cant locate captives with UAV

I just started the game and I am flying around in this UAV vampire 3 and I have no idea what to do?! help!!

Press M to open the map. Now click on the map and the UAV will go there. Visit each location for a few moments and look around.

Uh, I've got a similar problem, I can get the UAV to fly around the question marks, but how is this supposed to help me? It's so far up you can't spot anything on the ground! I don't get it...

In this mission you have to direct the ULB to the three locations and have a closer look at the spots for a couple of seconds then the mission control will tell you that there's nothing of interest around or that it's the right location and the mission will continue.

Btw, you can zoom in and out with "+" and "-" on the numpad.

You have to click Left Mouse Button to activate the Laser Marker in order to send the Information to the HQ and to proceed on the the 4th mission where you play as a Delta Force Sergeant to rescue the captives

You need to turn on Laser Marker on the MQ-9 to locate the captives

Point it to the place and scan the area, it will trigger the script in the mission
