1 shot us from 500m in full ODST gear. We are trying to figure out if we should use AGM or not. And a host of a few smaller issues. Like the right load outs where we won't steam roll the enemy or the enemy won't over power us without breaking a sweat. Tango Hunt is a challenging Infantry Experience. where team coordination is paramount. COD run and gun players will get the whole team killed I'll post server IP when it's about to launch
  3. Hey guys. My clan should be finished with tango hunt. They are treaking out the damage systems and loadouts but should be done soon and server should be up by lunch. Tango hunt is a hunt the enemy style game play. Where your squad must work together to hunt an enemy unit that has set up camp or is on patrol in the AO. It's a one life senario. No revives. Both you and the enemy has spawned in random areas of the map and all your given is a general area of where you are and the enemy. No gps. Real land nav skills will be needed. Mission ends when the enemy is all dead or your all dead. The requirement that are for sure is TEI. Task force radio, Agm and alive. I'll have the full list when the mission editors are about done with it. We may have a arma3sync download for the modlist for those who dont have the mods When the mod list is finished

  5. It isn't. Wish my m870 in Iraq was that good. would've never needed to keep my m4 slung on my back as a secondary. Would've just kept it in the Mrap Anyone need a breacher for any innie crushing. Just call me in. Me and my new shooty will reck shop Maybe I'll be a gun for hire and stomp on some ODSTs for the Insurrection. Martha needs to do some singing
  6. Dat shotgun. My new favorite weapon of all time. 1 shots ODSTs from 100m away no problem. xD
  7. Any thoughts increasing the armor values of the armor, I know in the books (Contact harvest, Fall of Reach, Cole protocol, and Kilo-6 trilogy ) that the UNSC Armor can take a few hits. And possibly the armored vest of the elite innies To take at least 1 shot? For right now, what my clan is doing is using AGM to have it where the 1st 3-4 shots to the chest plate does 5% to the soldiers health then the plate is ruined and you take full damage (well you get knocked out for the medic to heal you. Unless you get shot in the face, thats instant death. We are debating getting shot in the helmet should do moderate damage for 1 shot, but your still up, do high damage and knock you out, our straight kill you.) and have to get a new chest plate or helmet if you don't want to go down in one shot after patching yourself up.
  8. My clan may have a Tango Hunt server up once we finish working out the kinks and get scripting done. Should be up this weekend hopefully. Really depends on the clan lead. But he said he'll work on it for me. Right now all our mod pack makers and mission scripters are hard at work bug testing. Once they are done and it's up. I'll post on here that we have a server up and mods you'll need. Which will most likely be Dragonfyre, blastcore, tfar, and agm. Possibly a few more.
  9. cool. That's good to hear. Have you played Tango Hunt. It's pretty intense. Just you and your friends, no gps, no scopes, One life against a highly equipped enemy, and random spawn locations any where on the map. Have to rely on your, your land nav skills and dead eye to succeed. It's pretty challenging but fun. Once we get the mod working with it, you should join us for a round or two.
  10. Mind if I post a link to the armaholic to the community made content forums on halo waypoint. You may not think it but a lot of Halo fanboys frequent that site regularly
  11. Passed the Download to all my active clan members and all my arma 3 and halo fanboys
  12. Did you watch halo: Nightfall? Those miners came from a colony founded by Arabic colonists. It's possible to be fighting isis style rebels. Hell the rainforest wars were against nazis and commies
  13. So no AGM yet? Okay. I'll inform my clan leader. He was making tango hunt dealing with the mod and we use agm an extra bit of realism.
  14. Have you guys thought of posting your armaholic information on the forums of Halo waypoint community created halo content? I was about to get your name out there further, but then thought to ask you guy instead. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/92b5c5cfee994e7299608301a6b2eb11/topics
  15. Those who are not satisfied are those who are not fans of the effort you guys are putting into this. All I know I'd you have enough for the anti insurgent light infantry action my clan likes to do. So it'll be fun. ---------- Post added at 13:41 ---------- Previous post was at 13:40 ---------- Is* not I'd ( on phone or would edit it)
  16. For your guys viewing pleasure for the laughs and good times
  17. Ah, what I was saying was that the ARMY Airborne uses the Air Assault helmet itself for their operations. "Airborne personnel are equipped with Ushuaia Armory's Air Assault helmet, which was developed as an improvement on the helmet worn by the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers; Pathfinders prefer the FC-I variant of the helmet. The Airborne presumably use some form of the Army Battle Dress Uniform. It is likely that they utilize components of the MJOLNIR hard-point series, which is designed for use in parachute and parafoil operations, and the compatible G-25 airfoil carapace." from http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/UNSC_Army_Airborne If not, we'll use the Open Vacuum sealed helmets. Its no big deal. Sorry if I made it seem like one haha
  18. Space Navy was very kind to answer this question on page 170, please take to time to honer this kindness by actually looking.
  19. I know the main focus is ODSTs. But I'd there any thoughts on UNSC Army Airborne Uniforms. Possibly Just Use EVA uniforms with early model air assult helmets that act like the ODSTs
  20. So I'm sitting here at work and I was looking at info on the vechs from Halo wars cause I love that game and I was reading that the vulture was used to fight rebels in the same role that the AC 130 was used in. I'm like, "That is to OP" http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/AC-220_Gunship
  21. This here is a actual list of know uniforms used in Halo: Reach used by the UNSC Army http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111025215511/halo/images/c/c7/UNSC_Army_variations.png That said. The camouflage the these modders work. My last 6 months of service in the Army was being attached to my company's S6 shop, or supply for you civilians. So looking at it from a actual military aspect, the UEG spans over 1000 worlds. Unlike UNSC Marine Corps which mainly composes of Expeditionary Forces that after a long campaign, 9 times out of 10 (for the most part being replaced by the Army who act as an occupation force) will always return to Reach or Earth for fresh personal from boot and equipment. The UNSC Army is a more permanent force. Once they land on a location. They are pretty much there to stay. And because of that. Command of those post would start contacting out to local manufacturers for gear and equipment. Vehicles, armor, and arms form the closest industrial planets. While uniforms would come for local companies and contractors. for 2 reasons. 1st reason, you want uniforms to match your local environment of the planet (why the unsc army of reach had like 6-8 different uniform patterns. that we even know of. For that was just 1 continent that we fought on on halo reach. For all we know they could've had another 20 camo patterns for Reach itself plus Army units in transition to other fronts that happen to be on Reach during the invasion with their own camo) 2nd reason is cost. How expensive would it be to have your uniforms to be shipped half way across the galaxy when you can make it right there on the planet you are on for a way cheaper cost. But what about the marines. We only see them in the olive green from halo 2 and 3 and the drab grays for halo Reach and CE. Well marines are meant for boarding parties and Expeditionary forces. So Olive green is a great base color for invasions to new territory. Even the US military and many Nato countries used it for over 50 years and is still used today, till we swapped to the woodland BDUs. And the grays are meant for boarding actions. Which the marines on the Pillar of Autumn were specialized for cause of its special mission to capture a enemy capital ship. It is possible that even newly commissioned UNSC Army units rocking nothing but olive green till they land a permanent posting. For you encounter soldiers in nothing but olive green in the "tip of the spear" mission on reach. So overall. The camo these guys used are Sweet. But using the camo from what we use today is valid too. For as the guide in Halo said for UNSC tech. "If it works, why fix it." motto. I know my clan plans to use our own colors for the uniforms for we have our own Camo template. And the guys here at EI are awesome for making it so we can do that. I know me and my mission planner Booker are drumming up a whole dynamic op. So we are pumped *This whole series of information comes from the working of extensive halo lore, Extreme workings of Nato armies 1st hand, and the workings of the Imperial Guard from warhammer 40k. For Game Workshop has been writing the hand book of space marines and galactic war sense 1988. And you figure with a long track record like that, they have it really worked out by now that it would be stupid not looking at imperial guard for reference *
  22. The latest patch last night to mcc has fix a lot of issues. the forums on halo waypoint a abuzz with people celebrating that they are finding matches quick and halo 1 and 2 multi is now playable. I was actually able to get into a btb match in less then 5 minutes. Was shocked Have you guys accounts for barrel lengths and velocities in your weapon stats. This last patch to arma 3 broke the weapons we used. Making m16 1/2 as accurate as m4s and hk m416 1/10 the weight of m4s. We had to swap back to vinilla weapons cause of it
  23. I'm on this on my phone when at work which gives me no edit option. Or I would. And which now I'm awake and on my pc, I cleaned up my post. :p
  24. Nice. A working elevator You know. Strike all those extra weapons from the record for the Charon. Was looking further into it. Those are the guns they added to the forward onto dawn on halo 4 :(
  25. Making a arma clan is rough. You have to have a system strong enough to host a server or 2. And if not, you have to rent a sever from a server rental company, and those are not cheap. Then the cost of renting a teamspeak. Then you need an team of mission makers and scripters. For If you only have one, he'll get burned out real quickly. The best is 5+ for you can rotate between mission makers each week. Giving the others to refine the operation. Then that gives them time to make fun horsing around operations that you do in between the weekly op to keep your clan busy and give your mission maker something fun he would like to do without Repercussions. Then you have the deal With recruitment and Attendence. For the moment you have 6 people not show up without saying they were not coming, it can ruin the whole op for you need to scale it for a lack of personal. And when it happens again, you'll lose more members and it goes down hill. Then there is getting a working public server going and keeping full of moderators and working to try to get a high population count. For If you can do that, you got recruitment right there. All in all it is very rough to get a clan from scratch working and getting on its feet. it all comes down to having the personnel, money, and LOTS of free time. I would totally create a clan solely focused on the Halo mod. It would be great. but to start from scratch is really tall order. No where as bad as actually doing all the modding we play off of. But it can be just as stressful, especially if your a clan leader. Really? You have a link? For I know the elevators in the Nimitz are super buggy. Clipping through and falling into the ocean. F18s blowing up Or getting stuck http://www.halopedia.org/Charon-class_light_frigate It says then Charon has Unidentified secondary defense guns (6x quad-linked) and Unidentified tertiary point defense guns (3) So they can be smaller aaa guns like how the Charon does on sins of the prophets. For when you engage enemy ships in close combat in that mod. It'll engage with macs, missles and the 50mm guns while smaller guns fight off fighters. Tertiary point defense guns are basically CWIS anti missles defense guns you see on cruisers and destroyers example So the Unidentified secondary defense guns (6x quad-linked) are most likely the anti fighter defense that sins uses on thier Charon So sense they are quad. You could use the turrets from the nato anti air apc and use 4 barrels instead of 2
