JohnRobertvh 10 Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) Hi everyone. I would really appreciate some help regarding mission editing. QUESTION 1: When I create a single player mission I cannot seem to get the waypoint icon to display the distance or direction to the objective. When playing a campaign game this icon is visible. The only time this icon becomes visible during the created mission is when the player enters a vehicle, i.e. chopper. See below image. The waypoint icon shows the enemy base as being 613m away. QUESTION 2: The other issue I'm having with created mission is that when I press the corresponding key on my keyboard to highlight all my units to see their relative position on the map nothing happens. See this image. The option to show the waypoint marker at all times has been selected as well. Any help to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.ThanksJohn Edited July 9, 2010 by JohnRobertvh
sanctuary 19 Posted July 9, 2010 When you launch OFP and go in the mission editor, the difficulty is set to "Veteran" mode by default automatically. In Veteran mode, markers do not appear for infantry, but appear for vehicles that have radars. To set the mission editor to Cadet mode, and so have the markers/waypoint appear for the soldiers, go in the single player menu and load a mission with the Cadet difficulty, quit it and then launch the mission editor. The markers/waypoints should then appear for infantry now (if you didn't removed their display in the difficulty panel as Cadet mode can have several on/off options)
JohnRobertvh 10 Posted July 9, 2010 At last. Your advice totally solved the issue. I never realized the editor would automatically give a veteran game to play. I assumed it would also be set to cadet mode as my campaign settings is those of a cadet. Thank you so much. Appreciated.
