tacticalnuggets 24 Posted July 8, 2010 ArmA2 needs a multiplayer revolution. Something that will get people online again. Something that will make it easier for people to play arma2 multiplayer. ArmA2's multiplayer engine is too old to handle all the new features in the game. You may feel the need to flame me for being so critical, but any arma2 player can see that there is a numbers problem online. But the point of this thread was not to create a mission, just to get people to voice up and join the "revolution", because despite there being many people who are voicing up, there is not enough and the damage continues in arma2. Oh, and my mission is going to be PVP, a new type of zone pvp that is dynamicaly generated by the players (zones and fortifications). But I'm not going to say anything else cause i'm going to be busy working on it this summer. Biggest thing when making missions is to have all special features scripted and not addons to increase compatibility. As in, semi-realistic but fast enough to be able to have some type of action going on, whether transporting troops and supplies, doing recon and FAC work, or just sneaking in and taking a town the enemy left unguarded. I wouldnt want it to be another BF or CoD, but I'd like it to run as smooth as them atleast.... I think what it is, not only the big environments, but EVERY game I've played that has destructible worlds, ala Soldner if you guys played that, run slow, just because they have so much else going on besides the actual combat and things, the buildings and trees are trying to always decide whether they should explode or not lol. So yeah, my votes in :) I played a few rounds of multiplayer, and it was freakin awesome, up until we got to our NPC enemies and nobody could hit them because of the games lag, we were all fine, just the npcs were laggin. Thank God we had a guy in an attack chopper.... lag doesnt mess so much with big booms, they usually hit anyway :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
